I have been to a lot of AGM's over the years and with the exception of the hawks amalgamation all I have been to have been fairly tame affairs.
This is especially true when there is no voting required to elected board members as is the case this year.
You are correct hoopla they will try and bury any questions on the tanking enquiry as they did last year with 186
However that does not mean that questions cannot be asked it will just mean they will try and claim they cannot answer in the current environment.
The trick is to think up a question that is connected to the subject but does not require an answer related to the inquiry's possible result.
Right now I do not know what that question might be but there is still three weeks to go.
Anyone have a bright idea?
"No it won't. The media is so lazy and so obsessed with Melbourne that they've become completely incapable of stringing together more than a few words on any subject without dropping in the obligatory reference to the Demons and the T word no matter what story they happen to be covering at the time:-"
You are correct but at least we only got a couple of lines in a page 3 story that had Lake getting 2/3 of a page.
I reckon this will get a lot more airplay this week.
I would have been happy in 2012 if we were having final quarter fad outs, the majority of last season's games were over at quarter time.
Just seems to me they were not good enough, so it would not have mattered what they were thinking.
I see a certain Mr and Mrs Lake have been arrested last night for D and D
Evidently they were very much the worst for wear.
Might get us out of the news for a couple of days.
Wonder what the hawks are thinking of their deal to recruit him now?
I hope you are right DemonWA he does at least know how to get the ball which is always a great start.
But until I see otherwise I think he is good tackler with plenty of heart but a lack of skill that will keep him in the average class.
I went to the Game in Brisbane last year rjay. He was terrible, at least three times in the third quarter he picked out the only Lion player in their back line and kicked it straight to them. The guy was 15 metres away from three Dees players.
He either wants to learn how to kick or get his eyes tested.
I will admit he does get the ball, that put him in front of about 20 other players last year.
I think he is a useful tagger but doubt much more than that.
But who knows time will tell
Actually I did not dee-luded, if you trawl back through the threads you will see I was a big supporter of Jones when a lot where saying he would not be in our best 22 by around 2013.
As for Frawley don't ever remember making much comment about him.
What do you think of Tapscott?
bb I am yet to see what the major attribute is he brings to the side besides aggression and I have no idea in what position he should be played.
I have this horrible gut feel that what we have seen so far is all there is.
I will admit this is his first real pre season, other years he has been injured and done little at this time of the year.
My fingers are crossed
Big Jake Spencer will be the Dees No.1 ruckman by season's end.
Mick Evans will finish 2013 with an extended contract if his back holds up.
Tapscott will finish the year as a Casey regular
