  1. **hardest team to play against. Either way...we haven't lived up to that.
  2. I think we've just seen mark of the year. That's a positive, I guess.
  3. Unfortunately I'll be in Melbourne and on hand for the next three games. Uh oh.
  4. ..................................
  5. It would take a miracle for Phoenix to come back from here. What a great feeling it would be to be a Los Angeles fan right now...barely squeaking in to the playoffs and now on the verge of the Stanley Cup finals.
  6. I also feel as though we are in with a chance, but am still expecting a loss. Whatever happens, I'll just be happy to see Jurrah back out there.
  7. It sounds like someone from this forum wrote it...
  8. I think it looks great. The red also seems to be better than it was last season and at the start of this season.
  9. Also, LA is 10-1 so far in the playoffs. Talk about turning it on at the right time.
  10. Devils win 3-2, so it's now 1-1 in that series. Phoenix and LA are in action tonight (or this morning for you) in LA. Phoenix will be without Martin Hanzal after he was suspended for his hit in Game 2.
  11. I love the look of this team on paper, and if it were last year I'd put some good money on us to win this game. However with the different game plan, low confidence, and out of form players, I'd be happy to get within 30 points. I think Blease will be the sub...Jurrah needs to start the game and get the players energized. He can do things that lift the whole team, and if he can do some of those things early on in the game it will set a tone for the rest of the team to follow.
  12. Toronto's Brett Lawrie has been suspended for 4 games for losing it after 2 very questionable called strikes. He threw his helmet at the ground and it bounced up and hit the umpire. Did anyone else see the incident? What do you think?
  13. LA is on fire. If I were the winner of NYR and NJD I would be praying that Phoenix can at least stretch the series out a bit so that they don't get an extended amount of rest before the final. Gary Bettman would be absolutely thrilled with the likely prospect of a NYR LAK final... even more money in the pockets of an already VERY wealthy league
  14. I found last night's game quite boring, to be honest. I hope that a team from the West wins the Cup. Game 2 happens tonight in Phoenix as the Kings look to remain unbeaten on the road.
  15. I'm also confident that Jack will be the better Grimes brother, but I'm disappointed we passed on him when we had that chance. People who post about drafting players in hindsight really bother me (ie we should have taken Martin instead of Scully, NikNat instead of Watts, Darling instead of Cook, etc), but this is one drafting decision that has bothered me since the moment we didn't select him in the national draft.
  16. Hoping for the best for Liam. We're really missing him this season.
  17. Good to see Garland's not on there. It is quite frightening that we have almost our entire list to select from yet we're still wasting away at the bottom.
  18. I've heard it referred to as the Battle of the Hudson, but to be honest I haven't watched any games between NYR and NJ before. I'm very surprised NJ has made it this far, I thought that Brodeur was on his last legs and they wouldn't even make the playoffs. Good on them. Los Angeles are the surprise of the season; undefeated on the road in the playoffs...maybe it's more of a home ice disadvantage if you're playing the Kings!
  19. Because in the past, teams have been able to use F/S selections with very low picks to get players like Ablett and Cloke. We will not get the benefits of having him as essentially a 'bonus' player with a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round pick. I've got no doubt he'll be a gun, and by all accounts he is worth a high pick, but I'm frustrated that we won't be able to get him in addition to another highly rated prospect.
  20. Will wait until after the Casey match to say my INs, but the OUTs are: Petterd, Bennell, Sylvia, Fitzpatrick, Bate
  21. I don't have much idea about potential picks in this years draft, but unfortunately it looks like we'll be getting Viney with a VERY high pick rather than snatching him in the 2nd round. It's a shame because we could really use someone like Whitfield.
