Don't know whether Mal Turner reads this Website but I will call him and let him know, don't know why I didn't call him couple of days ago !

Remember ripping up phone books for hours, with John H, Stan O, Don R, and Gordon T great times, then after kicking the footy on the G taking down the banners etc, a snack in the restaurant in Swanston St, then later going to the Phoenix and meeting the other club members. We were all good mates from all clubs. A long time ago Train trips to Geelong the night before games, snow trips, intra cheer squad footy games, playing cards all night can't remember it all

On the early Cheers Squads Late 60s early 70 John Hartman who lead the squad for some time passed away about 6 weeks ago, never did see a funeral notice or a reason for his death RIP John

Your probably correct, Old Dee, nothing much changed We were tolerated at the Demon Dances in the MCC rooms years ago, Its just different people doing the tolerating now and I am 40 years older !! Go Dees

For all those that thought Ridley was doing good that night there are more with the complete opposite view, It was run as a boys club for those in power, the rest of us were just a side show, He was a great coach (I thought) but he went over to the dark side !

16 years on this matter still raises passion, It should never have been a proposition. Hawthorn are a proud club, so are we, it would have diluted both camps. Not Melbourne not Hawthorn, A new club but not the one I followed since 1955.. Bloody glad Hawthorn voted against, I was devastated that we voted to merge,...still pisses me off !

I had high hopes for 2011 only to get very dissappointed like every else Now I feel as confident as 12 months ago, it DOES feel better, time will tell go Dees Give 'em HELL !!!
