  1. Thanks Sounds very constructive. Were any of the coaches present to help guide them?
  2. Sorry - cant get the video to run right now. Can anyone give a briefing on just what they do now?
  3. It is a bit like the poster on the Spencer tribunal thread said - the AFL do treat their "favourites" very differently from their "easy targets". He, and the Bummers, will get a gentle rap over the knuckles and will move on. Dimitriou is always on about :"the integrity of the game"; if MFC can go down $500k for being not guilty of the undefined offence of tanking, this should be worth tens on millions, but it wont of course. The commission are as conflicted in their deliberations as are the tribunal and the MRP. The guy has admitted to taking illegal substances; who knows how much it helped him win the Brownlow.
  4. Spirit - so where do you stand? Am I reading a flip-flop opinion, or an uncertain at this stage one??? Are you with the pessimistic 31 who seems quick to use the "spud" word, clearly not appreciating just where, how and why he was picked, or do you carry a modicum of optimism? He was never expected to even push for MFC selection this year....any time in Casey seniors would be a bonus. But I am always wary of comments like "going to be some player down the track", or "he will be a gun" until we have seen something at top level. Bitten too many times
  5. That has already happened, broken jaw and all....and Wojinski got in effect two weeks! So inconsistent the MPR....a patheitc joke
  6. McEvoy actually head butted Spencer!!! Malicious - should be a new level of classification. Inexcusable. Put the big man down. 4 weeks minimum (should be - wont).
  7. Just how great would / will it be to have any MFC player amongst the 44 in the mix for a Normie :-) Let me dream.
  8. LOL :-)))))) .uite right what you say about keyboard warriors. I for one can't now bring myself to hit the <homonym with Kew> button - just lack the guts..
  9. Waiting for the next "he's not as good as Wines" post, forgetting that Wines is playing for a team that can (sometimes) play decent footy, whilst Toumpass is in a struggling team.
  10. I've got a feeling that we're a real chance this week
  11. As long as we don't ever ever go for the [censored] powder blue that the Cheaters wear...........then contradict by singing that they are the Navy Blues.
  12. Namesake - interesting observations comparing the departures of Craig and of Williams from their respective SA clubs. It would appear from results that NC left his club on better terms and in better shape than did MW. Perhaps a word of caution for those enthusing over MW. NC certainly appears a man of passion, integrity and huge experience in elite sports. We could (and have) do a lot worse than give him a serious consideration.
  13. Clark and a fit Dawes and Grimes could have made the difference.
  14. This has been a huge problem for a long time - Jamar has for a long time lead the hit out numbers, but they are just so predictable and rarely convert to clearances, making hit outs a pretty hollow stat. Garland shows genuine passion for the game and the lib - hope it can rub off on more of his colleagues. Of course, but since when did any skerric of logic apply to AFL policy on clash jumpers. I totally agree, from the few clips I have managed to see of this game, far more confusing than our true jumper. . Reinforces what is have said just above. The clearance players need to work more with the rucks so that they can read him, and also direct him. A double edged sword sort of situation.
  15. KC and others - many thanks once again.
  16. Didn't see it - one if the radio commentators, not sure who, said he would get 5 weeks yet the Saint who apparently KOd Dawes intentionally behind the play may get a week!
  17. Craig has been top dog for ONE WEEK - give him a bit of time Clisby, Terlich, Kent, Tom McDonald??????????
  18. I feel angry and fed up that once again a mixture of alcohol and testosterone has resulted in a very serious injury. However the evidence, at least as outlined in the article, is heavily conflicted and criminal guilt requires a finding beyond reasonable doubt -- from the evidence outlined in the article there does seem doubt as to whom was the aggressor. And yes I agree with your assertion regarding Bailey and just what, having been found guilty beyond reasonable doubt, what level of depravity and premeditation is required for a maximum sentence to be applied -- and more particularly in his previous offences.
  19. Thanks for that Reports always welcome by those of us who cant get there.
  20. .....and who remain uninjured on the field. We did get Clark and Dawes, professionals who lead, but haven't had them both on the track even once.
  21. These Kennedys are more prolific than the USA Royals.
  22. They forgot to add; Nick Smith 4-6. On the other hand it may have been 426 weeks all along, which is just over 8 seasons...expect a surprise inclusion very soon.
