I wondered if 'X factor'was some banned poster. Even checked the profile. I mean what poster starts their DL career with a new thread that includes this line in the OP: 'It is obvious that this club is not serious about winning and has no clue how to assemble a list.' I also wonder what sort of person goes to the effort of creating multiple user names with the sole aim of creating angst and silly discussions. An excellent point. There are two wings and Maxy can only be on one of them. Hogan played this role super well and it is one reason we have missed him so much. Someone mentioned Pederson was in some ways similar player ie a utility who can back, forward and pinch hit in the ruck and that we missed him playing this role. A really good point that i hadn't considered.

But one very likely reason might be as part of a strategy to play to dees supporters eg 'look we are targeting Elliot, but so are other clubs, which is only natural as he is an excellent player' Why might be he do that? Lots of possible reasons, such as: He is lying and we are the only club seriously looking at him. But between us and his manager we are more than happy to feed rumors that he is wanted man. And why might we do that? To make our decision to target him more appealing to our fans and mitigate against potential criticism of say the terms of our offer ($ and length of contract) To support the positive narrative the MFC have be pushing with puff pieces of late - look we are a serious player for a wanted gun! Absolutely that is feasible. THC attaches to fat cells which is why it is very hard to eliminate it - unlike cocaine, amphetamines or MDMA which leaves the body within 24 -48 hours. This is also reason some people fail drug driving tests for THC even when they are not driving under the influence. I read somewhere that there is some dispute ATM about the efficacy of the test for THC in drug driving buses.

Every club in the league would know who other clubs are looking at. Well before it leaks into the media or football forums Elliot and his manager would know exactly how keen or other wise we are. And if i was a player i would refuse to play a single cent to the AFL players association after they agreed to it. I said at the time it would be a nightmare for all concerned and nothing that has occurred since has changed my view. Be that as it may Willie tested positive to marijuana on game day. So he is stuffed. As he should be. I very much doubt he actually consumed it on game day but THC can stay in the system for up to a month. Which surely he knows.
