  1. Need a goal Ooze.
  2. And kick accurately.
  3. Which will continue to be our undoing going forward just as it has in the past. Look at Collingwood last night. You just know they aint gonna miss. Us on the other hand ....... Good sides take their opportunities.
  4. Steven May .... Is that you?
  5. The pies are amazing by foot.
  6. See this .... 20 seconds into the 1st qtr after Langdons "Duck Dinner" comment. I don't care what anyone says. We should've come from everywhere. https://www.afl.com.au/video/813451/langdon-targeted-early-after-spicy-midweek-comments?videoId=813451&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1659693597001
  7. I suggest you read my post again, particularly the last line. You seem to be blinded by Maynard derangement syndrome. Yes I do find issue with what they've been allowed to get away with. But at some point the players need to stand up for themselves and their teammates. Pretty obvious the AFL aint gonna do it. And if you remember. Viney was the only player who remonstrated with Maynard after the bump ... Because he's Viney. He's also a little bloke. And the 1st time we met Collingwood the next year, after all the hoo ha about Maynard turning up at Brayshaws house yadda yadda, there was Petracca and May all smiles and cuddles with Maynard after the game. And no-one backed Lingers up when he got mugged after that weeks build up. That disgusts me.
  8. I don't hold anything against Maynard for the Brayshaw bump in the final. That too was a football accident IMO. It was a final with no beg pardons. I wouldn't want our players pulling out of contact like that. What I do hate is that we allowed him/them to rough up Lingers. I'm sure Moore wanted the knee to hurt, not sue if he wanted to rupture Tracs spleen. The big Yank is a dirty bastard tho'. Seem him try to injure Gawn a couple times, and saw him try to wrench Tracs knee another. He know his skills are limited so attempts to help his team illegally. I also remember we allowed them to mug Watts in his 1st game. Sooner or later a line must be drawn in the sand with this lot.
  9. Nah, not the same at all. Watching live a player might intercept in the backline and the crowd will start roaring cause they can see the whole ground open up in front of him. On TV you might see 3-4 meter either side of the player with the ball. You don't know what his options are, if he even has any.
  10. I think back to a few weeks ago when he took a mark and had the chance to put us in front late. Missed but put himself in the position anyway. Then popped up a couple weeks later and slammed the sealer off the ground with desperation against the Lions. As for Viney .... Didn't they rule him out for about 3weeks?
  11. My 2 cents. AJ stays in. He might not've kicked the goals but he can read the play and had a hand in a bunch of them.
  12. I've got a couple tales. As a young fella I found myself in standing room at the 1980GF between Collingwood and Richmond when Bartlett kicked 7. Was on the 1st level overlooking the old concrete area behind the goals at the city end. Never seen so many bloody punch-ons at the footy ever. I also used an abandoned upturned esky to avoid standing in the constant river of urine that washed past. Something I won't forget. Something else I won't forget was Vic park for the 1st and only time with my old man. Walking up the hill to the turn styles there was a row of handicapped guys in black n white wheel chairs. As we walked past one of them looked at us, started twitching and told us to ... "Fork off Melbourne." As a kid raised at the MCG, to say I was stunned is an understatement. Could not believe we we're on the end of a foul mouthed sledge from a real live mentally challenged Collingwood supporter. And we hadn't even got in the gate 😆 What made it worse was we blew a 27pt 3/4 time lead with Daicos doing Daicos stuff. Man, the joint went full feral. Sure was an experience.
  13. Reminds me of a time the next door neighbour invited me over to watch the St.Kilda v Swans over a couple cans. Just before the game his Swans supporting mate turns up and declares he gets loud watching the footy. So we're watching the game, he's carrying on like a pork chop and I ask who #whatever was? "Oh, I don't know the players." was his reply. I knew right there and then all I needed to know about this bigmouthed fool.
  14. To be fair Kozzie tried to kill Bailey Smith. And I won't hold it against him.
  15. Just nicked off to watch the game again before bed. What I'd give to be able to mute the commentators and just have crowd noise. Brereton ..... Arrrgh 🤬
  16. They're not ghosts. Gotta live somewhere 🤪
  17. Tmac having a good year and could probably use some "management" to keep him in good nick. We're in a good position list wise ATM. Competition for spots at both ends of the ground is high.
  18. Wanna highlight Langdon. He's in that premiership year form again.
  19. Not as jumpy either. He's a very steady hand.
  20. I love watching AJ. Not the most talented but give his absolute all. You just know opposition players would be hearing footsteps when he's around. Today he'd be out've position but will himself to get a hand in and cause chaos. The last tap on was Gold.
  21. Not sure what the weathers been like in Melbourne but there's an old bush legend that says when ya see mobs of black cockies rain is 3days away.
  22. Reading your comment nearly bought tears to my eyes. I've missed him too. Vital part of the engine and if he aint purring, we aint purring. In the past whenever we were under the pump and needed a lift it was Clarry who'd dig and get us rolling. The rest would unfold around him. My favourite player.
  23. Only tuned in at half time. Other than the poor kicking there's not much to whine about. Boys got that look about them again.
  24. Hope we're watching that for 15yrs.
