  1. Personal attacks on individuals yes. I think the team as a whole deserve every home truth they hear. They are a disgrace, as a collective.
  2. Okay good, just clarifying.
  3. A bit of context though. This is the comment Magner has reacted aggressively towards: "The entire team should be forced to watch a replay of yesterdays game. It's embarrassing to be Melbourne supporter at the moment..." Pretty inoffensive, just honest. There are a hundred better, smarter, more positive ways that Magner could've responded to one of HIS fans than the one he chose.
  4. Amen Striker.
  5. Seriously needs to be bigger than that. Dopey. Just let them run out to the Benny Hill theme next week. It will set things up nicely and reflects what the club is about right now.
  6. Speaking of Barassi, maybe he can help in some way. Shouldn't have to but these are pretty desperate times. Maybe the great man can inspire them.
  7. Mods deserve some credit for giving free reign to vent without locking threads and deleting posts.
  8. lol..you're a real card 316.
  9. He's convinced the players they are a clean slate with everything to learn. They've clearly believed it, because they're playing like it.
  10. Further to that, there's the argument Neeld's had one legitimate win. That win was earned LARGELY on the back of poor kicking for goal on the part of Essendon. There's an argument for zero legitimate, well coached wins against respectable opposition. Royal is useless. Our midfield is absolutely deplorable.
  11. If we have another year like the last one, no chance I'll be paying up again. Responsibility has to be taken at some stage. We're clearly inept, but I'll pay up for yet another year to give them yet another chance to right the ship.
  12. Good to see you're alive and kicking OD. Really difficult to dispute that. Hope is fading on this once mighty club, but while there's life, there's hope. The biggest problem I see is that the wrong people are trying to lead us out of the abyss.
  13. Just made a similar observation in another thread. Can't even enjoy this, just thinking about the chasm between these teams and ours. I hate supporting this club some days. Most days.
  14. I've renewed my membership, against my better judgement.
  15. Anyone get depressed watching other teams now? I'm watching Hawks v Geelong, one of the best fixtures on the footy calendar, and am struggling to enjoy it. All I can think of is how far behind we are from these teams. Light years.
  16. There is a sense of helplessness. I've written to them and phoned them. I want to do more. I won't be paying money to watch that garbage this year, not until it impoves dramatically. I'm protesting with my feet in that sense.
  17. McKenzie, Byrnes and Dawes says it all.
  18. One caller doesn't think Watts would be worth a fourth round pick. Slight overreaction.
  19. Covered that on page 1. You're gonna need to bring more than that to the table.
  20. Omg, another Port fan phoning in saying "what about us?". [censored] off.
  21. lol @ the Port fan phoning in. "No-one thought we could win". 90% of the experts picked Port.
  22. Ask him jokingly. If he doesn't choke on his food, we're in.
  23. I feel desperately sorry for Chippa. A player of his quality should be experiencing much better times than this garbage. Frankly I wouldn't blame him for leaving now. I remember an interview with him several years ago where he spoke of just being "sick of losing". He looked angry and dejected THEN. I can only imagine what his mindset is NOW. For those who question his form, think about the time he's been here. Losing is a cancer that has consumed the club and he's been one of the worst hit. Without a major change, and fast, he should get out so he can actually enjoy the back end of his career.
  24. All three were responsible for the three most comically bad incidents of the match. Sellar's Dawes-esque dropped chest mark, Pedersen's swatting at the ball instead of marking it, and Gillies' "rushed" behind. Three players who would not get a game literally anywhere but here.
