  1. Any updates on Clarry, Chin and May would be great
  2. This is what happens when your family tree is actually a wreath.
  3. The “off one foot” specialist
  4. I would say that in order to get the tick of approval to wear the hand guard, he would need scans to show the AFL he needs it. And of course they would need to check that playing with the injury is not going to cause further or permanent damage, and it’s just about pain management. We absolutely need him against Brisbane, so I would make that game a priority and give him a rest against Adelaide if it’s a case of one or the other.
  5. Clarry is a generational talent. If Windsor achieves half as much as Clarry has at the same age, he will have a sensational career. Like with Gawn and Trac, we take Clarry’s talents for granted. There is no better hands in footy right now than Oliver.
  6. Doesn’t help that Essendon had sucked for like 20 years
  7. Bloody great result for us and for Yze
  8. Played his grand final in round 0
  9. Don’t worry about Kelly who is a WA boy. Go hard for Reid 😂
  10. Pre 2021, we didn’t underachieve, we just sucked or were in a rebuild. We never finished inside the top 4, and we did extremely well in 2018 to make a prelim from 6th (?) and lose to the eventual premiers at home. You can definitely argue that we’ve underperformed since 2021, finishing top 4 and not winning a final. Now imagine that but for like 10 years 😂
  11. Meantime you can punch a player in the guts for the same penalty, or better yet, end someone’s career with a thug act and get a premiership medal as a reward 🙄 The free was there, but [censored] the consistency of the MRO is a disgrace.
  12. And remind Petty that his preferred destination stinks
  13. If that was the requirement for a free, Gawn would get 100 of them a game. He gets deliberately smashed into at every contest.
  14. That was a ridiculous free. Nothing in it. Max lucked out then.
  15. The amount of times the dog ran away during that last quarter because we kept losing our mind… he is still mad at me today 😂
  16. Langdon was heavily and rightly tagged post 2021, so we had to switch and find different avenues of moving the ball. It’s good to see him more involved in the game this year, because as you say he’s super damaging, a good user, quick, and of course has elite endurance. He’s far better than Hunter, and totally different to Gus. Windsor is going to be a similar weapon in terms of pace and endurance, but that Windsor has shown that he can go hunt the ball and win contests in close, makes him even more unique. A wingman who can win the contested ball is a rarity. If he can play inside and outside then he is basically going to be impossible to stop.
  17. If he captains us to another flag it’ll be a no brainer that he’s the greatest ruckman the game has ever seen. And frankly to bring NicNat into the conversation is an insult to Gawn, Cox, Madden etc. NicNat had like 3 excellent seasons, was never fit enough to influence entire games, and had zero leadership skills. About as laughable as people saying English is better than Gawn. [censored] please. We are SO lucky to have Gawn. Not only a brilliant footballer but a brilliant leader.
  18. He said he is playing every game as if it’s his last. And it shows. Like Jesus on Easter, he’s resurrected himself from the grave!
  19. That’s the price you pay for playing a forward against a 6 time AA ruckman. Gawn worked him under the ball and made him infringe. Gawn > any other ruckman in the AFL currently, and arguably since Cox.
  20. Also missing SPP and JHF. I guess they’ve chronically underachieved, so they’re rightly on edge.
  21. Exactly right. You have to be facing the ball in a ruck throw in. If you’re facing your opponent in a wrestle you get pinged. Exactly the same way a defender gets pinged for holding if he’s facing his opponent and not the ball (which both teams got pinged for last night). It’s why they always say “eyes on the ball”. Finlayson (I think?) turned his body and was holding Gawn around the waist in that contest. You can’t do that.
  22. And Dixon kicked a goal after the siren and clearly ran off his mark, which is technically not allowed. We had a good run from the umpires, but we won because we took our chances and kicked some incredible goals. Port fluffed their chances inside 50, which they had plenty more of than us. It’s nice when the shoe is on the other foot.
  23. I’m sure he will. It’s no wonder that Ed is having his best start to a season since 2021 IMO. Because without an experienced second winger in Gus or Hunter, we are using his wing far more frequently. The more we start to trust Windsor the more he will get the ball in his hands. At the moment he’s almost hunting his own ball which is an impressive trait to have as a wingman.
  24. My favourite way to watch the replay is to watch Ben Brown’s reaction to every goal we kick. He’s set up his own one man cheer squad in the goal square. Hilarious.
  25. The best thing about Windsor is that he’s already shown that he doesn’t need much of the ball to be incredibly damaging. He had 12 touches yesterday for 4 score involvements and a goal. That is elite. Of course the more he gets his hands on the footy the more damaging he will be, but he doesn’t need to be a big accumulator to be incredibly influential, which is why you can tell he’s headed for stardom.
