  1. As a player there have been few better than Dermie. However as a commentator he is way out of his ground. There because of his playing days. Irrelevant now.
  2. I am much more confident of him from distance. From 20 - 30 metres I close my eyes. A great goal. From distance he loves to run around to his right before he kicks. The greatest ruckman I have seen playing the game and gets no help from umpires eg last night's wack to the head.
  3. I must admit I have never been a big fan of Goodwin but this year he seems to have gone up a level. Doing a good job this season. But it once again shows players make coaches.
  4. I love how people can only see negatives when we win. Last night we beat the undefeated top team. We must have done most things well. No team plays 100% ever game. People seem to lose sight of the fact there is an opponent out there. 46 humans running around, their only human, errors occur. The objective is to be in front at the end. We just beat the top team. ENJOY it!
  5. Exactly what was expected. A p on his good days.
  6. I have never seen Scott give any credit to the opposition. If he said it was day time I would go out and check.

Not unless the dogs agree to pay part of his salary Mr leg. Who would pay that price for a VFL player?
  8. I am sceptical of JVR. Having said that I looked at his game time and he spent barely 50 % of the game playing in the forward line. Is performance as a ruckman is average at best. The best I can say is he provides a contest as a ruckman. However there is no one to replace him so it is best to keep playing him and hope he develops further.
  9. How does the hit to the head of Gawn not become a free kick? There are four umpires out there and they still get it wrong.
  10. Funny looking at this thread compared to 5 or 6 years ago when we were losing games by a couple goals. It would 20 pages by now. Strange how winning changes things.
  11. I have to say I agree with your vander comment.
  12. He will be whinging about something.
  13. Who was that [censored] using my name who said we would lose. I hope doesn't come back.
  14. Geelong played all over us in that last 15 mins. They will win easy.
  15. Comedy of goal kicking from both sides. Either side could be 4 goals in front at this point.
  16. Get your man Vander to fire up. 3 goals tonight is the minimum. Holding a few marks might help as well.
  17. I have thought long and hard about this game. I will be there tonight, only a good first quarter will see us get the chocolates. Even then I don't see our forward line kicking a winning score. Sadly cats by 3 goals.
  18. You are not alone.

    Perhaps against the Cats.
  20. I had 2 great uncles who served in WW1 one never returned. My father was on the Kokoda track in 1942. A school friend died in Vietnam. I think of them every ANZAC day plus the many others who served.
  21. Another Friday where my team has won another game. 5 wins from 7 games is a good start to any season. It sure beats 2 from 7 which was our performance for decades. Enjoy guys and gals. We dreamt of a team like this for seemingly forever.
  22. My father used to tell me " good sides find a way to win when they are not playing well". Having said that I didn't think we were that bad. Richmond gave it their best effort but ran out of steam in the second half when the cream rose to the top.
  23. Another poor game from Petty, since returning from injury he seems way out of form.
  24. Saying that gives no credit to the tigers. They came to win and negated guys like Petracca in the first half. But in the end it is difficult to keep good players out for four quarters.
