Sheedy kept him back for a bit longer than what people thought was needed to get him 100% as opposed to 80 or 90? not that tyhey are the same type of player but I hope you catch my drift.

Newton (yes i was at sandy on sunday but only for the 1st half) I can see where he might need a few more matches at sandy for confidence, he kicked 6 but there was many times I thought he could have done more. 1 or 2 dropped catchable marks, 1 or 2 times e could have gone to the contest, 1 or 2 times he could have chased. They all add up, not that he is not capable of any of them just being confident in his own ability to attack the ball or the person with it. Or maybe he is just trying to hard... im not a footy coach so I cant say. But maybe leaving him at sandy for another 2 or 3 weeks would be good for him but then there may not be a better chance than now to see if he can put his hand up and say this is what I want.

im still surprised that Garland got a run with Melb before Juice did... in the absence of nietz and giving kids a shot you would have thought he would have been a chance... oh well... i might potter down to sandy today for a bit of a look

It wont happen but I like it. Shows a strong hand from the coaches position, gives a few chances (on different levels), shows the coach at least is trying to get the mix right.

After considering our list, I don't want him for what it would cost in comparison to what he would bring to the list. Besides he wont improve our list as much as say a champion CHF... I would even settle for one that could kick 20-30 goals a year and provide a target. All that said, if he walks on the Eagles, demands to come to Melbourne and we get him cheap, ok! Trying to get this into perspective for some people (mainly my self), Back in the day if it was suggested that we trade Jollly, Thomo Woe and Farmer for one player what would have been the responce? What about if we were to trade the net sum of what we got for the previously mentioned players? Is it considered the same value?

nice read but how did CJ get missed being listed in the best? thaught he was a stand out and deffinatly had more pace than i have given him credit for in the past.
