  1. Nothing! Melbourne fullforward,, watching play down the other end
  2. Take the emotion out of thinking and you stop being a human. Know your emotions and know your thinking and know how they interact is the way the mature human opperates.
  3. We don't want to stay bad and continue to ingrain bad attitudes and practices in the players approach.
  4. When Tom originally arrived Iwas taken by his marking and watched for his senior's arrival. I enjoyed it for much of last year except I noticed he was becoming purely a defensive 'puncher'. I expected him to have improved this year but have become disappointed. My question now is where will we find ataller andfast CHB, It baffled me why Martin was banished from the backline. It always frustrated me when the opposing tall forwards were dwarfing our backs (remember Cloke on Rivers) I wished at least Martin be given a game.. So much for that. So where to now. Garland has plateaued and is basically a 3rd or 4th tall backman. I was disappointed they got rid of Sheahan so soon. Progress reports seemed positive but that was from written reports. On the list I can only see one player who has the attributes for the job, admittedly not yet. Fitzpatrick is tall enough and has the pace. Places are filling up on the forward line. Clarke Dawes Hogan Gawn Howe. So maybe someone from this list needs to be given the Key position backline jog. If not Fitz. Maybe Clark or Dawes
  5. Have you just noticed. He's played most of his career on his knees. Footballers cardinal sin
  6. Hinckley win loss ratio 5W - 0L Neeld about 5W - 19L For all his good, Neeld lacks something vital
  7. What do you mean we came from so far down. I thought it was 8 wins.
  8. To put it simply, 'a one trick pony'. She trolls the underbelly of the AFL and that's about all. Don't imagine she actualy knows much about the actual game as she never writes about football.
  9. My memory was seeing them on the forward line. I remember Schwarta playing his first game in a pre season night game at Waverley. He came on and dropped a mark 30 metres out. What a turn around after that. I can remember Neita circling wide ..as he often did latter ... on the forward line ... in the seconds/reserves.
  10. Told he barracked for the demons, I'm hanging my hope on that fact...if its true
  11. ..please....should have.......NOT should of
  12. No because he created the lack of leadership problem. We will now lack a significant leadership team for a minimum of 5 years
  13. Older Dee, I'm absolutely with you and may I say several of my mates are exactly on the same page. It doesn't mean Neeld has done nothing right, but if you carry a bucket with holes in it, I can tell you it is always half empty and will never be half full.
  14. Kinda like 'the duck' Wayne Carey
  15. True but there is a point when keeping a coach demoralises players and supporters. Its a difficult dillemma
  16. Great determination in first half. Accurate kicking always helps. Some good run and carry, and good pressure at times. Eagles below par still, but got a fright at half time and ultimately pulled finger out. First 15 minutes of third quarter saw them rain goals and we were demoralised. Game over.
  17. Maybe you didn't notice who he was rucking against. Were you at the game.
  18. This thread is sick. It is bringing out all the sick minded demon followers. If you think Neeld is destroying players take a good hard look at yourselves. You erode the ethos of the club supporter base.
  19. Have you taken a look at yourself when you run. Or perhaps have you ever broken out of a walk.
  20. Yes I left at three quarter time, because this disaster hit at the core of what I would imagine drives every supporter of every club. HOPE. I am 65 and believe this rebuild of the rebuild is already destined for failure so that we are now on a 10 year plan. That is when Hogan, Grimes, Viney, Toumpas, maybe Trengove....will be the core of the future with years of experience and aged approx 25 to 30. That will make me 75 with more than fingers crossed. The fact that Sellars, Byrne, Gillies, Roden can hardly crack 10 possessions is ridiculous. They are meant to change culture at the club. Maybe on the training track, but not on the field. If we go down by 150 points with them in, then I don't want it. Playing them is treading water. I want to go with an ounce of hope. Matt Jones and Terlich at least provided this. I want to go back to watching the young kids even if they don't get to many more kicks than the retreads have been getting. I'll be there next Saturday, but give me a reason for hope. I'll take any loss a lot easier with reason to HOPE. Give me a reason.
  21. Mid field speed was a major problem last week, why would you bring in McKenzie.
  22. He chose to come. He offered a solution. He chose to go in a different direction. He is responsible for its progress. There are no excuses. He gets the glory or the .................
  23. In the spirit of the above posts, the honeymoon is over. Neeld brought a basic package to the club, defensive Collingwood/Malthouse game plan, (we will be the hardest club to play against) broad coaching panel, elite fitness team (Misson and Craig). I was encouraged after the Bailey era. He took a stand on player types and attitude. Hard bodies was the motto, even if it left some questions on skill, potential and speed ( a group of go between VFL - AFL players). He took a stand on culture by hastening the departure of older experience particularly leadership. This was symbolised by the choice of Grimes and Trengove as Captains. This is the base level he works from. It certainly offered a new era, but it left questions. Now into his second year and one game and big questions remain and if not careful will very quickly blow out into judgement time. Games against Ess, WC, had better be competative. If not judgement day will arrive on Sunday April 21st against GWS and Sunday 28 against Bris Lions. Of course players must lift, but the real issue is whether Neeld can stand up from his base line package and show he has that extra that surving coaches have, carisma, tactical nous etc. Without these he will have so lost the respect of the club from players to supporters that there will be no coming back. The month of April is judgement month for Mark Neeld. ps. Re the Collingwood/Malthouse game plan, from general discussion it is very possibly that by the end of April Melbourne and Carlton will both be sitting on the bottom of the ladder with a record of zip and 5
