I know the player sponsor for Toumpas. He hasn't mentioned anything of this supposed homesickness. He thinks Toumpas is an extremely confident young man who will back himself to come good.

Some people don't understand compensation

7 years working with Eddie rubbed off on this bloke. He affects a Neil Balme style jocular persona, but really he's as cunning as a shithouse rat. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Chook in Perth replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Dangerfield chase goes nowhere, bit of talk of trading pick 2 to the Bulldogs for 6 and a very good young mid. Rationale being Brayshaw still there at 6 due to talls wanted elsewhere, and he's the man we want. -

No mate! Absolutely my favourite time of the year. No actual games to destroy our moods. Have no interest in posting for 11 months of the year any more - just October. Guess that makes me the new Nudge -

Hell of a lot of, obviously, uneducated opinions. We're talking about a 2 (or is it 3?) time Premiership player who is still only 26, that's just played 23 games in a team that finished 3rd. We have 10 regulars that aren't up to sniff, and folk are turning their nose up at Varcoe? Let not forgot we're trading a bloke who can't get on the park, has questionable moral fibre, [removed that bit. unfounded gossip] and has a couple of [injunctions]. -

I couldn't be less emotional about this. he's just a business transaction, a commodity. his myriad of issues aren't worth the effort. Make no mistake, he may have walked. But there's a size 10 boot mark on his arse -

first thing Monday. No BS, will be done and both clubs move onto other matters. -

Straight swap for Varcoe is gathering momentum. -
Also you're a Melbourne supporter - you've endured a lifetime of being shat on

I don't have any new information, and no idea what Dangerfield will do. But everything I was told, and posted, has gone public in the last 24 hours. Suit yourself, but I'm taking refuge in the confirmation of interest and offers. Gotta be in it to win it.

apparently big Mitch couldn't control little Mitch in his last days at AAMI Park..... -
Sorry brother, my info has dried up in last few days. Nothing new to report.

wipe your plucking chin, Fence, you're dribbling.
-
Dangerfield met with Jones, Vince and Goodwin on Friday.
-
Overs and unders have to be assessed at the end of the trade period, not one deal in isolation. What did you start with, and what did you end with... I'll trust Roos, Viney, Taylor and Mahoney to deliver us a much improved position.

Freo 7 years at $600k, Sydney 6 years at eff knows what..... Its a fait accompli.

2 and 3 are on the table. This is real.

sorry should have been clearer. what what I can gather we did go to him with a Godfather offer sometime ago, and were told to get the ducks in a row for next year. everything changed last week. who knows how this plays out. Only logical Connors leaks to industry so another, more attractive, club moves heaven and earth. get this superfluous on field distraction out of the way first I suppose
-
Sorry guys was hoping for more detail. not forthcoming. However what I did get was two other sources tell me essentially the same thing: Danger and Connors told us to sort ourselves for FA nxt year. after the events of last week, he's open to moving now. we have the picks to satisfy the Crows, and an open cheque book. Forum veterans will recall Grand Final week 2007. here we go again
-
Hold that thought. Hearing Dangerfield is now very much in play, with likelihood somewhere near 90%. More info tomorrow.
-
Suit yourself. Wasn't offering an opinion. I was offering what I've been told.
-
Not happening guys. it was either Dangerfield or Sanderson. Rumours about Melbourne were deliberately leaked to ensure the threat was taken seriously. From what I have been told Danger will now stay, and probably recommit. To be honest I don't want blokes who can weild that sort of power anyway.
-
Goodwin will be announced very soon. Possibly this week. In keeping with our long and storied history of problem gamblers.

As a semi retired poster, I sure as hell aren't coming here for the drivel that fills every thread. Would go as far to say in 80 pages his posts are the only ones worth reading.
