I agree with these changes, but Toumpas to start the game. M Jones as sub to provide some run towards the end.
-
So in summation, it was a [censored] week. Very promising re Michie though. Just need to drill the defensive game into him which on current evidence is something of a Roos speciality.

Four kids, Nash? And yet you seem so calm and collected.
-
Nothing to do with being a moral warrior. It just happens to be absolute idiocy to suggest that the birth of your first born child is "not worth missing a game of footy over".

He is averaging 6.1 tackles per game, a career high. You can only admire a guy like Crossy. Forget the white. He looks great in just red and blue.
-
Correct, and I'm predicting that's what will happen.
-
True. On purely face value, I don't agree with the comments at all. But I take into account what you've said. Especially with the AFL media.

Nev Jetta's family racially abused at Bulldogs game...
P-man replied to hardtack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The moment he was identified he should've been taken to an interview room. Either a bad procedural breakdown or the wrong procedure. Lifetime bans for these idiots. Nothing less. -
Fair comment. There is however what he was quoted as saying, and his 3/4 address. I am only judging on the former, with merely referral to the latter based on what the majority observed. But you're right in that it is under the assumption those quotes are accurate.

Strange comment. I'm basing on Welsh's direct quotes in the media. That's not hearsay. No more lovers tiffs. I'm done with Saty. Doesn't get it, never will, and will never be corrected. I will look forward to his training reports as always, and turn a blind eye to his other contributions. Not worth these derailments. I am guilty of reacting so I will stop doing that.

Nev Jetta's family racially abused at Bulldogs game...
P-man replied to hardtack's topic in Melbourne Demons
"We were told that the abuse was reported at the time and that the perpetrator was monitored but due to an error he was not ejected by the security company. Subsequent efforts by the staff of the MCC to identify this person by CCTV footage, and by review of the ticketing records, have not so far proved successful." How can this occur if he was being monitored? A very disappointing outcome if this individual has gotten off scot free. -
Except, that isn't what Welsh said. His wording was of a ridiculing nature and points towards what others have said in questioning his coaching methods. It's just foolish to come out and publicly ridicule players wanting to get back into the senior side. If reports of his 3/4 address are correct, then he has a lot to learn about how to motivate people. Please don't sit here and pretend like you don't attack posters who are critical of individuals. No matter how reasonable, you are the attack dog insinuating that the poster is either irrational or naive. You do it constantly and despite repeated attempts from numerous posters to ask you to check yourself, you keep doing it. I can't be bothered anymore. You're either too stubborn or too light on upstairs to reflect on your own conduct here.

Believe it or not, I also attend games so am not restricted to what I read on here. Amazing, I know. I've never called him a "list clogging spud", but there was a lot of evidence to point towards him being a list clogger. He was useless under Neeld. Would a lesser coach have been able to extract it out of Pedo? Doubtful. But he's clearly worked hard and is following instruction to the letter, so good on him. Seems a nice guy too. You are incapable of criticising players. You are incapable of being able to distinguish between critique and abuse. Others are not.

I don't remember it being this instant with Howe, and he certainly wouldn't get the commentators buzzing with his first touch of the footy. I'm predicting he is going to be every bit as important as Howe in terms of putting the club on people's radar.
-
I love the buzz that is already generating over this fella, including outside of club circles. It is palpable. Been a long while since a Melbourne draftee that ISN'T a first round pick has created this sort of excitement.
-
Right decision. Dawes playing in QB is a must. Was probably worth a week too tbh.
-
It is patently obvious why his comments were out of line. It went beyond a "spray". He publicly ridiculed them for sooking it up over not getting picked. What the conduct of tigers supporters has to do with anything, I don't know. They are infamous for their extremes in behaviour. If you're suggesting from your high chair that demon supporters are as volatile as tiger supporters, I would disagree. Your comments on Neeld are a laugh. You vehemently defended him to the hilt, right up until him being sacked, and gave everyone who questioned his methods your usual fanboy routine. Re Pedersen, who has claimed they "always knew he was a good player"? I've seen comments admitting they underestimated his value. Praising Roos for getting the best out of him. Etc etc. I haven't seen any claiming they always knew he was good. You live in this delusional world where everyone here is irrational and you're the only one with your head screwed on. When will you get it into your head that this is a forum for people capable of critical thought. Not a 24/7 cheer squad.
-
I was responding to you, once again, making this about the supporters being unreasonable, whilst the club and anyone associated with it is infallible. I think I made my position on the matter pretty clear.
-
The fact you can't draw a distinction between honesty from the club and an affiliate coach blasting the players in this manner says a lot about your thought process. Anyone without some weird messiah complex can see that Welsh's comments were out of line.

Not you mate. I meant the poster H_T. From memory he is an Abbott sympathiser.
-
Be that as it may, even the Murdoch machine can't mask their mushroom readership from this. They have time, but it will take a miracle for the Coalition to turn around the disenchantment over the breakdown of trust. Gillard got crucified over the carbon tax, so the fallout from this is going to hang around for a long time to come. Abbott and Hockey have all but destroyed their chances of re-election with this budget.
-
Probably not at the next election? I'll be stunned if they are not booted out. We will officially be the dumbest nation on the planet if we vote for this wrecking ball to have another 3 years at systematically tearing apart everything that's great about this country.
-
I want 40K. That's what PJ asked for and that's what he should get.
-
There are a lot of individual stories of the season so far, but the two main ones for me are Pedo and Dunn. His position in the backline is now cemented imo. Very happy for him.
-
Oh boy, there are some truly cringeworthy posts in here. But I won't quote them cause I'm nice like that. Is anyone going to front up to defend this budget? Amazingly, Robbie has turned on him, now that Tony has asked him to pay a bit extra in tax. So he's out. Benny is gone, but I'm sure he would solider on defending it like every rusted on Abbott supporter with referral to the budget "emergency" that doesn't exist. HT perhaps? Anyone at all? Or are we all agreed that this is the most deceitful and reckless budget from any government in recent memory. Certainly the polls now suggest that. To hell with Abbott's hateful ideology of widening the gaps in our society, and to hell with his brazen lies and hypocrisy. I hope he gets booted unceremoniously, be it by his own party or the electorate, and his Prime Ministership viewed for the black mark on our history that it has already become. I will quote one post. This is what I wrote in August of last year, so Lib voters now having regrets, you can't say you weren't told.
