Agree. Buckley was a kick away from being a GF winning coach. I also think he would have learnt some thing while being the Collingwood coach. There would be things he did that worked, things he did that he now realises didn't and would do differently if he went again. Even people managing skills. You learn those as you move through life. Look at Chris Fagan, flag winning coach at how old. Got the Lions playing good exciting footy. And he was under our nose. I'm not saying I want Buckley, I'm just saying that because he was unsuccessful once doesn't mean he won't be better next time. I doubt he'd want to anyway. If I was a draft prospect the only way I'd want to play for us was if I was a Melbourne supporter as a kid, had no other options, or if it looked likely I'd be heading to GWS, GC to play in even emptier stadiums.
