Closing Dawes.

But of course she's on her 6th spouse...... so far.
-
Sorry mate but that's just plain bs. And the rest is filled with delicious irony.
-
Saty I take it you are ok with baiting that includes calling a female poster fat ("Are you one meter wide?"), lazy, disorganised and slow? The 'Get To Etihad' thread includes all of these gems. Baiting = trolling.

The only pressure Frost applied is to the backs of opponents when he clumsily fell on them stumbling to the contest
-
Apologies if this has been mentioned, but did Weid play? Was he injured or rested?

Ask Prof Dank for some of the good stuff od.

I will assume that wasn't aimed at me as I didn't pot him where you quoted me.

Players who always fire a shot against Melbourne
Moonshadow replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dunstall often kicked a big bag against us, though we were not alone there. Remember the merger match? Won the game for them and kicked his 100th for the year at the same time. -
1. Prestia 2. Hurley In that order. Midfield is still our priority. If we had more A grade mids in our team, guys like TMac would not have been under so much pressure. Hard to stop goals if the ball is coming into our defence "at a million miles an hour", as Roos said. The game is still won in the middle. Don't get me wrong, would like to see Hurley at MFC, but not above mids. I'd even go for two of Prestia, Heppell and/or Cogniglio (for example, or similar) over Hurley.

I've seen haymakers thrown that went further than that throw in. They would've been too embarrassed to bring it back after a goal. And that ump who paid the half volley mark to Roo should take up the free test offer by OPSM.

Any more news on Gus? Any injuries of note? Cheers.

As many have said, that's good for you if in fact you walked from the footbridge to your level 3 seat in 12 mins. The largely vocal majority, several hundred in my queue alone, were being delayed unnecessarily outside the stadium. You can't seem to grasp the fact that many were delayed and it was not of their doing. In the process you've taken numerous cheap shots, called posters fat, lazy, disorganised and slow (have I missed any?). Thankfully your manners are not in the DNA of most Dee's supporters. Had enough for the moment. Agree to disagree.

Absolutely spot on Maple. Touché. Pulling the old "it's not me, it's you" line is weak but not unexpected.

Nice touch. VISA now charges less than 1% processing fee. If the ticketing company charge 1.95% then that's a nice little skim for them. If you have worked in the industry, then the origin of your attitude is self evident. If you got to your seat on level 3 from the footbridge in 12 mins you must've been running. The rest of us on this thread had to wait for far to long. I have a membership and waited approx 30 mins to get a bar code scanned, and I was there with plenty of time (or what should have been) to spare. She has a membership! Read before posting.

Stop making [censored] up. Many queues were well over half an hour to get in with membership cards and/or pre purchased tickets. There's no excuse for poorly staffed gates and ticket booths. Some gates only had half the entry points open. Card processing fees are now less than 1%, yet ticketing companies charge far more. Took me and those around me about 30 mins to get out over footbridge to Spencer St after game. Crap venue, crap service.

Thanks for all the updates gents. Really bad luck for Gus. Had a rough year so far.

We get over the back and guys like Frost spray the ball into the AFL members wing from 15 out...

"We spoke after the game about changing the team a little.... Had we rested three players today would it have made any difference? Probably not, but you learn from every loss and every experience...." - Roos after game. Seems to me he's indicating otherwise. Obviously can be read many ways. Certainly he acknowledged playing Gus a few weeks ago was an error.
-
Wish I had $10 for every time Roos said they got it wrong at selection. That line is wearing increasingly thin.

Etihad is a poorly organised, poorly laid out stadium which does not make it easy for the punters. The footbridge is a bottleneck designed by an artistic architectural practice (Woods Marsh) with no previous experience in large pedestrian movement. I turned up at a reasonable time and left after the game with everyone else. It was very slow for such a low crowd number. Never experienced that problem at the G, the SCG, Gabba, etc. Not nitpicking, simply stating the obvious. If you like the stadium and like us playing there, good for you chap.

The interchange cap has led to greater fatigue and a drop in skill levels, particularly late in games. Someone with stats can answer this better than me, but I believe there are more weekly changes to teams this year than the last couple. It used to be a case of make no change after a win. Now, it seems that 3 or more changes per round is common. There will be injuries, but I wonder if more players are being rested to freshen them up. Player exhaustion and a short turn a round meant we needed to bring in fresh runners. ANB, Stetch, Matt Jones or Oliver would've been handy. Doesn't help that many of our talls had a down day either.
-
BS. There were long queues at undermanned gates where plenty of people already had tickets. The body scanning man where I went in just waved people passed because he couldn't keep up. If it was that hard to manage a relatively small crowd, heaven help them in the event of an emergency. It's clearly a slow and dangerous bottleneck regardless of anyone's size.

Hope you did a risk assessment before filing the boilers Earl. Seems like you did one re the game at Etihad and decided to abort. Lucky for you.
