  1. Did we go as hard as we could i wonder WW? But yes he always had intentions of going to the Pies and probably would have gone for similar $ / terms or even slightly less. He made it well known he wasn't a happy camper at the MFC prior to the deal and it was his dream to play in the black & white so no matter what we did we were probably on a hiding to nothing and we just had to get what we could from the trade.
  2. So officially hearing that our coach is super eager to get him along with "many others" doesn't effect his manager's ability to upsell a little Bin? Surely you aren't that naive.
  3. Let the Co's just focus on getting the best pre-season in possible. Both only managed half a pre-season so lets see how they go on all cylinders. It's not just about fitness though they both need to improve their decision making and disposal skills and Viney needs to add some serious evasive agility and quick ball spread by hand to his arsenal if he's going to be asked to continue to play serious time in the middle. Big M Captain and AVB as VC if he makes it through. May as DVC or VC if AVB is still NQR towards the season proper. I think Jack will improve with a full pre-season but he aint no captain.
  4. Willow coming on SEN with Whately now re his lost medal presentation last night
  5. Does the trade scene start to get a little more serious now that there's only two teams remaining and the Charles 'Midfielder' Medal is out of the way?
  6. "Like many clubs"? .... Goody could have said the same thing "we'd love him at our footy club" without talking up his price surely. He is a real worry our Simon.
  7. Can you see us investing in and moving that far away from the G though George? What would the 12,000ish MCC members say?
  8. Not at all Dsone ...there's always a solution at hand
  9. O-Mac TGR. Tomlinson as a swingman can handle that role (couldn't be any worse) with aplomb in comparison if we get desperate through injury. Pruess is still handy in thr ruck if Max is having a break for a week or so. A great 'managed' go to for Max especially late into a long season.
  10. Happy with that.....even better if we delisted O-Mac in the process
  11. And also allow us the luxury of not playing other smalls/mediums who might not be ready for AFL just yet YB. They can continue to work and hone their craft at Casey a little longer and show us their potential there before getting a lucky window call up through injury, suspension or poor form if they've earned it. Greater depth will also mean spots in the 22 are harder to come by putting pressure on those in the 22 to maintain their performace. Something we found out was sadly lacking this season with a stack of games being gifted (yes often through injury necessity) to players who clearly weren't in form and/or able to take the step up required at AFL level.
  12. Just click bait by Tom. One day after the PF and his phone has lit up!?? Gimme a break. He has no idea who else (if anyone) is coming (the give away highlighted below).... LIVEWIRE BY SEN 14 MINUTES AGO Channel 7’s Tom Browne is reporting that the race for Jamie Elliott’s signature has heated up, with Melbourne not the only club interested in the Collingwood forward. Elliott, 27, is out-of-contract at the end of this season, and with the Pies’ year now over, more clubs are in the hunt for him. “The race for Elliott has heated up this morning,” Browne told Channel 7’s Game Day. “Melbourne are offering three years, Collingwood are offering two. “My understanding is this: multiple clubs, with money, are interested in Elliott. “The main ones would be Hawthorn, potentially with salary cap space, also the Bulldogs and North Melbourne, so I think there will be a real race for Elliott now in coming weeks.
  13. Good morning minions... for a nice accompaniment and juxtaposition play the tube vid before hitting the twitter link. Enjoy... https://twitter.com/7AFL/status/1175351743648956417?s=09
  14. Eddie also has his tentacles everywhere UF. Pitty it had to be the orange circus but would rather that than another 'Colllllliiiiinwoooood' chant echoeing around the G next Saturday. The Toiges have at least managed to grow and prosper organically, especially on the road, where they've played plenty more than the filth over the last decade or so and often come out the victor agaisnt the odds on many occasions. They were also on their last legs like us when they went on their fund raiser many moons back and have completely turned things around. Their supporters have stuck fat also going through a massive finals drought but still turning up for more rubbish year after year until things finally turned. It has a familiar ring to it.
  15. Conflicted yes but certainly not clueless Jack. They know EXACTLY what they're doing. Everything is extremely well massaged and managed, starting with the fixture each season and ending in a rediculous FA system that allows the likes of Lynch to end up at a team that won a premiership merely two seasons ago. Very few outcomes / trends are accidental in the AFL system anymore including the Toby Greene suspension. Fairness is certainly not a word i would equate in any way with the AFL and it's been that way since the VFL backflipped on its original agreement to rotate the recruiting zones back in the late 60s.
  16. Hear hear SF. What a pathetic bunch of AFL trollops
  17. Good riddance Eddie!! Take the rest of the filth with you
  18. Pies aren't due till 2030 anyways
