  1. See what happens when you move the [censored] ball???
  2. This is just rinse and repeat stuff.
  3. Abysmal, abysmal footy.
  4. Woeful start. We can't move the ball with any fluency at all.
  5. We just had to draw the Saints first. We play them now and we win by 10 goals.
  6. Doesn't just come down to FA to me, OD. Can you honestly say that you believe Sylvia gave everything he could? Like Jonesy? Or Garlo? Even Dawes has shown he cares more about the jumper in his short time at the club. To me he was someone who cared more about being a footballer and the perks that come with it than making the club better. Never a leader. Just an unfulfilled talent. I don't hate him, but if someone like Frawley leaves under FA, he'll leave with more respect from me than Sylvia did, that's for sure.
  7. It's worrying no doubt. Did ANY of them stand up in the last quarter? Would be interested to know who did because the scoreline indicates very few. Hard to admit that some of these guys, perhaps many, are just not up to it.
  8. Wtf? How did they crumble so badly at the end?? Numerous players with everything to play for makes an effort like that very disheartening.
  9. When you consider that a couple of their players are worth enough to buy our entire squad, that was a terrific performance, especially the second half. Unlucky not to get a point out of it in the end.
  10. Pretty good get for SBS to have Martin Tyler commentating. Now if they can just sync it up with the actual play we'll be laughing. Martin was telling us it was a goal before the ball had gone in the net.
  11. Really should win this game. They are ripe for the picking. McKenzie, Riley and Kent are all good ins. Will be a team that is more than capable of getting the job done.
  12. Hang your head in shame billy!!
  13. Hence why I am running another tally which counts 10 random contributions each week as opposed to 3.
  14. RIP People's Poet. A true comedy legend.
  15. I can't think of a single one.

  17. Fmd..I must've missed the moment when Terlich became an untouchable at the selection table.
  18. Dunny and Nev - always had your back boys. Pedo - I'm sorry for screaming blue murder at your contract extension. I now hope you stay even longer.
  19. I am also now thinking that Riley would be a very handy in against the Bombers. They don't react well to tackling pressure, and the Pigdog will give them no relief. If JKH gets rested as seems very possible based on Roos' post match comments, Riley to come in.
  20. I would agree to an extent. The week before his defensive game was praised, so it would seem the main basis for your attitude towards him is his performance the following week. Pending on the write up this week, there may well be a consistency issue, but on the whole it would seem that he is building and has put his hand up. A lot of the post match comments were lamenting the lack of a quality distributor in the back half. We just may have one brewing here. Personally, I'd like to see him given his chance sooner rather than later. You see it differently which is fine, so long as you are keeping an open mind.
  21. It's both. Blease doesn't stuff around with the ball. His first instinct is to get it going forward and by the sounds of it he's using it a lot better.
  22. Nash - interesting you read it that way. I read those reviews as that of a player who is slowly building momentum. The "major lapses" reference was back in Round 4. Sure he needs to work on his defensive game, but even if he isn't the MOST defensively minded player, we have plenty who are. We need a few weapons to break the lines. The lack of them was horribly exposed on the weekend.
  23. He has been named amongst the bests several times, and again on the weekend, with Paul Amy writing: "Sam Blease’s run out of defence and the bullocking work of Luke Tapscott, Aiden Riley and Smith were other highlights". He was also leading possession getter. What to your knowledge has he been asked to do then, and to what extent is he not doing what's been asked of him? I will agree it is unlikely given Roos minimal changes week to week, but I'd like to see him given his opportunity as he provides assets that we lack, and the fact is he hasn't been as poor as you are making out. At all. Dunn's name was mud on this site for a very long time. Nev Jetta also. Those people look a bit silly now, by their own admission. Need to be wary of just casting players aside, Nash.
