  1. We gavePicks 61&79 We got Garlett & 83 I thought 61 would be for frost!
  2. yeh, il also think we are hoping he slips down, because i dont think we can pull the trigger on 2/3 on someone we hope could play midfiled. although 21 will mean he is definitely taken. interesting though
  3. I think if we were able to get 15, i would be incredibly frustrated if that was then sent for Lumumba considering his age and player profile. if we could get 15 & 35 that would put us in a great position to finish the trade week. on the trade front looks like minimal interest in any of our bottom 20 players, which is unsurprising but at the same time would be awesome if they could have some sort of trade value.
  4. I'm more and more convinced that we should go to the draft with pick 2-3 as this week goes on. B+ grade talent is only available and I doubt we will attract a top end player. We need another key defender (frost/gwilt), a rebounding defenender (lumumba), speed (gartlett & stretch), quality midfielder (petracca/brayshaw) and 1 more quality key forward, developing or not (Mccartin/Wright). This will be a fairly decent make over of the list and sits us in a great development position also.
  5. Can run and can kick, if the interchange cap drops to 80 in the near future could be a very handy acquisition. that said, 3rd round picks dont grow on trees and we are too heavily invested into Lumumba that if we got one we would be using it already
  6. I think this about pretty much every player who is picked up to the AFL system, especially after listening to NRL players speak at the grandfinal
  7. Currently Defenders: KPP: Lynden Dunn, Tom Mcdonald, Sam Frost, Oscar McDonald Mid: Colin Garland, Jack Grimes. Heritier Lumumba Small: Dean Terlich, Neville Jetta Still a bit short on numbers in our Backline, although now we have a little bit more coverage with Frost able to support the talls with injury, can see this issue being addressed in the rookie draft again with a key defender to be brought in. Midfielders: Rohan Bail, Daniel Cross, Nathan Jones, Jordie Mckenzie, Aidan Riley, Christian Salem, Jimmy Toumpas, Jack Trengove, Dom Tyson, Bernie Vince, Jack Viney, James Harmes, Billy Stretch, Ben Newton, Christian Petracca, Angus Brayshaw, Alex Neal-Bullen Depth of the midfield positions have been added, our midfield group has extended and strenghtened with 4 developing midfielders and one ready to go mid. Forwards: KPP: Chris Dawes, Jack Fitzpatrick (ruck), Jesse Hogan, Cameron Pederson (ruck), Max King (ruck) Mid: Small: Jayden Hunt, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Dean Kent, Jeff Garlett Forward stocks have not been addressed in the draft, big year for Fitzy in terms of probably the fellas last chance to show something, can see us bringing in another forward in the rookie draft. Rucks: Max Gawn, Mark Jamar, Jake Spencer Jamar will be 1st team to start with, but here is hoping Gawn can come and steal it off him. The ruck stocks are acceptable definitely with how most AFL teams set up, 3 and one rookie. Utilities: Jeremy Howe, Matt Jones, Viv Michie, Jack Watts Interesting where these players will spend their time, Watts probably more as a high half forward mid and Howe could well be moved back into the forward line 40/40 spots on the primary list 2/4 Rookies
  8. at the end of the day if we are going to trade picks 2 & 3 it will be for an out an out superstar with 7+ years so no older than 25. The problem with this is that clubs ideally want to keep their superstars (obviously), so due to this i have given up hope in trading off both for Danger. But I can still see a trade working out with the bulldogs for pick 2 or 3 and their pick 6. This still gives us the option for a quality mid (either pick 3 or pick 6) and if McCartin is available for the Dogs, Wright may well be available with pick 6. This gives us a win/win situation as well as securing a midfield talent to add to the ranks. That said, if we bring in Lumumba, Frost and possibly Schroder/Burbury as well as two of Petracca/Brayshaw/McCartin/Wright, it does put us into a good position to develop. Lumumba and Frost fill needs. Schroder and Burbury add depth to both midfield/fwd stocks those 4 look set to be the best acquisitions of the draft and are definite needs for our list.
  9. I think his off field choices is more a reference to his ideal method of enjoying parties on a night out
  10. Schroder and Burbury will find their way to a new club. We could do alot worse than signing either of them even if it is to provide depth. I know from the few afl games I saw schroder play, he was used as a small forward rather than inside mid which he was drafted as. Obviously it is near impossible to slot into the Geelong midfield but he could add a bit of depth to both our small forward/mid stocks.
  11. I think you are ill informed and annoyed because you were blocked on social media. You sir are a weenie
  12. Look I don't think there is any appropriate forum to have a go at people, but social media is probably the least. Everyone here takes media with a grain of salt, but as soon as something that supposes a negative action it must be true. If he wants to play football good on the guy, and here is hoping that he is definitely keeping the MFC in future plans
  13. I guess the problem with it all, much the same as the statement "run like a girl", is that it has become something that people say as derivative statements because it has negative connotations for earlier times. There is no way someone would try and be offensive by saying "you are so straight" but also it is commonplace for people to make a statement such as "that's gay" about something they don't like. None the less I don't know where I'm going with that point, but it's just simply educating these football players to not be so stupid when they are making "jokes". That said HL craves attention, butchers the football, is an awful one v one defender and really I hope we don't pick him up. At the end of the day I am sure he is very sincere and wants to do the right thing, but at the same time it feels like over the last few years he always wants to be in the headlines for something
  14. The difference is that HL craves attention, whereas colin craves the nightlife. Both quite poor. I dislike him because he is over rated and butchers the football
  15. His repeat efforts, ks ran and high intensity efforts on his GPS data are allegedly in the top 3 at the club. His disposal is the most damaging on our team, only competitor bernie. He was incredibly consistent in games and rarely had a poor game, he may have one or two efforts where he is beaten too easily or doesn't go as hard as he should, but ultimately this year he was much improved and deserved the top 10 finish.
  16. Lol that it censored it
  17. Not sure it serious
  18. I read the article, really made me think about whether we were doing the wrong thing. But then I thought about the concept of being in games for longer, keeping opposition points down and ultimately as our team develops if we can limit our score against it means our score for doesn't have to be as high to win and it worked several times this year. Ultimately we lack someone who we can back into take big pack marks, gawn and hogan could develop into this and Mitch Clark was this, so ultimately we has a forward line that consisted of hit up targets and that doesn't help.

Bloody everton look to be a little bit underdone, should really have 6 points from two games. Annoyed to drop the points against the gunners
  20. I remember reading that. Pretty sure Roos did much the same this pre season. We should sell ours, could well fund a big recruit...
  21. Possibly explains the purchase and use of them
  22. Hard work in order to build up running fitness and also multiple changes to our list. Kinda sounds like the last few seasons. The one thing I do know that I have heard Roos is against doing massive work on the Watt bike and much more simulation running. But will be very similar to last year. I think the match play simulation drills will be most vital and effectively enforcing players to do that two way running, especially our key forwards.
  23. How many changes have occured over the three years he has been listed, let alone just this year. Lots of the players fitness is much better than it has ever been and will continue to improve. It's just the fact that we make ourselves run a lot more than necessary due to turning it over so much.
  24. Feel like Misson is going to continue doing preseason like he has his whole career, won't be much different to last preseason or the one before really.
  25. The fact that Hill only really got away from him during the second quarter and Barry found more of the football is somewhat of an indication that he has potential. I'm very sure Roos said to Dom "you are going to be running with Hill, this is the footballer we hope you develop into in the next few years"
