  1. I'm about to head to the G for the Bluebaggers/Poos & Wees match. It's an interesting experience going to a match as a neutral. I suspect the highlight will be the afternoon tea. I know there will be sandwiches, party pies & liquified dust (which is supposed to be coffee). Not sure whether there will be scones ... hope so. I'm joining my MUCH OLDER friend in the 50 year section of the members. (I don't qualify personally as I am much, much younger than him.)
  2. I actually think about a number of clubs ... my anger and dislike of them occupies large amounts of my thinking time. Is that normal? Especially the filth ... and the following (in no particular order) - Jee-long, Richmond, Essendon (although less these days cos they're pretty hopeless), Footscray.
  3. Were fellow D/landers aware that Pendles was a basketballer?
  4. I think it's clear ... no Gary Rohan, no Jee-long.
  5. Hey, Selwood gave away a free kick (HTB). But who gave away the second free gifting the filth a second goal?
  6. The Jee-long clap/clap/clap chant has started. Is there anything more annoying?
  7. I hate the filth so much. And Jee-long (clap/clap/clap). So I'm in a dilemna ... who do I hate more?
  8. I hate both sides, but this is actually quite an entertaining match. The filth are surprisingly good. Glad they're missing so many shots for goal.
  9. The crowd is going beserk at Giant stadium. Carnage.
  10. Yeah .. God only knows how the season will play out. Makes it even more important than ever to get some early wins on the board.
  11. I think it's pretty obvious that the Club sees Weid as the future of the Club, whereas Mitch is of course a fair bit older. Perhaps Mitch would have been selected if the opponent was a top side? Hopefully Weid doesn't drop those sitters ... and when he gets the chance kicks straight.
  12. I was at that match .... And people ask why many Demons supporters have (or at least had) MFCSS !!!
  13. Jordan was the type of player who invariably played well against us when he was with Hawthorn. Having said that plenty of players did. He was however pretty much cooked when he came to MFC. His on ground form wasn't great when he played with the Dees. He was pretty slow, often went to ground and was undisciplined. So, was signing him worth it? I think so. It sent a message to the football world that a high profile player (albeit past it) was happy to come to the Club. And his background (4 flags) and football knowledge (learnings, hah) helped educate his teammates. Apparently he was pretty good directing traffic on the ground and emphasizing good training standards.
  14. So sorry for Kade. I was effectively forced to move due to safety concerns about my former neighbour, an ex rugby player. I am pretty sure he has CTE ... his temper would escalate within seconds. I didn't feel safe living there any more. (Long story.)
  15. Yeah, but apart from 2 RS nominations and a premiership medal what has the guy actually done?
  16. I was at that match with my thirdborn. It was in 2009. Bailey was 12 years old at that time.
  17. I really like Tom Stewart. Great player, and conducts himself really well. Should I feel ashamed?
  18. His marvellous punch when Guthrie kicked the ball out on the full in R23?
  19. I had the same experience. Without the helmet it would have been a fractured skull.
  20. World Cup qualifier ... Socceroos 0 - Japan 2. Inescapable fact that the Socceroos are not a particularly good football team.
  21. His doppelganger ... Philip Lowe ... head of the Reserve Bank.
  22. I watched the replay of the R1 match. Hunt played well. Tomlinson just so/so.
  23. Rivers, Lever & Hibbert all shown as "test". I"m sure the Club will be very conservative. I'm predicting either Rivers or Hibbo to return, but not both. And Lever .. no way.
