  1. Explains your footy career Bob.
  2. Einstien, any relation to Einstein? Hope so. Listen Razzle, I'm confused. How can you have "absolute" faith in Roos and then disagree with the decision. Do you ever think about what you write? And really, are you suggesting that I should ignore the decision of Roos, Viney, Taylor, O'Donnell, Goodwin and McCartney because you and many other supporters don't agree with a second rounder for Melksham? Let's see, Goodwin and McCartney spend years coaching him. O'Donnell will have seen him play many many times. Roos, Viney and Taylor work full time in footy. But no, Razzle Dazzle is upset and says we shouldn't trade a second rounder for him based on what? What do you bring to this debate that our FD doesn't? I'm not thrilled but I'll at least recognize the collective wisdom that made the decision is light years ahead of anything I know and will read here and therefore I'll back them. So in short, I can understand you don't expect me to work out "why" you and other supporters think. I think the reaction here is just dumb.
  3. No faith in Roos Dazzle. Who would have thought.
  4. I've been saying since FA was bought in that the receiving club should have to give up something. This is what happened with Geelong and Danger. Excellent result.
  5. If he ain't going nowhere he must be going somewhere. Are we a chance Dazzle?
  6. Does anyone know the contract status of Jayden Hunt. I think he's out of contract and if they wanted him you'd have expected him to have signed along with White, Stretch, ANB and King. What are people's thoughts?
  7. Home? Where did I mention "home"?
  8. Beggars can't be choosers Old. If Prestia is the best we can do (and I rate him highly) then the fact he misses on ticking one box is not a deal breaker. He's not ideal but as far as I'm aware Fyfe doesn't want to come.
  9. I'm in the minority that think this will be a good decision. Now I'm on record.
  10. Having gone to the B&F, spoken to some of the players and listening to the Billy Stretch interview I continue to be amazed at our decision not to give Crossy another year. Poor decision I think. Very disappointing.
  11. It's got nothing to do with the dollars, it's all about the compensation.
  12. Wrecka what attributes does he have that would allow him to transfer his form at WAFL level to AFL. For example Vanders had pace and clean hands whereas someone like Adam Fisher, although prolific at VFL level didn't have the pace to succeed at AFL level. That's what Taylor will be looking for - AFL attributes. Does Menegola have them?
  13. This is not a good day for footy. Sad really. The domination by the same teams makes the competition quite boring. Well done Frawls, for all the pain you put up with at Melbourne I'm glad to see you have success and play a very good game. I'm also much happier with Brayshaw than you.
  14. Why all the hate for Frawley? He got us Brayshaw. Thanks Chip and good luck.
  15. What we pay him is largely irrelevant, it will be round the mark. It's what we can get for him that counts.
  16. Dazzle said it was a "brilliant" interview. I thought it was prosaic. That's where I'm coming from. I also read the "it was hard going to a new club" line as a reason for his poor form and the headline "I'll be better next year" which seemed to indicate he was disappointed with his year. Jordie was deemed one quarter by Roos this year having been regularly in the Casey best and Roos continually stating good form had to be rewarded. And Jordie has paid for it. He's lost his spot on the list.
  17. Oh Dazzle, when challenged you do revert to abuse don't you. Can't handle another persons opinion? Take a chill pill and have a bit of a lie down. Where have I been negative? I've done nothing but put the interview in perspective rather than fawn over it as if it's some piece of enlightenment. I agree with much of what H says. It's routine stuff coming from a high profile recruit who had a particularly disappointing season. The fact you said "sums up what majority (sic) of supporters think" just highlights how bland the information is. Anyway lets hope he has a significantly better season next year and that he is right in his optimism.
  18. Shannon Byrnes and David Rodan said exactly the same things as Lumumba. It's just the normal post season pre season rhetoric that promotes hope and optimism for the future. I'm glad people like it and we all like H lets call a spade a spade. I'm not going to be sucked in by it and I doubt you are either. And I hope and encyclopaedia salesman doesn't rock up to Dazzles house because he'll be the easiest sell in town. Might do them both good particularly if Dazzle ever opened the book. Harry walked into a new employer and he wants us to believe that is a difficult and traumatic experience and impacted his performance. Give me a break. Brayshaw walked in and was better and so was Stretch. They'd never played in the AFL before, H had 199 games experience. And you reckon he earned his pay packet! 16 in the B&F playing 19 games! Wow you're easy to please. I reckon he's more than our 16th highest paid player. He was a fail this year and I hope he turns it around next year. He finished 4th in the Collingwood B&F the year before so he must be able to play. Let's hope he overcomes his fear of a new employer and gives us some meaningful output next year. On exposed form at MFC he isn't in the best 22.
  19. It's not a brilliant interview, it's an articulate guy making the usual noise about a lowly club's chances of success citing youth, coaching and the togetherness of the playing group. It's full of excuses. New club my hat. Varcoe, Higgins, Vince, Tyson, Stanley, Beams, Christensen, Robinson, Hunt, Garlett etc etc all went to new clubs and fitted in right away. New clubs don't mean you don't go for the ball hard, put your body on the line and involve yourself in play. I think H is probably a very nice, intelligent and articulate guy but his season was awful and I saw nothing to suggest next year will be better. He's been a big disappointment and a cuddly interview won't do it for me.
  20. You've always been happier with that approach and it certainly makes life simpler. But your record on these matters is poor. Each to their own. My view is that now the foundation is in place we should implement Goodwin immediately. In a sense Roos is a lame duck and if Goodwin is there for 3 years post 2016 he should be calling the shots. Surely he would be deciding game plans and player movements. It makes no sense for Roos to be in charge.
  21. I always find this sort of stuff interesting H_T. Whilst many like to pontificate on on field issues I like to look at off field issues. My record isn't bad. And whilst many here like to shoot the messenger when they don't like what they hear I'll always listen because at the end of the day David King will have very good contacts in footy and his opinion means something. I found this single sentence interesting “Word reaches me that it may be time for a bit of a handover,” . That may be a harmless statement or it may be a significant statement. My understanding from all Roos has said is that the changeover would take place during the 2016 season. King seems to be suggesting something different. If he does mean something different then why is the changeover happening earlier. Is Goody doing such a good job they want to get him in there earlier or is Roos on the nose. Certainly Roos public performance this year has been less than pristine. I just like joining the dots and speculating. Let me reiterate. Roos has been sensational for this club and Jackson is a genius. But I'm of the view that on field performance was not the primary reason Jackson got Roos. It's all good. Word I've got is Goody is the real deal. It's just an interesting thing when the jungle drums start beating.
  22. It's the speed of the bleeding that is interesting.
  23. Thanks PD. That's not quite like others have reported it. "Word reaches me that it might be time for a bit of a handover". Interesting. Jungle drums........... of course nothing will be officially said.
  24. Go for it, it's not a long way I imagine and you'd do us all a favour if you succeeded. A shame that blokes like you and DD can't find it in themselves to say something nice about a bloke who gave everything he had and stuck by the club despite better offers. Needed things to go right for him but he was unlucky enough to join a circus. And as Jack said, the game moved away from him. Great guy, loved the club, left nothing behind and struggled with chronic injury. Thanks Jords and all the best.
  25. Did anyone see 360 last night? I heard David King said something about Roos but I can't stand Robbo so I never look at it other than when Bucks And Roos have there segment. Any info appreciated.
