Saty I don't believe I have ever said fling him.
In the scheme of things I believe he is an average at best player.
If he was involved as a part of a trade deal for a better player I would do it in a heart beat.
What you say about the improvements he has made under Roos might all be true but IMO he is at best average and that is it.
Now it is only my opinion.
There lies the problem IMO.For bail to be a walk up start to the best 22 shows how poor the rest of players are that would replace him.
On his good days he is an average quality AFL player.
He would not get a game in the top ten teams.
The difference between the MFC and when Roos went to Sydney was he had a reasonably good list to start with.
Now he has a list that is the worst in the competion.
It is going to take time to change that problem.
I hope you are right but I seriously doubt it.
Agree nutbean there are plenty of juniors selected in the top 20 every year that do not make it at senior level and plenty outside that group that do.
Being a top junior does not guarantee you will automatically be top level senior.
Garland is UFA at the end of 2015.
Lets not have another Frawley year in 2015.
Resign him now or put him up for trade this year.
Get something while the opportunity exists.
I doubt a Captain would be traded RB simply because he is a captain. However if you were looking at ability only I would have him towards the front of the trade for advantage queue.
My problem Dr is that i see lots of MFC supporters who want to blame bad luck for our misfortunes when the majority have been self imposed .Over the last decade we have had a series of poor administrations, poor Coaching, Poor player selection, poor development and looking to take the easy option by tanking.
We may have had a few unexpected player failures but to lay our problems at the feet of "bad Luck" is IMO just looking for a handy excuse.
