Thanks for the report Lucifer. How often in past pre-seasons have we seen the above which has transposed into the real season. God help us if it does AGAIN. Time will tell.

Does it really matter what the training reports say old dee as we are always training well and players are in the best shape of their careers and yet we still manage to stuff up our season year after year. To me pre season training reports are just fluff pieces and to be taken with a tonne of salt I am sick of hearing about how great our pre seasons are and I am more interested to see how we play this season and to see if it will turn into another [censored] show.

Massive pressure on the goody and the dees next season. Imagine if we lose to Freo at the G in Rd1 next season. It would be the beginning of the end for goody imo. My hope for us to do well next season is the lowest it has been in a number of seasons. I really have bugger all faith in Goodwin.

No suprise there. Im just suprised that it didnt happen earlier.

I’m not a Goodwin fan and don’t think he is the right guy based on the last 4 yrs as head coach. My take is that it’s good insurance to have Williams on board if Goodwin doesn’t perform again next season then I would be happy to see him in the top job if the opportunity arises.

Thanks Grr Not suprised Goody said no and look how thats turned out. How things have changed. It would be interesting to know if Pert and co have laid down the law so to speak to Goody and have said you need Chocco on board whether you want it or not or if Goody has realised he may need assistance because this is his last chance and what he has done previously has not worked properly. Time will tell.

Given how bad our player development has been this is a great appointment imo.

No mate but Williams is a premiership winning coach and a good track record m developing players. Cant beat that. I like Yze but I really am not in favour of another rookie coach.

TMac looks in good nic. Hopefully his injuries are behind him and he has a good season.

Imo he is the coach who is under the most pressure next season. Need to make top 8 and not just scrape in and win a final or 2 at a minimum. Personally I think we will waste another season next year and end up with a new coach again.

Well it seems we are getting all good people around Goodwin to support him. Now it’s up to Goodwin to step up and perform. NO MORE EXCUSES.

Omac should never have been let go he was our next gun full back in the making.

I can’t be 100% sure but I think I have heard this before. The season that we walk the talk and do it consistently will be a great time but until then it’s more of the same dribble.

Will be interesting to see how we go with the changes to the rules as Goodwin didnt exactly cover himself in glory when the 666 rule came in. Hope Yze can have a valuable input. Time will tell.

If TMac is good to go then I think BB could also help him be a better forward. His goal kicking is pretty accurate which has not been that common in our forward line of late.

Why do they have to change the rules nearly every season. What ever they do the coaches try and counteract it anyway and then other issues come up. Just leave it alone ffs.

And if we can perform consistently as a team for once in many many seasons that will help to. I cant remember a more important or critical season for our club.
