  1. At the moment there are the usual serial spammers and the easily led doing their best to fudge the situation for CS and CC on this forum.
  2. Aside from the hazy concept of tanking this could also go into the realm of match fixing. Since there is legalised betting on football this could even turn out to be a criminal offence.
  3. This is the most heartening thing about this sordid affair. They stood up for the integrity of the club. And no doubt many of these guys are the ones pushed out the door.
  4. Will be bigger but the not way you think it will be.
  5. The problem is no one has come out and squeeled against Cartlon or any team that have tanked. Unless some one comes out of the woodwork with direct allegations or evidence they will never have a case to answer for.
  6. Option three sounds ideal. We can be rid forever of these incompetants who have debased, shamed and divided the club. Then Neeld can be free to coach without the millstone around his neck.
  7. What I expect from a serial Schwab/Connolly name droper. Shared a cup of tea with them lately?.
  8. So apologists are now going to point the finger to save who's necks?
  9. In these kind of situations witnesses even though they may be collaborators tend to get off lightly or receive outright amnesty if they provide the required evidence to single out the main culprits.
  10. Schwab, McLardy and Connolly. Better start making arrangements to clear your offices. I wonder what the recently departed former leadership group have to say about all this?
  11. Won't give you the pleasure other than I'll take a break for a while. No need to say the same things over and over again. Will return around the time of the AGM at the earliest. Will have new things to say then. See you all then.
  12. Does this club survive on the premise of balancing the books or playing winning football as No 1 priority? Just about every successful business will take on debt in order to grow. For us to grow we have be playing good footy and then the financial rewards will come too. Not charity that we have become dependant upon.
  13. Lets just say he was the spiritual guidance for such selections.
  14. Hmmm, are you sure about that.
  15. These guys were responsible for disastrous polices and strategies that in any reputable organisation private or government should have seen them sacked and disgraced. Having cultural revolutions to mask serious mistakes will only lead to even more disasters. The clean out should have started at the top and not the bottom. We remain damned until these necessary changes are made.
  16. Not surprised at this vituperative abuse. Same posters who screamed at me that Tom Scully was such a great guy, would die for this club, was apple of his dads eye etc; Till the very day he crawled away they belched and spewed forth. How come I never meet these kind at the games? They must be lurking in some crack in the concrete for all I know.
  17. Byrnes being named Best Clubman yet getting only a handfull of games last season says a lot about where his career is heading.
  18. Well Malthouse said earlier this year that Neeld should basically loosen up and have a "love in" with his players to earn back some respect. Too much stick and not enough carrot combined with a game plan no one but Neeld understands. But then again Malthouse did say Neeld would make a great coach did he? As for Lyon, he got a distracted and effette team who were [censored] off with losing Mark Harvey and got them into shape and playing his way seamlessly and almost immediately with minimal changes. Even got primadonna Pavlich buying into his game. And he did the same with the Saints too. Pundits were saying it would go pear shape for Lyon but it didn't. He knows how to earn respect. And Sanderson says hello too. Neeld is more like the proverbial bad tradesman. Blaming his tools for inept work and wanting new ones.
  19. Its going to be long preseason for a guy who can only skip at the moment. More likely to see more of Dawes than Clark on the park next season. But I look forward in 18 months to the likes of Dawes, Clark, Hogan and maybe Pederson weathering like Easter Island statues waiting for our gun midfield to work out who to kick too.
  20. its a long a long time till comes back. Plenty of time for dreaming.
  21. Yeah buy in or bugger off, sounds like this place is turning into a cult. Big mistake getting a novice coach in after all the troubles of the past few seasons. We needed an experienced coach who could come in and do some healing and bridge building. So what is the first thing he does? He gets rid of the previous leadership group. Must be an Einstein to work out they were no good after watching them train for a few months. And he replaces them with teenagers. Those that have have pop star appeal to keep the unquestioning fans happy. Then we are told they were selected by their peers as worthy to lead the club. Absolutely unbelievable porky that one. More like CS pulled the strings here to punish those who stepped on his toes. I would question whether Neeld is his own man or just a stooge. As for our recruiting. I am happy with Hogan. He has a while to go and we paid a premium for him due to our lowly standing. Whether overs or a bargain time will tell. Viney was always coming to us and looks to have the goods. Dawes, I am of the opinion we got him mainly as an insurance policy for Clark and it appears we paid overs though the club denies this. With the history of serial porkies coming from the club I don't believe them. As for the rest, just replacing our duds with other teams duds man for man. So what do we have? A defence less Rivers who to a man can't kick the ball. A midfield that looks like will be pieced together with VFL snails and established players who also can't kick. Now these guys are somehow expected to become productive to serve the hoard of forwards we recruited. Looks like we are going to be more top heavy but painfully slow. As for the game plan, your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps Neeld will finally unveil it now.
  22. A few bad eggs every club has them. They come and they go. But what is happening at our club is different. When the majority of the list is [censored] off then there is a serious problem higher up beyond the playing group and FD. It is beyond the realms of reality that we could have recruited so may losers. I owe an apology to Cameron Bruce. I bagged him when he left but around 186 I came to the realisation to why he he walked and why so many senior and prime draft pick players are are now gone. My word is that more than a few of our so called backbone players remaining are biding their time or just taking the money and don't give a Faark. All goes back to Schwab and his lackeys. They put this club on it soul destroying tanking strategy, meddling with player development and FD issues. Marginalising loyal players and burning recruits. Performance which is the heart and soul of a football club has spiralled down to VFL level. They legitimise themselves on the success of Debt Demolition as justification but which will likely need to be repeated on the back of financial losses this season and next year. When it all goes sour they remove anyone who disagrees. The current coach is now Schwab's No.1 lackey with the culture change mantra. Removed some malcontents and replaced them with has beens and never we're's. Coming in to do Schwab's dirty work to save his new bosses skin. He will never get respect from his players and they will perform in kind. They will get their Karma but at more expense and angst for this club in the meantime.
  23. I was saying Velocity Sports were snake oil salesman over 18 months ago. They should be barred from representing AFL players permanently.
  24. Slavish devotion to bulll and tripe plus owning your own sandpit will get you lots of "like this" ticks here.
