  1. Had dinner at George Koulambaris' new restaurant- St. Katherines tonight. Would highly recommend. I may have sweet talked my way to some free desserts from him too B)
  2. Worst.Day.Ever. Wine shall be my salvation tonight!
  3. I hear you. This season is so dead to me. I'm going to go to the games (not going to Geelong this week), but the interest and motivation is non existent. Also I can't eat bananas so I'm a cheap date
  4. Qualify for what? The Australian Netball Team? I've lost track of the multiple conversations going on here. Should go back to doing some work now.
  5. You think I get Youtube access at work? Come on now. I barely get Demonland access They decided to block internet shopping sites too, until they realised we work at a fashion company and they were facing an employee strike. Good times.
  6. In other good news, our only remaining working photocopier is broken. How is it that we can fly people to the moon, but nobody has invented a photocopier that doesn't get paper jammed. Seriously. Fridays are a [censored].
  7. I just had a terrible coffee and it cost me $4.30. Also, this thread is by far the most interesting thing I've read today.
  8. Such great news!
  9. I actually love tennis, so I'm happy about that. I'll probably end up going back into the office or working from home in a couple of weeks, but certainly if the pain is keeping me up at night I'll do some reviews while high on drugs. Should make for some entertaining reading
  10. Yeah I'm feeling very very sorry for myself, don't you worry about that. This is by far the worst pain I have ever experienced, and I've had some pretty nasty broken bones before. On the other hand I have lots and lots of old Melbourne games, which I'll watch from the discomfort of my bed. I wonder if morphine makes our players look better or worse...
  11. I was meant to go to Thailand today, and stupidly fell on my knee last night (it was just a silly trip, nothing unusual) and broke the knee cap in half. 2 weeks of complete bed rest, plus another 4 weeks in the brace. Hoping it heals well or else I may need to get some pins or something inserted. Needless to say my beach-side cocktails have been replaced by bed-side morphine. F'ing awesome! Thankfully I have great friends who will come keep me company and my dad is on holidays so he's my nurse on call.
  12. While I'm no fan of cricket, I am going to be bed bound for the next 2-6 weeks with a broken knee cap, so thank goodness for cricket!!!
  13. They noted that Fitzpatrick is more of a forward than a ruckman, but when you look at the state of our rucks at the moment, we're about 5 short.
  14. Excellent news Two Sheds! Your story just devastated me and it's great to hear that you have some very positive news to share. As I think I said to you before, doctors don't know everything and they are often wrong. You keep fighting and stay positive and you definitely can beat this. Cancer is still largely an unknown disease, particularly rare cancers, so please make those medical books as one of those success cases that every other poor bastard with the same type of cancer can look to. Best of luck!
  15. How ridiculous! Does anyone compare Reiwoldt to Brown? Fevola to Brown? Franklin to Brown? Anyone who compares Jack Watts to Jonathan Brown is a moron, and deserves a punch to the head by Jonathan Brown
  16. Quoted for truth and accuracy. These Watts discussions are becoming more and more ridiculous. He'll be a star, so let's move on and give him the time that he needs and deserves to develop.
  17. Runs like Davey, takes speccies like Robbo and lays hip and shoulders like Whelan! :D
  18. "A skilful, high possession winning midfield forward who is strong overhead for his size. Was a WA U18 representative in 2008. From Carey Park JFC." Cousin of Essendon's Jetta. HEIGHT 179.6 WEIGHT 76.6
  19. I really like that McLean is hanging out with the older players. In fact, he could even teach them a thing or two <_<
  20. Never been snubbed by any Melbourne players. In fact, I've seen most of them out and about and from my encounters, they've behaved really well. This is in stark contrast to quite a few footballers from different teams who I used to see regularly at my old job. I agree with above sentiments regarding Robbo as well. He's a great ambassador for our club, and the nicest footballer you ever hope to meet.
  21. Geelong people.... they blame it on the water.... what can you do?! I can think of 100 players I'd have ahead of Baker. And Judd is clearly the #1 player in the AFL.
  22. It has to be Judd. I'm pretty sure that he is a robot planted on this earth to bring peace and good football skills to all. If anyone could pick up 30 possessions while simultaneously saving the world from Terrorism, it has to be him
  23. Don't get me wrong, your ENTER is important if you know straight away what you want to do. But I got into a course with limited places, decided I hated it and dropped out. One year later, and I may not get into a nursing course, although my ENTER was almost 30 points higher than the required ENTER for year 12 students. You should always strive to achieve your best, but don't beat yourself up too much if you don't finish with 99.95. Even if you don't get into the course you want, there are always ways to work around it. Just enjoy year 12, because you will miss school when it's finished.
  24. I'm 19, having finished my VCE exams last year (don't listen to what they tell you, my high ENTER score means nothing these days). I decided to take a year off, and now I work in child-care and nanny on the side. I'm going to study nursing next year, well if I get in that is. Apart from my work and footy, my other real passions in life are shopping, reading and music. But I will happily give up all my shoes, books and my iPod if it means seeing a Melbourne premiership.
