AFLW: Rd 2 vs Collingwood
I live a stone's throw from Victoria Park. Sadly I had another commitment that afternoon. Would love to have seen the Dees beat the filth.

Round 1 team 2019
Wow, there are some pretty good sides there.

Weids ready to grab opportunity with both hands
He reminds me of Hawkins (Geelong) although not as big (obviously) at this stage. He's more mobile though. Very high hopes. From all accounts a fine young man. (Gee, I sound like a codger... I guess there's a good reason for that!!!)

Tom Mitchell out for the season
Sorry for Mitchell. Hate Hawthorn. Hate Kennett. I was also present at 1987 Preliminary Final and 1988 GF. (Had we won 1987 Prelim, we would have been thumped the following week.) I also hate the filth, but that may not be relevant to this thread.

A-League
I support City, only because I hate Muscat. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/muscats-606-000-tackle-20040225-gdxdkp.html I hated them more when Berisha was playing for them.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Caine: Master, if I shall love others, how can I be sure that they in return will love me in return? Master Po: Do you seek love or barter? Caine: But, if I love others and they do not love me, I shall feel great pain. Master Po: That is what you risk, Grasshopper: great pain, or great joy. Perhaps of only marginal relevance to this thread?

Troy Broadbridge ... 26 December, 2004
Agree with previous posters. He played a blinder in his last match - a final v Essendon. I was also at the Troy Broadbridge match the next year. Yes, it was very emotional. Clearly a top bloke ... and would have gone on to be a top player. RIP.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The previous comments about the FD being 'happy' to let Hogan go are correct. Yes, inside information from top level at the Club.

IG Partnership Continues
I recently opened an online trading account with them. Mainly because of their association with MFC.

Meet Steven May
It would be OK if the word 'not' was also in there ...

Tim Smith v Cam Pedersen
Pedo was, and presumably is still, a top bloke. But his AFL days had come to an end. He will always be held in the highest regard by everyone associated with MFC.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOM SPARROW
This song was written by Bruce Woodley. He's a Demons supporter. I see him in the members sometimes, now in his mid 70s. Nice bloke.

Former Demon Cam Johnston has great NFL Debut
Rjay ... my bad. I meant Bjorn from Abba.

MFC Mens Home Guernsey Clearance $36 @ NB
Can you buy the caps at their stores? $10 is a good price, but postage of $10 kinda defeats the purpose.

Former Demon Cam Johnston has great NFL Debut
Perhaps it's not totally on point, but does anyone else think that Benny from Abba looks like a giant rat?

Best of 3 Grand Final
Sounds like one of Baldrick's cunning plans. Won't happen.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
My ex wife was as cheerful as Jesse. I suspect I'll miss them about the same.

What’s the go with Essendrug?
You are a good man Hemingway. I didn't know that Bruce had leukaemia. Sorry to hear that. Sorry to hear that anyone has such an illness. He seems a nice enough fellow, however his demented shrill comments ("Viney, Viney, Viney") and fawning over certain players - Poppy, Roughy, Sauce, Cyril ...etc) grate. I cannot listen to his commentary any more, and so I have to turn off the volume for matches he is commentating on. He has become a parody of his former self. But back to you. There will never be another Hemingway!

What’s the go with Essendrug?
According to that senile fool McAvaney, they're everyone's second favourite team ....
