"Jurrahās mixed feelings ahead of Deesā grand final" - Age article
I hadn't heard that Jurrah started drinking on that trip, but yes, I was aware of Gawn's Yawn. HWMNBN had already returned home, before the game took place... he wasn't even at the previous day's training session.

"Jurrahās mixed feelings ahead of Deesā grand final" - Age article
I'd argue that his marking in general play was not so much grace as, because of the way he would land with his legs straight, a hyper-extension waiting to happen. But a brilliant, naturally gifted player. I saw him win the demo game against the Lions in Shanghai, pretty much off his own boot.

āWeāve got a special bondā: Hibberd playing for the Essendon 34 - and his brother
Ridiculous⦠surely you must understand how the media works. He has most likely been fed a line of questioning relating to the Essendon 34 and unwittingly answered āyesā, giving the ājournoā a byline and theme for the resultant article.

Medals for All?
I agree that any player who ran out on the ground for the club during the season, should be rewarded with a medal; they all contributed to getting us to the big dance (not just the 22 fortunate enough to take the field that day). Thereās probably even an argument for ALL players on the list getting a medal, as itās a team game, and they are all part of the team and they all contributed in one way or another.

Paul Kelly's song for Eddie Betts; for all of Indigenous background
Hope this is acceptable on this forum as it applies as much to our indigenous players as it does to Eddie alone... in a word, incredible!! Every Step of the Way Tonight I went out from the kitchen And looked up at the stars from the yard I was hoping to get some perspective But sometimes perspective is hard I know my life is a blessing And all blessings come with a curse My enemies I know I can handle But friends now, well, they can be worse Oh, Iām so sick and tired of keeping it inside Iām so sick and tired today I remember the old onesā hard travelling Theyāre with me every step of the way Thousands smile when I go through my paces They fall at my dancing feet They like to slap my back in high places They want to shake my hand on the street Oh, I love my beautiful children They clamber and climb all over me I close my eyes and Iām dreaming Of a world where they can just be Iām so sick and tired of keeping it all inside Iām so sick and tired today I remember the old onesā hard travelling Theyāre with me every step of the way The old ones are walking beside me Each and every step of the way

Thanks Jonesy - Retirement
Well, I believe the medical sub gets one as well, regardless of whether he is activated or not. My thoughts have always been that the players who have taken the field at any stage during the year, have, even in small part, contributed to the club being able to play in a GF. Ive nothing but admiration for Jonesy and how he has stuck fat with the club through the worst of times.

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
Expect the floodgates to open on sites like Gumtree and even on Demons Facebook pages.

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
I can't recall what the times were for tickets to go on sale, but do remember they were staggered by priority... so is it possible that they are not yet on sale? EDIT: just saw DCs post above... they are sold out.

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
This actually got me thinking. For any here who gave their barcodes out last week for people in WA wanting to attend the Prelim, is there a chance that they have then gone on to give them out to others who have come on here requesting codes for the GF, and so there may be a few people fighting for GF tickets using the same barcode? Could be interesting, particularly if there was money changing hands involved š

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
I think the seller thinks that they are getting away with it because of the $1544 'handling fee'.
-
TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
It certainly is, but I am not in the least bit surprised... that is on Gumtree and is just one of many.

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
I hope that this isnāt where the barcodes given in good faith here, are ending upā¦

Who presents the Cup if we win?
What's stopping them from having Gaz present it, with Barrassi and Daniher (and Jones?) saying a few words via video link to the main video screen on the scoreboard?
