  1. Unfortunately just the way it is. The big names get leniency and always will.
  2. The great man acknowledged that getting rid of Junior was a mistake. I can't understand those who continue to defend it. It was clearly a mistake. Was a good interview. I love how genuine he is about everything.
  3. I get why the goal is being hyped up because of the shrugging of tackles in a confined space, the angle, and the circumstances in the context of the game. But I agree that it was a miracle floater. I genuinely think Jenkins goal is still GOTY . There aren't many players in the league who could do that.
  4. Roosy highlighted on 360 the after effects of the Bail rushed behind decision, with Dunn being unsure of what to do under pressure which resulted in another goal. At least two or three goals all on the back of one terrible decision.

  6. Far be it that I would question the wisdom of Roosy, but I'd rather he didn't tell a room full of media that we don't have enough talent. I mean everyone knows and can see that we don't have enough talent, but surely he needs to have the players believing that we do have enough talent. He said he believed in the list at the season opener. If he wouldn't say it to the players' faces, then don't say it. Just my view.
  7. Another guarantee on Demonland is someone jumping on their high horse to cast judgement on others, as if everyone bar them is an overly emotional, reactive wreck. I don't begrudge others the right to be shitty over our drafting. Let's face it. The stagnation of Toumpas is rubbing salt into an already open wound. We desperately needed to nail that pick after our horrid history, and right now it's being kind to say that the jury is out. Watts had an alright game, but just as some are too willing to bash him, there are some who are overly defensive of him. He was okay, and at times he was very good. He had some disappointing moments where you'd expect better from a player with his skills and he still struggles one on one. Frawley might have kept Liam jones quiet, but Liam Jones is no star. His constant indecisiveness said to me that his head wasn't in it. I could be wrong. Some of those player Bs do seem to have done enough, if the match reviews are anything to go by. Blease and Tapscott have it within them to be good AFL players. They have shown enough consistency to be given a chance before we sign their papers and ship them off, and I'd be very surprised if at least one of them isn't granted theirs next week. I think everyone is aware that we are still a long way off being a decent side.
  8. The umpiring was woeful but both teams were on the end of it.
  9. Saints will get the spoon. At this stage we'll do well to avoid 17th. We are not playing well. At all.
  10. I'm now with titan on Garland who needs a spell. Had a stinker every week since returning. Team needs a change up with Blease and Tapscott looking to have done enough to get an opportunity. If they leave and flourish at another club without getting a chance this year it would be devastating. Matt Jones and Bail aren't future prospects imo and should be making way for those that are, starting now. Jones stays another week because we are starved for run and carry. This many changes are unlikely, but I wouldn't complain: In: Blease, Tapscott, JKH, McKenzie, Georgiou Out: Terlich (inj), Bail, Salem, Nicholson, Garland
  11. Couldn't agree more. Amazing that he isn't getting votes. If Libba gets off the chain we are not in that game. Roos is all about "playing your role". No-one did theirs better.
  12. 6. Jamar 5. Howe 4. Viney 3. Vince 2. Gawn 1. Grimes Jetta very unlucky.
  13. It was far from his only blunder. But he wasn't alone. He still gets outmuscled too often for his size, and he needs to keep his damn feet.
  14. I've got no voice left and I'm expecting the neighbours round at any moment to check that everything is okay. Brutally disappointing. Sloppy ball use and dumb decisions again and again and again. And again. Umps were terrible but they were terrible for both sides. Incorrect disposal of the footy apparently no longer exists which is an interesting development. Frawley is going at 60% and it is showing. He is gone and while he is in the side we have a passenger. That said, Frawley at 60% is probably as good or better than anyone to take his spot. Garland on the other hand is just badly underdone and needs a spell in the twos. Matt Jones tries hard but will never be good enough for this level. His decision making is as bad as anyone we have. We cleaned up the defensive stoppages which cost goals last time we played the Dogs but this time it was poor decisions under pressure in the defensive 50 that cost goals, and Dunn, Frawley and Garland were the prime offenders. Watts got a pass mark overall but typically it was a case of class being evened out by some horrid mistakes and missing a gimme goal that we badly needed. He also still struggles time and again to keep his feet. The positives.. Big tick for the tall timber in Gawn and Jamar who will be getting votes this week. Kept us in it with their contested marking and kicking majors in the effective absence of Dawes who had his worst game as a Demon. Viney is a star. Was clearly given a role and executed it to perfection. Kept Libba quiet for the best part of the day and and was typically ferocious at the coalface. Vince is in a good run of form. Grimes had one of his better days at both ends of the ground. Nate Jones had far from his best day but fought hard. Love the way Nev Jetta plays. Attacks the ball and the man like his life depends on it and he is reasonably clean by foot. Overall it was there to be won but a horrendous first quarter was too costly in the end. We are still very much a bottom four side but the the defensive structures are being instilled and the will to win is getting stronger. Unfortunately, poor skills and decisions can't be corrected overnight.
  15. Dom Barry on. Good luck son.
  16. We are winning practically every stat. Amazing turnaround that we MUST MUST MUST bring home now.
  17. Reasonably fair. He has looked more composed than most out there.
  18. And with that we take the lead lol
  19. Garland has to be dropped. He's completely out of sorts.
