At the risk of getting into slanging match Jose I am talking about have good players not have the best players in the leadership group. Of course you have to have the best leadership group. That is self evident by the very title of the group. What I am trying to tell you is as i have written "I don't think it matters if we have 5 or 15 in the leadership team If we don't have good players" ( in the team )" the results will be the same as the last 5 years. It is the quality of the players in the" (playing )"group not the number" in the leadership group."

See my comment to Jose above McQueen. The leadership still has 6 players from last year. Lets assume those players are wonderful leaders and good players ( which I think they are ) It did not get us above third last, that says to me that unless you have 30 quality players the leadership group will make little difference. Good players make good teams and good coaches. Good players are the starting point Without them you finish third last.

I seriously hope you are correct WJ, I have no doubt of his ability. However I do have big doubts about his body being up to the grind of AFL football. As we speak it is doubtful he will be available for AFL duty in the early part of season.

A friend of my daughters is an agent. He has AFL, RL, Rugby Union, Soccer players and actors on his books. Has no original Australians. Reason success rate is too low and 90% are too hard of work. His view is the chance of getting a good client is too low.

It will also say a lot about our recruiting over the couple of years these guys were chosen. I hope they all justify there selection as they are what is basically left from those years high selections
