  1. Bloody awesome! Boys bring their A-game and we're in for a good night...
  2. I'd hope that the club internally have a transparent way of discussing salary with all the players that has integrity and demonstrates how they'll build and hold a team capable of winning flags while also compensating them well for their talents and contributions. The ad-hoc grab-bag media approach is just for headlines (as you say).
  3. We shouldn't lose him, good clubs don't lose good players. The loss of mature talented players has to stop or we shall never rise. Consoling ourselves with "another kid with promise" is horse-[censored]... makes us perennial losers.
  4. Genius recruiting his brother, who also looks like a capable kid.
  5. Lower clubs have better picks, which is what GWS will want in return for their guns...
  6. Its interesting to compare with the mid list we're building - Jones - Viney - Tyson - Salem - Brayshaw - Petracca - Trengove - Vince - VandenBerg - Newton - ??
  7. TDI - from training, any hints on who will come in for Frost?
  8. Did anyone see in the AGE their rapturous article about Rance? Listed a bunch of back line stats to show he was tracking well in many of them, but I noticed that TMac was ahead of him in at least 4 of the 6 stat categories they showed... Alex Rance can lay claim to being the best key defender in the AFL
  9. Reckon Jack will be pumped to play the Tigers on Friday night... focus is right on him.
  10. Was contemplating end of year trades, the return of Trenners and Petracca, another year of Roo's coaching and draft/trading... ... and wondered who thinks we can crack the finals next season, Roos last as our coach? and why / why not?
  11. Jack seems destined to carry the hopes and frustrations of the MFC fan base. If he played a ripper on friday, cutting the Tigers and being in our best in a win, but then fluffed an easy mark in a loss the following week... the same keyboard heros would be singling him out as the reason for all our woes.
  12. I have faith in Roos (and co) to turn Jack into a valuable and valued member of our team.
  13. Dazzle, If you read my post I quoted and bolded another post which I was directly responding to. I left out Hogan because he wasn't in the post I was responding to. Hogan is/will be a far better contested mark that Watts. Watts would be dropped if we had a better squad and a better player could be brought in, but we don't. Kudos for Roos for not cutting off his nose to spite his face, he's a wise coach. If Jack hadn't dropped those two simple uncontested marks we'd not be having this rant and rave.
  14. Do you realise I was responding directly to the post I quoted (and bolded).
  15. The amount of total Cr4p pedalled about Jack Watts, to succurs some teen crush gone wrong gives me the tom-[censored]. Stats from the three games... Vs Jacks Watts - 16 marks - 1 contested - 4 inside 50 Brayshaw - 7 marks - 1 contested - 1 inside 50 Vanden Berg - 8 marks - 2 contested - 2 inside 50 So it would be accurate to say "Jack Watts has had more marks and more marks inside 50 than both Brayshaw and VandenBerg COMBINED in the three matches this year." Buts lets not let reality get in the way of your tedious witch hunt.
  16. Its not a matter of "Roos not having the balls to drop them"... it's an issue of us not having better players to replace them with in the structure Roos is building. Our talls in Casey are ALL worse players than Watts and DAwes and have been demonstrably so for years.
  17. Great Pic. The media should put that photo up, just to show that this is just a game (not war) played my men mature enough to know not to take it too serious.
  18. Rudimentary streaming tech could fail if too many using it ...
  19. Danger Stats Rd 1 - 93 AFL Fantasy points* and 2 goals Rd 2 - 114 AFL Fantasy points* and 2 goals Rd 3 - 71 AFL Fantasy points* and 0 goals Big TICK Bernie! Job well done! *no idea what an AFL Fantasy Point is but figured it means something.
  20. With Frost injured, looking for Pedo, Max or Betty to make a statement today.
  21. Interestingly he's equal 18th for Marks, and equal 17th for marks inside 50M - highlights his lack of experience in finding space on lead near goals (and perhaps on the quality of the ball coming in... Early days but good signs, when his experience and confidence grows, he should be a gem.
  22. The Tmac one I thought was for bouncing it as he was being "tackled"...
  23. Hopefully a player will put their hand up by having an awesome game for Casey tomorrow. Be nice to see a meritocracy restored at the MFC...
  24. Totally agree. Dons win by 21 against a Blues unit that raised th white flag this week and the headline is "Dons Scape past Blues". And we fight out an honourable 25 pt loss to a rampant Crows and the headline is "Crows wipe Dees in wet" Fuc#ers
