  1. Good. As he should. He was [censored] asleep. He totally lost his opponent there. Inexcusable. If Omac did that people would be calling for blood.
  2. Yeah along with about 100 other things that happen every week under Goodwin
  3. Smith in the backline is a joke. Seriously. He has no idea.
  4. Melksham still getting a game is a joke. Who has this much time to get back into form? And they just move him around the field to stink it up. Harmes has been rotting at half back and they dropped him. Melksham does nothing for 15 weeks so gets a prime midfield spot to ball watch and enjoy one handed tackles.
  5. Surely they can bring Brad Green on a casual basis down to the club to teach our forward to kick goals. He was the best goal kicker I’ve seen in my life. Natural, relaxed, could nail them from everywhere. We need some of that.
  6. If we weren’t so bad with ball in hand or with ball in front of goal, we would be 60 points up. Fritsch is the main offender.
  7. Essendon are [censored] rubbish and we are making them look bloody brilliant with our pathetic use of the football, our soft tackling (AVB aside) and a non existent game plan. Nothing is more predictable than Melbourne chocking. Nothing.
  8. How many years will we keep wasting forward opportunities with [censored] kicking and ball use? I what this season to be done. I’m over watching the same [censored] every week.
  9. Jesus Christ Smith is a shocking player and to gamble with him when finals are on the line is so [censored] Goodwin
  10. QLD are on drugs. Their premier is an absolute [censored] and as soon as she wins her election those borders will open up quicker than the speed of light. QLD cannot afford the hit to tourism in summer. Anna is all about the money. It’s why AFL players and Hollywood stars get a free pass.
  11. This happened to me too. I never had auto renew set up, but last year it changed and they just deducted the money. That was fine, last year, when the economy wasn't in the toilet and finances were not this tight. But then, anyone who gets direct debited must have, at some point, signed up for it, because otherwise how would the club have your bank or card details to direct debit from? Any company that direct debits need an authorisation form signed. Maybe when I renewed I ticked something and now it's auto debited?
  12. I also got 2 emails, as did my Dad, and we are both on the same level of membership. I can't remember what I paid last year, but I am trusting the club that the prices have not changed, and that my price includes a GF guarantee. I agree with many of you that given the hundreds of dollars each of us spend on a membership that gave us virtually nothing this season, some sort of discount, gift, token of appreciation for our ongoing support would have been nice. I pay for reserved seating at the G, which was a total waste of money this season, so even having that price taken off the membership for 2021 would have been nice. Totally understand that the club is struggling, but so many of us have lost jobs, or seen massive declines in our businesses, or are on jobkeeper, and to fork upwards of $500 for a footy membership is not a necessary expense for people doing it very tough. I will be renewing, as I have for the past 21 years, but gees it is going to be tough justifying the spend.
  13. I prefer he transitions into an off field role, but with the squeeze on footy department spending that appears unlikely. I would leave the call up to him, if list sizes remain the same. If list sizes are going to be cut, then sadly I think he needs to retire.
  14. There are bound to be clubs interested in him, who can back themselves to get him right physically and mentally. He is a 28 year old key position player, who can play both forward and back. He is in bad form, and his body seems shot, but honestly there will always be takers for his type. Not sure what we would get back, but if both parties want out, I am sure it can be done. If Tom played for another club, we would be saying "lets look at McDonald to help Weideman".
  15. It is Woosha's last game as coach too... Essendon may be up and about for him.
  16. Yeah maybe we will only lose by 40 points this time and then get a chance to review the tapes!
  17. She should chat to Tom Hanks about it, see what he thinks. Seems to have a lot of pull over in QLD he does. Apparently if you bring money into the state you are exempt from border rules. But if you're dying or someone you know is dying, please take a ticket at the deli counter and wait for us to get back to you with a request for your bank records.
  18. I'm a big Hunt fan, but sadly he just doesn't get involved enough. He doesn't win enough of the footy, and when he does get it, he isn't damaging enough to command a spot in the 22. You can have role players getting 10 disposals a game if they bring a unique attribute to the team. For Hunt it was his speed, but sadly he just doesn't get it enough to justify a position in the side, especially when we have Langdon now. I think we should try and trade him. He is good enough to play AFL but he might need a fresh start and a new position to get him going.
  19. Nothing will be more 2020 than missing finals by 0.01% Can this season and year just be done already?
  20. Pickett has a mountain of work to do to become a complete player, but so do most 1st year players. Rarely do they come perfectly packaged and ready to go. Goal kicking and involvement are two massive aspects of his game that he needs to work on. Goal kicking can be a simple fix. Involvement could be about playing more high half forward minutes, which he has done the last two weeks and looked much better in doing so. I don't think Pickett solves our small forward crumbing issues, but he certainly has a role to play going forward.
