  1. Whately asking good questions, straight to the point. Roffey trying to play a straight bat and has said 'I've not talked to him about that so can't comment' a few times now.
  2. Apart from Howe I can't really think of any I don't have a soft spot for.
  3. So happy for him, he deserves it. Makes me a little sad to remember just how freaking good he was as a 19-year-old in the red and blue. But really glad he's fulfilling all of that potential.
  4. He was a quality player at one point, these days not so much. Reminds me too much of Tim Lamb's work with Billings and Hunter.
  5. Dodson or Whitlock if we end up with 25 for Nibbler and they're still available (assuming we're using two picks before that for midfielders)?
  6. Back to the doldrums we march
  7. He showed some excellent form in the red and blue, especially before he did his knee in 2021. Could easily have been Tommo winning a premiership alongside Lever and May. Deserves more game time, thanks for everything Tommo!
  8. Would take Burgess back in a heartbeat.
  9. Trade him to North for Larkey and pick 2.
  10. Trauma can have an astounding effect on people in so many different ways.
  11. The sight of B Maynard in red and blue would make me physically ill
  12. Perhaps The Curse continues until we finally win one at the G, in front of our home crowd.
  13. Just a flat out no to McKay.
  14. GWS would be my preferred but I think it's going to be the Doggies. They've hit form at the perfect time again - though the Hawks is going to be a tough game for them.
  15. Time and time again players that did dash with the ball had no clear or open options, either in front of them or around them. On the other hand the Pies ran hard and found space all over.
  16. Not entirely sure why but I can see Laurie coming along next year. One of those players that it may well just 'click' for.
  17. I'm sure I've seen him do it but it's obviously not a common occurrence. He's a tough leader in the way he goes about his footy and he leads by example in that respect... which is excellent. I've also seen Viney and Oliver (and to a lesser extent Sparrow) look out for Maxy in stoppages, but it seems to only be the case when we're playing well and everyone's up and about.
  18. This club has no taste for vengeance
  19. Sad way to end a terrible year. I was really hoping to finish on the up with a win over the Pies (especially after we looked good last week) but not to be. It's unbearable losing to them, especially in such pathetic fashion.
  20. He's got a point though - with Viney it's either he plays an absolute ripper or he gets 10 touches. There's not really any kind of middle ground.
  21. I've been as critical of Petty as anyone this year but he has clearly improved in the latter part of the season. I don't think it would do Jeffo any good playing in this side tonight.
  22. What a sad, embarrassing way to end the season. Barely fired a shot. I'll probably cop flack for this but I think we should seriously entertain the idea of trading Fritsch.
  23. Now I'm stressing that this is what he's going to say. Surely not. Though of course health should always come first.
