  1. Yep and people said he was no good because he didn’t immediately hold down Full Back 🙄
  2. Sure, if you love a throw 😂 Mitchell and Libba are slow. Clarry has a brilliant burst of speed and his ability to pick up the ball one handed while charging forward is unmatched. He won us the game last night by doing just that in the final centre bounce and then had the vision to hit the ball lace out to Spargo. He is a talent like no other. I will fight to the death anyone who thinks he isn’t the best inside mid in the competition! He was winning AA blazers at 20 in a game over flowing with midfielders who can see ball and get ball. He is special.
  3. Richmond. Ugh. Please no!
  4. The absolute love fest for the Bont is just annoying. Look he is a star, incredible vision, amazing ball user, beautiful to watch. But was he a 7 votes good on the weekend? Hell no. I watched the entire game and he was just OK. Did some nice things but did not go hard when the game was there to be won. He did get a nice helping hand from the umpires tho. You can already tell he’s won the Brownlow the way these umpires fawn over him like a love stuck teenager. Oliver isn’t flashy but nobody does what he does. Nobody is even close to him in the league when it comes to getting clean ball out of contested situations with his hands. He is a miracle footballer and until the day I die I will maintain that he’s a better player than Trac (who is an A grader!)
  5. I get the vibe they will take no risks with Tmac next week at all. Too important from round 23 on.
  6. Great. Much harder for the Dogs. I like it. Thanks Tassie. Now please also let me come and holiday there in the pre finals bye. Thanks.
  7. He was the best forward on the ground. Darling did SFA and Kennedy was hampered by injury (I think Kennedy is a monster FF and an absolute star but he’s in his twilight now).
  8. Absolutely bizarre votes. Is Simpson OK? Also Trac not a stand out for best on ground for mine at all. But I’m not complaining when a Melbourne player gets a perfect 10.
  9. The only thing they should be saying is "too bad we aren't fit enough or interested enough to play 120 minutes of footy and thank god lightening gave us a 30 minute breather so we could get going for 15 minutes and kick some goals to make the game look less one sided". And also "I sent Nicholls the cheque yesterday guys".
  10. Sam Blease. Talk about PTSD. I tried so hard to forget how bad we were at recruiting, developing, playing and life in general back then... thanks for bringing all that up again.
  11. Absolute locks unless injured are below FB. May Petty Hunt HB. Rivers Lever Salem C. Langdon Oliver Brayshaw HF. Spargo T-Mac ANB F. Fritsch B. Brown Pickett R. Gawn Petracca Harmes I/C Jackson If Hunt is badly injured I would say his replacement will be Hibbo purely for experience and the fact that he can do a shut down role on a dangerous resting mid. I would not want Bowey taking on that pressure in finals. Then the interchange for me will be a horses for courses from: JJ (Believe he should be in anyway), Viney, Melksham, Bowey, Sparrow and Jones if we want experience. I think we will alternate the medi sub depending on who is carrying what injury, the weather and also if VFL can continue, to get good miles into legs in preparation for more finals. I think Melksham has a role to play, as does Viney come finals (and have no doubt he will walk straight into the side), but I think JJ is really versatile and for that reason I want him in the starting 22 as he can play wing, inside mid, half back or half forward should the need arise. In hotly contested finals footy, the ball use of Melksham could be a real asset, but his poor defensive work rate could be an absolute disaster too. It's a tough call. I wouldn't be against him playing a negating role on Caleb Daniels should we meet them in the finals. But unless he has a specific role, carrying him and Fritta is going put a lot of pressure on ANB and Spargo to defend up forward. Sparrow, Jones, Vanders and Weideman will be on standby for injuries or suspensions, but I don't think any of them will make the cut except for as medi subs. I would be happy to have Jones as a medi sub should we make the grand final if he is in good form and fully fit, but we can have that conversation when and if we even get there.
  12. Fritsch is a poor wet weather footballer. It’s hard enough to be a tall marking forward in the wet but when you’re a medium marking forward it’s even harder.
  13. We have to finish above Geelong so they don’t cry for a home final down there. We just have to.
  14. Already worded up my GP friend to write me a script for some anxiety meds in preparation.
  15. Oh he’s not fat. No footballer is! He just looks really heavy and unfit.
  16. I hope he doesn't follow his idol's fitness routine. Boy does Nic Nat need to drop a few kilos.
  17. Also because we haven't won a minor premiership since 1964 and it would be a really nice thing for the fans. We have beaten every in the top 14 at least once. Who else has a better record than that going into finals?
  18. Since coaches aren't as dumb or bias as umpires, I assume they will give Jackson votes and also ANB. Goody certainly will. I wonder if Bont gets votes this week. He was very ordinary except when it came to winning golden frees.
  19. Another umpiring debacle. The salty West Coast fans crying that a 50 wasn't paid against Petty are hilarious.
  20. Can also assume it was definitely the ankle and not the dreaded foot considering they tried taping it, right?
  21. 106,000 of the dumbest mother [censored] in WA. Just cry and carry one like a pack of drunk hyenas. I don’t know a single person outside of their supporters who doesn’t despise them. A club of drug sniffing, self entitled, arrogant dumbarses.
  22. Found fitness and oh look he’s the same great player he’s always been. People calling his trade a disaster or saying he isn’t in our best team…. lol He is a gun forward. His marking is insanely good. His goal kicking is reliable (mostly) and he makes us a lot better. Also like that he’s getting involved at ground level a lot more.
  23. Jones is super slow now. That is why he is struggling to get a game. Vanders is a good wet weather sub, but he is also not great. Makes dumb decisions, gives away costly frees... a good finals sub to bring on for the purpose of opposition destruction (grand final, final quarter, Vanders comes on and takes out Bont. Beautiful), but otherwise a non starter for mine.
  24. Has had such a terrible injury run and finally cemented an important spot in the side. Would be gutted for him if he missed. His speed will be impossible to replace. Hopefully just a badly rolled ankle. He got it taped and tried to run it out, so hopefully it isn't quite so bad. He was also wearing normal runners post game, which means no real swelling? Clutching at straws. I ain't no doctor.
  25. Also goes to show that players don't really hit their peak until around game 100. He has been in and out of the side with poor form and inconsistency, but is just now settling into a role. Sometimes it just takes that long. Not everyone is Oliver or Jackson.
