		GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong

Might be time for a few Toby minutes. As you said push Viney forward for a stint. Viney has burnt us coming inside twice now. If you arent doing that at least pull Viney aside and make him aware of where he needs to improve with some vision at half time. Same with Kozzy & Lingers with their mark and decision making on the wing/HF. Clean that schiit up FCS! Can also go inside once in a while. Straight ahead all the time is too predictable and easy to defend.

Kozzys uncertainty on the far wing then trying some cute kick around the corner for another turnover. Bloody awful. I would rather gain 40 - 45 meters near the boundary and have the Cats win the 50 / 50 there. Whose playbook is this rubbish? Fritta just outside 50 decides he cant make it but then kicks it too close to the goal line to give anyone a chance to run on. Also seermingly no signal to say "im going short here" ?? PLAY THE PERCENTAGES/BASICS if you cant make the distance or at least look for a short pass lateral to keep posession until someone makes an option!

PLAY THE PERCENTAGES AND BASICS IN BIG MATCHES LINGERS!! WHAT WAS THAT USELESS KICK STRAIGHT TO A CAT. LINGERS AND VINEY DUMB COMING INSIDE HAS COST US TWO POTENTIAL GOALS AND HANDED THEM TWO ON A PLATTER!

Theyrw playing a spare... need to either chaos with a tumble punt or hit up a player short or wide on the fat side lead (last part too hard under pressure obviously)

Trying to play the Cats own precise possession game instead of going long & direct once in the clear is costing us big time. Once in the clear off HB and pressure closing, back your players up the field and go long. The extra handball or short kick to another player under pressure is killing any momentum and also our forwards chances of winning any one on ones. BB solid first quarter and much more involved. Takes two contesteds on the wing, then goes back to assess but takes way too long. Cats all flooded back. Opportunity lost. Move it on quickly inside 50 with a low raking kick towards a Maxy or Dogga and let the smalls go to work.

		TEAMS: Rd 17 vs Geelong

I dont mind the idea but if this were in the FDs head space surely they would've trialled it at Casey level first to see if he has potential in this role. From there i would guess the seniors would then have to train it prior to rolling it out on game day?

Ditto.... as i said a few weeks back. He's the Bowey of 2021 but in the front half.

		Is our offense a problem?

It's all about loading. All genuine forwards have been on a special loading regime which started in Rnd 1 & ends after round 23. Mark my words, all forwards will increase their output by 20% to 30% from that first final onwards. Get with the times you lot!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN

Website is still saying 84kg Ox. Could be outta date though. Still looks pretty lean from the naked eye this season but who knows. Would think he's put a little on by now.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN

Could be wrong but my understanding is he's been played mostly as a transitional intercept / running HB for most of this season (when he's been on the park). Seem to recall more stints (drifting?) forward last season where he looked a little more exciting/showed a bit more?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN

Seem to recall some really impressive moments/patches from Fraser at least in terms of reading the play / intercepting. Not sure how well he's going with ball in hand. Others here might have a better handle here with accuracy/decision making etc. Lots of interruptions probably a bit hard to gauge where he's at this year. Reminds me just a tad of a taller version of Phil Pinnell at times when i watch him. Can't see him holding down a KP at any point as he looks a little fragile physically and that's probably not where he's at anyway. At least another season at Casey to assess. Hopefully one where he gets on the park more often than not.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Port Melbourne

No doubt he'll get back at some point Dante. Not sure that'll happen while we are winning though, unless there's an injury to a similar role player.

		NOT Taylor Walker

This is a tricky one. We are definitely in need of the exact style of forward that Tex offers. A proven performer and loves the big stage. If i recall correctly he's also one of the best in the AFL with the most important kick in footy. But then there's the big fat ego that he carries around. Is there anything humble about this guy, even after the last incident i wonder? Has he learned anything? Is he a team player or does the whole world, along with team mates & the FD (in his mind) need to revolve around Tex? Certainly brings a big game and worthy of genuine consideration but...this feels like a pretty risky option and not one to be taken lightly. The other question.... who else is out there & going to be available in 2023 (playing a similar game/role) that would be as good or better than Tex?

Weighted Average Scores up to & including Rnd 16, 2022 vs H&A Season 2021 Most of the top 10 are tracking very nicely and either slightly above their 2021 averages with Jordan, Viney and Jackson showing a significant improvement on last season's output. Langdon's recent form is looking very promising (touch wood). Unfortunately all genuine forwards, bar Spargo, are way off their 2021 averages or marginally so in the case of BBB & Fritsch. Not taking much notice of Sam's big percentage jump as it's off a very low base in 2021. Ranking wise he hasn't moved anywhere on last season's result. Lever is slowly bridging the gap on his 2021 form while Harmes appears to be struggling a little with consistency post his return from the hamstring issue. Salem tracking quite well since his return. Ben Brown

Two obvious reasons we arent seeing BB in tip top form.... 1. The 100 meter run up means he is in recovery mode for at least 5 minutes after every shot at goal 2. He isn't eating meat like Macca. Gotta eat your meat! Because we all know that Animal protein = goal accuracy. Plant Protein = inaccuracy

Round 16, 2022 Adelaide Oval - Crows vs Demons Tracc is back! Pips Clarry at the statistical post this week. Let's take a look at how he got there... 24 effectives @ 73% efficiency, 1 contested mark, 2 marks inside 50, 5 clearances, 2 rebound 50s, 6 inside 50s, 6 tackles, the most score involvements on the night with 11, two intercepts, one tackle inside 50, 451 meters gaines, 3 goals and only 3 turnovers. I heard the SEN (SA) commentators waxing lyrical about how many tackles Berry made during the match. He did have a huge tally of 13. However there was no mention of Clarry at any stage who matched him with his own massive tackle count of 13. The two Browns fired hitting the scoreboard with two goals a piece. Lingers best game (statistically) since Rnd 8 vs the Saints where he scored a season high 6.10 (coming second just behind Clarry in that match's rankings). Top 5 meters gained for the MFC: May 536, Langdon 532, Lever 495, Salem 453 & Tracc with 451. The most for both clubs on the night was Dawson with 649. NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022

How about Took with only eyes for the ball, getting his legs smashed out from under him in that last 4 minutes.... "play on" ....hilarious. What a joke the umps have turned this game into through their ineptitude. And the AFL keeps backing them in with their constant "nothing to see here!"
