  1. I'd love to see whoever sold the photo outed. Scumbag act of the highest order.
  2. Just seen the scores from our last 5 encounters with WC. Average 70 point loss per game. Funny how the mind shuts out such painful memories. We need to deliver some serious payback. This may be our best chance for a long time.
  3. I saw it on the Adelaide Advertiser website last night.
  4. I read that the son was joking and laughing when arrested. If true he must have been really messed up.
  5. I feel quite positive after our most complete performace for years. We also have to shed the bye curse. The ruck will be a key as midfield first use has been the biggest positive indicator in our past few games. Nik Nat has been in great form but I believe he can struggle against guys with extra height. If Gawn is on his game he should be able to nullify him at least.
  6. The game has changed a lot since then. Flower played mostly out wide on the wing and was a link man type as was played then. The modern version would be an outside midfileder. Had great skills, got a lot of the ball and won most of 1 to 1 contests. Unlike Pendlebury, his game had little influence on our fortunes as we were pretty shyte everywhere else. His career was just about finished when we started getting good in 1987.
  7. A guy that worked for me got into ice. Was a nice polite, studious type for 3 years. Didn't smoke or drink. Then slowly he started acting strange, all wired up and manic. Was getting co-workers offside with his paranoia and verbal aggression and had to go. Only found out he was on ice after he was charged with a serious crime that is in the courts now and also in the news. Ice is the most evil drug around. Has to be stamped out. If there is an ice link in Phil Walsh's murder, I would not be surprised.
  8. I am sure Geelong went with this with all the right intentions but I don't think they will be burdened by many "what if's " in taking the 2 points given their current form and playing over there.
  9. I doubt the synchronised swimmers or any of the other low key sports participants make anything at all. To get to Olympic standard they most likely spent a small fortune of their own or parents money. Huge disparity in reward for effort and success depending on the sport.
  10. Not a bad idea if both clubs agree. To be fair though the game should be transferred to a neutral ground to play for the 8 points. It is round 23 at Skilled Stadium BTW.
  11. Two sons of former Melbourne players debut for Collingwood tonight. Darcy Moore and Braydon Maynard. Sons of Peter Moore and Peter Maynard.
  12. If the players want to go ahead, does winning or losing this weekend really matter?
  13. Very sad and tragic news. As for the round it should go ahead with appropriate respects paid. I'm sure Phil Walsh would have wanted it that way.
  14. Teams that charged out early this season are struggling now. Port, Essendon, GWS and even Freo look a bit flat. A stayers season this year. Is it possible we could repeat 1987?
  15. Then that will on the front page.
  16. Imagine the uproar and pontificating if a player was photographed with a cigarette and shamed on the back page of the HUN or AGE
  17. Yes,And the inability to keep Hogan and Dawes on the park consistently makes him a required player. His form has also been good enough to keep him ahead of Dawes. Will be back for sure.
  18. The biggest health burden is people living too long these days as told to me by my wife who works in the aged care field. Life expectancy is reaching an average of over 90 years for most of us. The biggest burden is medical attention that is keeping people living that long and makes the health industry rich. Even the healthiest will have at least 20 years of ever increasing medical needs once passing 70. At least smokers and drinkers pay their way with taxes.
  19. If all player vices were uncovered and punished, there will be a high standard prison competition to rival the AFL.
  20. It is surprising the resilience of the members after that pathetic let down.As bad as we ever were. Numbers are not too bad but with a solid season finish we would have over 40,000 for sure this year.
  21. I don't give a fark what players do in their private lives as long as they don't cheat with PEDS, gamble on their game, beat up on their partners or molest kids. Nannyism is getting out of control.
  22. Now I get it, the players were injected with propaganda all along.
  23. Our average number of members per win is very impressive indeed.
  24. Why is anyone surprised? The superstar discount is always factored into suspensions.
  25. You forgot the...... oi oi, oi!
