Not weird, just different and interesting (to some). With the new emblem, jumpers etc I personally love the way the club seems to finally be re branding it's self (with great consideration to it's heritage), using unique ideas within it's marketplace that appeal to all age groups. In this, 3 demons, may also be in order to appeal to multiple age groups, a kiddies one, a more fierce for us middle agers, and possibly something from our heritage or with a purple rinse and walking stick... but still a family group?

Good to see GC17 has been able to sufficiantly stir up a large amount of paranoia to blead over to GWS (as demonstrated by this thread). If he was to go anywhre, I would proffer it to not be GWS as any other team would probably have to pay overs for a #1 draft pick.

yze_magic will be drunk for the next week hearing that news. still, I will miss yelling BRUCE when he gets the ball.... even with questions over his skill, he was still one of my most fave players. RIP CB

The SUB issue is an interesting one... There would be a school of thought that you may train players differently who will be used in this role so instead of 1 sub, maybe you will have a subset of the list of possible subs, but ger their training more towards being "impact" players where they are more likley to be prepared more for just half a game rather than a full one. Likewise, there would be the school of thought re "dont change anything" just train normally but have the sub there for either if somone gets injured or if somone is really down on a day. Then there is the issue of do you look to sub like for like? do you hamstring your self if you have a tall as a sub? Without deciding the phylosophy, it could be difficult to make an informed choice. Assuming we go with value and a form of risk management my prefference would be to have a utility as the sub so you dont lose to much and cover all bases so maybe a Bruce/Bate/Gys/Morton type (pending matchups)?

Just on the Newton / PJ subject.... is it me or IF Newton could kick straight %70 of the time, he could be a handy 2-3 goal a week forward / ruck man? IMO He is a better mark but not as good a kick as PJ whos marking made me so angry last weekend...
