  1. thank god for that. I was GENUINELY depressed i yelled at children at work....
  2. Confucius say: Chinese sponsor take too F&%#ing long
  3. Yeah agreed, he might be a dud, but you kind of missed my point if one out of our basket of young hopefuls can step up into the selwood-bartel stratosphere i.e blease, gysberts, tynan, tapscott. then you surround them with strong bodied skilled midfielders, then there is no need for a star like Judd or Ablett. also just on Viney, you mentioned you havent seen him play; he's definitely built in the same ilk as Valenti, as in short and grunty, but his skills, reading of the play and use of the ball is phenomenal. which is why he has been rated by Quayle as one of the top 5 picks
  4. When you look at Geelongs 2011 premiership side, their midfield has some phenomenal players, Barlet, Selwood, but also alot of just big bodied hard nuts in Ling, Chapman, etc I would prefer to have a midfield like that, say we have a Trengove-Viney as the brownlow vote getters surrounded by hard, strong, skilled mids around them in Mckenzie, Gysberts, Bail, Nicholson etc etc etc etc etc etc etc also, rewatched the Gold Coast game on the ol' IQ- Tynan is a natural and i back him to be one of our guns very soon
  5. http://www.gwsgiants.com.au/theres-a-big-big-sound-from-the-west-of-the-town.html AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  6. onya olisik, get a bit of the howes goin
  7. You all have no idea about who will lead the club. I think i have a pretty thorough understanding of our entire list in and out, and here's how i think the group will look. Skip: Jackson Trengove Vice Skips: Jacquie Grimes-Braden Green Other Ones: Brenton Moloney-Mike Jamar-Gerald Frawley
  8. I'm sorry you find this complex issue difficult to understand Billy, But let me try and clarify it for you "revealing the trip could have played a part in luring a major sponsor", for that line to be published it must first be approved by Cameron Scwab. Next time you publish a small manifesto, make sure you fundamentally understand the opposing argument. All the best
  9. In the Press if a Group or Person is Cited followed by an argument or standing, it is compulsory that the party Cited has gone on record. For example billy, if the age Cites "Cameron Scwab" followed by "Cameron Schwab has brushed aside suggestions of lingering regrets over the Demons' 16-day visit to China last year, revealing the trip could have played a part in luring a major sponsor." It must be approved by affore mention Group or Person (Cameron Schwab) before being published. Secondly, irregardless of whether you think MFC have alluded to this or not. It has well and truly been alluded to.
  10. pretty clearly stated in this Age Article Billy http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/chinese-whispers-may-land-demons-sponsor-20111207-1oj6c.html Don't get me wrong though, Scwhab is without doubt a class act CEO, just think we talk too much.
  11. I'm really supportive of everyone involved at the club. For the first time in ages there is vision, talent and passion working towards something. My only little criticism is that there has been a fair amount of talk before any action. For example; talking at length about altitude training in China when it is just a prospective possibility. If it doesnt go through, it makes the club look bad. When they talk about getting a Asian Sponsor then do not announce one for a lengthy period. Sounds sometimes like the kid in the playground who talks but never follows through.
  12. What a brilliant post! This had me laughing at a screen, great job super!
  13. i had my thoughts on leadership challenged quite a bit when the Irish toured out here at the end of last year. When they first arrived and began to do all the Pressers every Australian was bemused that the Irish Captain, Stephen Cluxton, refused to do any media work. I remember thinking how peculiar and unbecoming that was for a leader of any organization. As soon as i saw him playing, everything was thrown out the window. i take into account the irrelevance of International Rules, but he still sticks in my head as one of the most out and out leaders i have seen play sport. Lets not put too much emphasis on media performance
  14. Flash was unfortunately a victim of being a great forward in a side with no midfield depth. Bailey bulked him up and moved him into the middle. Because flash is a natural born talent he adapted and had some great seasons in the middle, even winning the Bluey. As of late he's begun to fatigue in the middle and lose his way, this however, does not mean he is not as skilled, talented and deserving of a spot in the side. I'm really excited to see him move home to his natural position and send Journo's and supporters alike into a frenzy over the re-birth of the Davey-Train
  15. about 100 pages through the The Red Fox currently, for a book filled with statistics and names from 80 years ago, its incredibly compelling.
  16. You took a real situation, then chose to emit certain words to create interest. Thats what you did
  17. What a brilliant report, in all seriousness. one of the best i've read, well done
  18. i went with swallow last year and charlie dixon from GCS who both werent all that flash. GWS honestly wont have much of the ball
  19. Never mentioned his race Bob. Ever. Nor did it ever come into MY argument. My argument was based on a third year player who impressed for 2 and a half years, but when the club he was playing for fell into disrepute, began to lack form. During his brief lull, did the harsh criticism begin. "labelled lazy, under-performing, slow, no second effort" as seen above on numerous occasions." criticisms which i believe were extremely unfair in a team that as a whole were under performing. It suggests to me that people want him to under perform, as some are so quick to write him off. clear Bob?
