  1. Provided the team gets it's collective [censored] together, we'd be a decent chance to beat Adelaide and St Kilda... except that they are both away games. I'd like to say the Pies as well, but they're too damn good grrrrr.
  2. muhuohahahahahaha post #666 lolz But yeah, excellent point about the excitement. BTW can we close this monster now that the Second Coming is upon us?
  3. Sorry Steamin', didn't mean at all to shoot you down, I was just hoping for the sake of our viewing pleasure that you are mistaken and Watts is playing this week. Your info does sound very credible. Like I said, my post made little to no sense. My bad.
  4. Let's hope he lasts more than 2 years playing with us...
  5. Sounds genuine, but the optimist in me says: why would JW tell random fans whether or not he's playing before the teams come out? If he is playing this week, he'd be told to keep it on the DL. Hence, he's either straight-out lying or telling the truth. Makes sense i guess... lol. Average post from me, really. Went round in circles. Sorry for wasting your time.
  6. Let's just hope we're not looking like the next Melbourne Storm... Junior is on the Veterans' list, hence his retirement only frees up a spot on the rookie list, not the senior list.
  7. Kicked 4 at Casey today, seems he had a great game - including a contested mark + goal from outside 50, and a one-hander running back with the flight. Get him in the team!
  8. Didn't hear that but it makes sense... i reckon DB will, after today's efforts, find it quite easy to say "well he's been performing consistently" to the media when in fact he was average last week. Details can be glossed over. Should be in the team against Port if not the Eagles IMO.
  9. My thoughts exactly. Whoever decided they should wear pink should be sent to Siberia.
  10. Haha great hit. Rising Star Nomination- lock it in. Won't be topped - pretty much impossible to beat you'd reckon.
  11. Maybe it's a team balance thing: can't really have Joel Mac, Grimes and Bruce (3 x HBF) in the same team, esp. since Bruce won't need to play on Johnno this time round. Also Rivers and Bartram could fit into that category. He'll be back soonish, you'd think.
  12. Had me convinced it was real... very good effort if it is altered. I was thinking he must have come to train with the team over his summer holidays or something. Either way, it's a great sight. Looks fairly built for a 15-yr-old as well (more so in the previous article).
  13. Good to see... did anyone catch the game? Is Wonna a chance for Casey 1's next week?
  14. too bad we have the lowest number of teams by far... too many oldies lol
  15. Trengove = TRENNNNNNN in my books - just whenever he gets the ball. Same for Scully - SCULLLLLLLLLLL. Purely because they are both class. Grimes is just an almost-orgasmic "oh yeah" or "Yes." whenever he goes near it. Watts = Killa according to Jones' twitter - as in, I presume, "200 kilowatts... 200 killer wasps?!!?!?" add about that car. Any idea why Moloney is Beamer?
  16. Fixed. Although when Brad gets delisted, that becomes a problem.
  17. Agree with OP. My words from BF: Not sure about those words from Scott. I wouldn't call finishing last twice in a row 'fortunate'. And I also lol at their choosing Hansen and Tarrant... if you're 'fortunate' enough to have pick 3, do some decent recruiting like we have done. Indeed, it's BP (and Craig Cameron) who have done the hard yards in recruiting - Bennell, Jetta, Bail, Jurrah, Martin and other late picks being the evidence of that. And neither is our footy 'just' reflective of our talent... not entirely at least. More to the point is that the more senior players have shifted up a few gears this year. Our team is not yet full of talented youngsters, even if our playing list is. And you don't need the best skills to lay ferocious tackles. Shoosh Brad. Also, that sportal article is much better, shame on you afl site.
  18. The disclaimer at the end (he's a Dees fan) made it all legit. But the point about the fairweather fans is so true... my mate and me were sitting in the MCC before the Richmond game, and couldn't help but notice the amount of young families and old farts (complete with packed lunches, thermoses, blankets) compared to the week before. We didn't like it, and swearing black and blue, as usual during the game, was just not the same with such different neighbours. Sure, it's awesome financially for the club, but Week 1 of the Bandwagon made us long for a return to the days of the 20,000 die-hard tragics.
  19. Hahaha wouldn't it be ironic if Junction Oval burnt down after we moved out... that's a great mental image there.
  20. mate, love the little Obi-Wan quote sig, only just noticed it... classic. Well played.

  21. Wow, that was harsh all round. Some parts have merit, but some glaring holes exist. CBF exploring said holes further.
