  1. News on his surgery, sounds a bit crazy, but he has put on weight to have liposuction done, to gain stem cells to deposit into his knee and hopefully regrow the cartledge......or is planning on at this stage http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/143431/default.aspx
  2. Until there are strict rules on "tanking" we havnt done anything wrong tha twill stand up in any court ect if they try and bend us over. trying players in different positions, sending players needing surgery to get it ect and playing younger players are all within the rules. It may change the rules but we cant get hit retrospectively unless it is proven we didnt "try", we always tried just not with the absolute best team available.
  3. I understand the frustration but people will also be unhappy if we dont take the best long term option as we are not going to play in premierships and win the by taking short cuts along the way, it just doesnt happpen
  4. Your right if the price is right then he can go, i just dont think him ontop of pick 11 or so is value for someone like Caddy, i would think Sylvia would still get usa pick 15-20 atleast on the open market
  5. I agree this is a great team to start with, although stacking our team even with the likes of Caddy (who im not sold on), Viney, and Toumpas and O'Rourke, may leave us a bit raw although the rest of the team is beginning to mature thank god. I would honestly think pick 4 is a bit early for O'Rourke i would hope he could potentially slide to pick 11 tbh or unlikely but Plowman at pick 11 at a big stretch, and then pick up a Stringer or Mayes or Wines at pick 4 would be my preference but the theory is the same essentially. I would also play Clark as the rotating ruck as well it can bring him into games imo, and isnt for long at all, specially if we still have Cloke (a big if) as the target during this time. this means that Sylvia can come onto the bench and give us some pace, and skill which he has, and he has been showing some real form imo lately. Also i am a fan of Watts down back being the play maker and i would hope that Cook is still a chance to come in next year for a while and make it his home, in this case i would go more for maybe a Garlett option maybe at pick 11 or a Kennedy to give us that small option and outside player we lack. this is ALL Blue sky stuff though
  6. Blame schwab.... get a life we dont know if any of this is even true mate
  7. [censored] could get ugly by the sounds of it......this would be right entering our draft of all drafts and we will get excluded from the first and second rounds i bet.....
  8. not a solid link but he may have been training with us the year we took Jordie?
  9. I saw him in the VM vs VC game and thought he was one that caught my eye, just as much as Wines that day and more so than Vlastuin ect for sure, had a good overhead mark and had good decision making ability from what i gathered, I really like him but am not sure about him at pick 4 atm definitely not if we pick Viney at 3. Unsure how he rates atm really compared to Grundy, Plowman, Stringer, Wines, Mayes ... Wines is probably more of a pure inside player I think where O'Rourke can go outside a bit and play half back and take over head marks maybe more of a versatile player? Just another one who is in the mix and muddying Vines true value tbh
  10. Both have been injured, Cook during preseason and being a second year KPF, and Gysberts getting his Jaw broken and being injured prior i beileve
  11. Or was QB the second game that year? maybe so i meant the drawn game?
  12. When we drew obviously 2010 he dropped the mark in the dying seconds?
  13. I have been asking myself the same question, was HUGE in 2009 think back to the Queens birthday drawn game ect, he lloks gone now though he also had that 1 game with 13 tackles now he can barley get 3 a game wtf?
  14. I have but havnt seen Mayes Grundy or Toumpas play which is the thing, i dont think Deeluded is all that wrong he talks alot of truth, Stringer is considered because of previous form weather the punt is taken is another question. And Mayes seems to be coming back into it and doesnt get all the recognition prior to the champs being a WA boy imo. Also the game i saw in the Champs had Wines close to BoG by most people who saw.
  15. Viney isnt in the top 2 players in this draft, it is Whitfield and grundy. this is close to fact i think. So the definate risk is to GC and GWS that they are bidding for someone who is not valued at their pick for starters and who will only be CONSIDERED at picks 3-7 or so possible nowhere near pick 2 depending on O'rourke, Toumpas, Stringer, Mayes, Garlett and even Wines ends to the season this is just such a big gap....
  16. It is a big possibility, it is a risk letting big talents in Whitfield, Grundy and Toupmas even Mayes slip to us as we get 2 of them, not just one. and GWS and GC will miss out on them, and look stupid
  17. This is it, nobody can really agree on where Viney belongs, and i dont think any of us really have an idea if these amateur experts cant agree on him. Especially as he is limited in his height and some people question is ability to develop
  18. This year out forward line has been crazily bad, apologies Mitch Clark 29 goals 11 games Our 4 next best goal scorers are Jones - MID, Howe -MID/FOR, Blease MID, Sylvia MID/FOR OK so our next 4 highest goal scorers are Nathan Jones our best mid this year, stoked your kicking goals mate but we should have 5 other genuine forwards who are kicking as many or more goals than you...... Howe, great forward last year, less so this year, and he floats right up the ground on the wings ect, and he is our only other genuine forward contributor this season.....i would have been hoping for a 30 goal year from Howey Blease, not so bad, has been playing in the mids, can rest foward and be dangerous, and only played half the year, but once again not one of our genuine forwards Sylvia, known much as a HHF type, has been playing alot in the midfield this year, playing inside lately ect, another contender who isnt a genuine forward. Ok so what happened i used to think we had to many forwards especially medium forwards, Howe, Green, Dunn, Petterd, Bate, Jurrah.......Howe the youngest and is the only one who has contributed......... Imagine if we didnt recruit Mitch Clark.....also Watts i am a huge fan i love him playing down back atm, but really we are now relyingon Cook, who i really like as a player to come on and be that second tall target, or play big for Cloke. About Cloke, if anything the last month or so should have shown us that anything can happen and that we cannot work without a atleast one big forward in our side. We also lack any type of small forward since wonna left, we have Lawrence but he has never and never looks like playing, when it seems simpleto find small types in amateur leagues, Siposs, Puopolo, Sadd, Milera, Callinan...... Ideally we would line up like this or similar Sylvia ????? Howe Jurrah Clarke Davey The ??? can be Watts or Cook hopefully but really i dont know who i want to fill in this forward line for our current side, Jurrah may go to jail and Davey is on his last legs imo literally? wtf did out forward line go? What are everyones thoughts? we have no actual forwards options bare part timers when Clark goes down? and we have about 7 medium forwards with 50-150 games experience each......
  19. The way i see it and , alot of people here saying Viney isnt in the top group of players this draft? who is better than him? The consensus is Whitfield, Grundy (suck it up he is rated this high), Toumpas, Then Viney, Wines, O'Rourke, Mayes, Plowman, as the next inseparable group With Menzel and Stringer a risk due to injury sliding, Garlett due to mentality being risk reward types who could go in the mix if a club is confident on them I personally with only a limited knowledge, following many peoples opinions and watching a round of the champs live cant see to many players who seem to be rated or that i was excited by who are better than Viney 100%, i am happy to place him in the 4-6 range and be confident that is where he belongs, i honestly think i would rate him at 4 from what i have seen this draft.
  20. Yep, no way Viney is rated at 10, i am pretty comfortable with him rating at 4-5
  21. I thought he was an inside/outside mid type player, floats across the half back if anything i thought
  22. It is hard to say, Good big men taken early are Leunberger, Mcevoy, Kreuzer, Natanui, even Clark Good ones taken later, Jamar, Cox, Sandi, Mumford, Maric, Jacobs, Goldstein It isnt necessary but i think it is becoming more common place for the good ones to go earlier than they did in the past
  23. I do look on the positive side mate, but all i said about Jetta was he has had half a great season so far, that cannot be argued its round 17 so maybe 2/3 of this season. if it continues he will have great chance at AA. last year people would not have been lamenting this decision, and it comes when Gys is injured. Kennedy obviously had some talent, but had kicked 11 goals in 22 games for a KPP at Carlton, so he wasnt a sure thing or anything in the Judd trade, the only reason it is considered fair is because Kennedy came on far more than most expected. I just dont buy the hype on Darling, he plays great games but it is made out like that is his norm, one day it may be , but just now he comes in and out of games
  24. Ideally from this i would go, Grundy, Toumpas, Plowman (wont be there at 13), Viney (lucky to see him at 24) More likely, Viney, Toumpas, Vlastuin, O'Rouke, Both are amazing cercumstances, O'rouke at 24 is probably a bit to far though
