  1. MFCSS has reached an 11 out of 10
  2. Trying to frantically get everyone fed, showered and [censored] off is a marathon on a Thursday night post work and pre football. I absolutely loath Thursday night football. Such an unfriendly fixture for anyone under the age of 70.
  3. This is not going to be a walk over. The only certain win right now is West Coast. We have to come out and start well to take the crowd out of the equation.
  4. Was this done via public complaining? No We asked for it privately for 20 years and my understanding is that we finally got it, but were screwed in other ways such as being one of the unlucky ones to play an SA team in gather round, and travel to Perth twice. Have a look at Carlton’s fixture and tell me the AFL isn’t frothing at giving them a flag this year.
  5. Well there was absolutely no need to give us a 5 day break. We did not need to play Port on Saturday night or open Gather Round on the following Thursday. It's just the AFL screwing the clubs they don't care about. Given the idiotic round 0 fixture as well, it would have been very easy to give us a proper break in between games this early in the season, not to mention skip the back to back interstate games. The AFL does whatever it wants. Always has.
  6. They have clearly never seen Williamson umpire a Melbourne game. He hates us.
  7. Who is as likely to jump ship back to Victoria as any number 1 pick in the history of the draft IMO. If West Coast deserve a priority pick, don't the Hawks? Hell give Essendon one, they haven't won a final in 20 years.
  8. This is going to be a much harder game than most people think. Adelaide are not a bad team, and they are under the pump. With May sore, Viney possibly sick, Clarry with a bung hand and Trac and Chandler also sore, I think it will be a tight contest.
  9. They have known and planned for this 5 day break. I trust that they have a carefully executed plan heading into a bye soon.
  10. Get absolutely [censored] They won a flag in 2018 and are the richest club in the AFL
  11. Oscar Allen goes alright, although is currently injured. A player you can build a spine around.
  12. Expecting Walker to test May’s ribs out tomorrow night if he plays
  13. Flu? Covid? Gastro? Hope he's ok!
  14. And how Oliver can play with a finger dislocation is also interesting. I think when you’re Oliver or May or Trac you are deemed fit to play even when you’re underdone because even if you’re in pain and not going at 100%, you are still better than most alternatives. I would say that only if an injury can get worse by pushing through pain, that these key players are basically just playing through adversity and a lot of pain killers each week. Also some players clearly have a higher tolerance than others. May played with a 6cm hamstring tear in a grand final. As if a few broken ribs would keep him out.
  15. Wow Turner has made a very quick recovery. I thought he had a leg injury not a hip injury? Either way, it's good news if he's only one week away as he covers the loss of Hore. I am sure he will have to spend some time with Casey, but it's good news anyway. Also is McAdams just permanently stuck on 2-4 weeks? Are they generating a new hamstring for him in a lab or what?
  16. Steven May also makes mistakes and I would fight anyone who says he isn't the best defender in the game. Juddy is an absolute star in the making. Holding down the best small forwards in the game in his first season just proved that, and his ability to hit the contest at pace and not only defend but also attack, makes him super valuable. Speaking of which, Howes has just quietly slotted into the best backline in the AFL and not put a foot wrong. Certainly exceeded my expectations of him!
  17. Make your bed and all that…
  18. I expected Hawks will lose by 80, so this is a surprising result
  19. Nothing quite like #ladderwatch in round 3
  20. Someone should tell Hawthorn half time is finished
  21. Those complaining about Kosi going for marks, need to understand that Kosi is an instinctive player. If you try to rob him of the freedom to be the unique player he is, you will ruin him. He is so special and does things very few are capable of. It’s what makes him so good. He should be given license to go for goals and marks he believes are realistic, so long as he’s not burning teammates in the process. He does more than enough at ground level to fly for a few marks here and there.
  22. Interesting comments from Goodwin in today’s presser “He’s loving his time at Melbourne and that’s where he’ll be”
