Can anyone with greater technological savvy than I please post those "disgraceful three minutes" of the Richmond game. I would love to make a fumble count, and see again just who kicked that 50+ meter after siren goal. My recollection was that is was a Tiger player, not one of ours, but apparently I could be wrong. On the terrible fumbling issue. I just watched highlights of the 2012 GF: I ask when will the AFL integrity guys start investigating poor Young's critical game changing fumble towards the end of the game? Imagine tanking in a GF. Disreputable stuff that. The bookies must have cringed if they had their $$ on the Hawks.

Getting very desperate if that "allegation" is Part of their case. Martin has been used as a KP defender and forward. I honestly can't be bothered delving, but is this seriously the very first, and only time that any team has taken in three players, two of whom can really only ruck, and one who is a "tall utility"? They are showing just what a pack of footy ignoramuses they have employed as "integrity officers".

Geez. They are really getting desperate if they are picking up on 4 team changes in a week as "evidence if tanking".How many did their precious GWS make before they risked a possible victory over GC ? Was it 8 or close to? But of course they can do no wrong, (even signing up contracted players mid season). As for interchange numbers, as I have pointed out before, using "acceptable numbers" had been doing us a fat lot of good to date so why not try something radically different for a change. Perhaps a bit more stability within a match could help players know what they were expected to be doing rather than the often shambolic stuff we see with them sprinting off then on to who knows where and to what role? Even the infallible AFL themselves have mooted a significant reduction as perhaps being better for the game, so maybe we should be lauded for being the innovators.

I think the correct metaphor should be the patience of Job.Jove I beleive was a funny guy, one with a sense of humor, which too many here seem to lack.

But one thing that tectonic plates do have is enormous strength and power, and no man can stop them. Not sure about them having confidence or not though.

I guess one needs to keep all options open, depending on circumstances. After all, had the Ox not gone down with his knee injuries, and had a 12 year career as the competition's leading CHF (which is where he clearly was heading), then DN may not have moved forward at all. -

Couldn't agree more - an asset in so many ways. -
Not if he was under explicit instructions from CS & CC to lose by 30 goals :-))) As far as the Paul Johnson at FB "evidence" is concerned - is it any worse than Stan Alves leaving Jamie Shanahan one on one with Darren Jarman for most of a quarter while he carved them up with a handful of goals? Imagine, tanking in a grand final. Clearly needs investigation for bringing the game into disrepute.

As in many disputes, the only winners may turn out to be the lawyers.

I have just read The Age link - "deliberately fumbling"!! What a scurrilous accusation against each and every player involved. Will every player who may have fumbled in that game be also water boarded into an admission of guilt? Will we now have to keep a quarter by quarter "fumble count"? The Carltank fumble count in the Kruzer Cup game would be very interesting to see.

There were numerous injuries compounding the whole issue, as others have pointed out. And as far as I am aware there is no rule stating how many rotations are required in a match, so no rule to breach. IMO excessive rotations sometimes confuse players and may even tire some more - is it not worthwhile to see what is the result of reversing this trend? Does one have to defend an allegation, or only defend a charge?
-
Certainly not a hanging of fence, but it isn't a very clever thing to do to go out and publicly get [censored] in the most 'notorious' place on that particular day - apart from the 'bad look' it does put the players at risk of injury should say some toothless Magpie or Tiger fan be even more [censored] and assault them. CASE CLOSED YOUR HONOUR. PS: facts please - were any current MFC players actually "evicted"?
-
Well, we weren't exactly killing off the competition with 100 rotations, so why not experiment with 40 to see if that made a difference? And they seem to forget that we were ahead at the final siren in the "McMahon game". How can they say we tried to lose that one?

We may have to agree to disagree then. Maybe revisit in a few years. -
Maybe, maybe not, but rolling over and saying "take me" is not an option, presuming that "the evidence" (obtained by questionable means - was anyone water-boarded by the way?) fails to prove any wrongdoing.

I guess we don't really know, BH. He was recruited as a KPP forward, but has only played down back. Do you remember an AA CHB called Neitz? Was he seen as a champion FF then? That said, it will depend on team balance and who is doing what where. -
Then please explain just why the inventors and refiners of tanking, who have themselves admitted to it, are not the subject of this inquisition?
-
How many years have we spent on him? Five? How many (positively) memorable games has he played? Five? The only way he could bulk up would be.....????? WADA should look at him if and when he does.

To even get a slap with a wet lettuce you surely need to have done something wrong - still waiting for the evidence to be produced, not just alluded to by that miserable bitter Wilson. Punishment for what, pray tell? Tactics from the Stazi and KGB days. I agree, NOT ACCEPTABLE. We have been Les Miserables forfar too long - man the barricades and fight the bastards. Yeah - a great "journalistic" hyperbole. After all, up to 20 million Australians are sadistic serial killers, like maybe 5 or 10 ? I know that Vlad will never admit it, but his ex offsider has hashed this up so badly. Like a secret CIA / FBI Commie bashing exercise of the 1950s.

And without the need to tank !
-
Surely he is "the missing link": he will instil that missing hardness that they need to bring them to the top.

An exorcism??

See you there - plenty of demons in hell, so I am told.
