  1. 6 Hibberd

    5 T Mac

4 O Mac (did we see the breakout last week leading to a full breakout game today?)

    3 Salem

    2 Watts

    1 Garlett (great pressure)

Boy there are many who are stiff not to vote. Goody deserves many votes including the call on Gawn for a week.

Special mention Bugg who got under their skin early (pre game) and is becoming a real pest.

Dogs play Etihad better than anyone. I reckon it'll be a tough game. The boys have to be 100% on. They were rusty last week due to the bye but came back strong. I predict a very solid hit out and a 5 goal win ?

We play Etihad as well as anyone.  Funny we know say that but its a sign of what Goody likes to say about the past and this group being on its own journey (as much as i don't like that term). Game will be won on who can run it out better and applies that most pressure. Interesting game the coaches are from the same mould. I hope we are hungry for the win. What I love these days is as supporters we go into game with a real expectations and the game is never lost. 30 points down means nothing we can still win. I bet next year we have less graveyard shift games. Why seven would not broadcast this is beyond belief, we have been involved in some of the best games this year.

    Go dees

    My favourite from an irate Pies fan suggesting they pull out of QB all together;

"So I gather by everybody thoughts here I'm not the only one, we owe Neale Daniher nothing, they can [censored] off and use another club like they use and our massive following, I've had a gut full of this stuff, Collingwood are stupid to let another club to pump them up to the detriment of our team and 4 points each year, the AFL don't want us to spoil the party, those lady 3 mins today told a huge story, it was the BIG FIX, something needs to change, the booing for the maggots as they walked off today was massive, loud and longwe could all see it, yet they treat us as stupid"

    Enough said really ?

Ok I should not bite but if I could post on whatever site this came from Id make this loser watch this video.

"we owe daniher nothing." What a jerk. Someone in the future will owe him their life.

Sermon over I have been seething on that all day.

I would be wary of bringing Gawn back this weekend.  Etihad is notorious for being harsher on soft tissue, so I'd rest him for another week at least, and potentially the week after, so his first game back is the Sydney game on the MCG.  Same with Hoges.

Spencer is more than adequate for the next two weeks.

Agree. Its where he did the hamstring to start with and it seems he is pushing (which is to be applauded) in circumstances where the usual course would be a bit longer.

I see a lot of merit in a hit out at Casey for a few quarters to see how the injury responds to match conditions. We need him fit for the rest of the year.

Replacing a bloke called Bugg who would struggle to kick a goal if the world depoended on it!

Kicked 2.1. Ok, a soccer shot and a play on near the goal when he realised he had to do a set shot.

At the moment he can't kick a set shot however did offer more than a few others. I recall a period last year when Jeffy had problems with the set shot. We also forget that our co captain Viney is not that good on a set shot. Can only hope it clicks for him.

  6. A simple no. We have sufficient ruck stocks if you eliminate our back luck and the fact we have others coming through. If he were the type of player who might help teach our young forwards (Hogan and Weeds) it would be worth a thought but I dont see him being like Jordan Lewis (an on field teacher and leader).

I'd bring in JKH - 43 touches at VFL - he is BACK BABY!

I know there is not a lot of love for JHK but he went back and performed, got to hand it to him he is determined to make a go of it.

Spencer in for mine so Pedo can prop up forward.

  8. I like the Omac forward idea. Tmac is not a forward (a sentiment I shouted at my TV for a half of football and fortunately either my TV is two way or the coaches read my comment on the game day thread). We looked better with Tmac taking some of the ruck duties releasing Pedo forward and thus giving us some structure. Omac would offer more than Weeds and create a real contest with the benefit for our smalls and taking pressure of Hogan should he return.

Out: Wagner or Bugg (unless he promises not to take the set shot).

    In: Salem (possibly Hogan)

  9. I really think the Weed should be retained but concede he may be the one to give way for Hogan.

If Hunt is an out i'd prefer Melksham to Harmes. He may be a better foil for Hibbert off half back.

Anyone who is left out after that win would be mighty stiff.
