  1. i'd advise him not to take the MFC gig. i'd advise any coach out there not to take it. It's a poisoned chalice.
  2. Make no mistake. 85 thousand people roaring for a dog taking a speccy is something to behold. Had to be there I guess. Was better than anything the AFL have come up with since.
  3. Honestly. Supporting this club feels like a curse. And I blame my old man. Heard Collingwood were 0-5 after trailing at 3/4 time last night. Just knew we'd break that curse.
  4. I remember attending a final during the 80s at the MCG and half time a bloke come out with 3-4 dogs and some frisbees. Tell ya what watching those mutts take off and launch for those frisbees 6-7ft in the air was highly entertaining. Crowd loved it. Also always enjoyed the kicking competitions where the superboots from the local leagues spent the break dropping 65m torps.
  5. They don't do it so often ya just know they're not gonna do it. But we watch the slow motion capitulation unfold anyway. Bomb it in, bomb it in, bomb it in and hope someone can pull something miraculous out their arzz but no-one ever can. Just so predictable.
  6. Langford saves the play.
  7. it was actually 5 people.
  8. Typical AFL circus. Is Collingwood likely to meet the Crows in Adelaide during finals? Ulterior motive to go pearl clutching I reckon.
  9. Which is also why I doubt he'll have the longevity of Dangerfield, Pendlebury or Sidebottom.
  10. Seem to remember the Dawks winning a few flags while training from VFL Park. Another site you inner city whingers constantly complained about having to travel too.
  11. I discount Clarkson to some extent. Yes he hit the drafting jackpot with Franklin, Roughy etc and then the Hawks and Cats dominance was during GC and GWS coming into the league diluting the draft for other clubs. Both sides then cherry picked their needs for players wanting to play for flags. We don't wanna be down the bottom again when/if Tassie comes in.
  12. I'm for keeping Oliver. Guy is an inside monster and can be again. Tracs heart is finished. Happy to kick back on his $$$, make tic toks and wish he was at a bigger club.
  13. As much as I hate to say it but any-one who takes this perennial basket case on is either desperate or stupid. Possibly both. There's something rotten with this club and stuffed if I know what it is.
  14. 10 goals against the cellar dweller and failing to kick a solitary goal in the last against the Aints. Don't shoot the messenger. You wanted to hear who said what. I told you. Take it up with Chaplin.
  15. Dunno man. He's had a few opportunities to show what he's got and it hasn't been real lot. You'd think he woulda been fit this year unless Goody was gifting him games. I did think it looked as if he was trying too hard at times and it wasn't working.
  16. Pre-game on MMM Chaplin declared they planned to be more attacking. And I thought .... Good.
  17. I disagree. Rivers kicks might not hit every target but at least they spin correctly. Unlike the full mongrels Trac and Clarrie let go.
  18. And so were the recruiters. Any kid that lairy has got to be good .... Right.
  19. Do that from this moment on and I'll be good with it. Make footy fun again. For us and the players.
  20. Yeah we lost but that's the most entertaining game I've seen us play since the flag probably. Coincidence ...... I think not. Onward and upward. Go the Demons.
