It was harder having her gloat every time they beat us which was most of the time. When she become an adult we enjoyed going to games together. however motherhood and the druggies have effectively removed her from the sport. Since 2014 she has had little interest. Hates Hird with rare passion and little interest in AFL.

I did get a better deal than the other dealer I went to during the process. Was it better than I could have extracted by just driving a hard bargain? Good question Not sure however I have had a good relationship with their service department since. Conclusion I suspect I got the same deal a non MFC member driving a hard deal would have got but they knew I was an MFC member and that may have benefited the club. If the club had a sponsorship deal with another car supplier I would go out of my way to get a price however I would need to be interested in the vehicles they were selling. PS I recently used "I select" to change my car insurance.

My last car was bought from an AHG dealership. I went there on the basis they were a MFC sponsor when there were closer dealerships available. But I do agree with your view. I am in the market again but this time I will look closer to home.

If we are dependent on this two to get us into the finals in 2018 we can safely book holidays For September. Oscar is a marginal AFL level Talent who has contributed in 2017 however I fear we wont see much improvement from here on. Lever should easily cover his place in the back line. The Weid has yet to demonstrate he can cut it at VFL level. I am hopeful he will become regularly amongst the best five at Casey in 2018. However don't book holidays before mid September as you will miss our first finals appearances for a long time.

Anything is possible LH just look at the last two years. It is just what will make me happy. I just need to go to games believing we have a very good chance of winning and then doing it the most weeks. I just want to walk away from games proudly displaying my MFC allegiance. If something better happened then I will be very happy but I dont need it like I did 20 years ago. What I really really need is for my Grand Daughters to grow up in a safe world.

My reward is a power team that wins 80% of it's games and plays finals every year. Winning a GF is beyond my expectations now.

The period that RF played in was a poor MFC era however while team results were not good we did have a number of good players during his career time. Move forward to the period that Jones won the B&F, he was part of the worst teams that the MFC have put on the park IMO. Jones won those awards when we had 4-5 AFL standard players .Simply there was no one else. He will not win another B&F simple because there are a lot of players now drawing votes. I actually think Jones is playing better now than when he won the awards. Time also clouds what players were really like we remember the good times but forget the not so good. Flower had poor games I remember thinking on lots of occasions if only Flower had played well today we would have won.
