  1. Funny, while it's in the past, that article got me pretty pumped! Only hope it has twice the affect on the players. Is it Saturday yet?
  2. I watch at southern cross Woden... almost got kicked out during the collingwood game (was a little to vocal) might have to give ainslie a try!
  3. So all this thread is doing is showing just how much people want a key position forward or 2 so we may get better reward for bumbs into the forward line under pressure? FWIW: I think a better comparisons should be Jack Watts vs Scully and Nic Nat vs Trengove (mainly as hypothetically we may not have gotten JT if we had taken NN... so maybe that should be NN vs Scully & JT?)
  4. waiting to be flamed.... but.... cant kick?
  5. trade a mid for a mid? I am confused... bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush so to say
  6. Jurrah to get the #1 kpp defender? maybe we should play him down back to break the tag... well... if we wernt tanking
  7. wish there was a radio web cast
  8. I picked him for our rookie #1... oh well, was close. Still rather excited to have him down. Assuming he settles in there could be some magic added to the mix.
  9. dont forget Bruce and while im here ill put a vote in for Rockcliff as PSD #1 and Liam Jurrah as Rookie #1 (order subject to change...)
  10. Shane is going somewhere? Yes he played well last year for his 1st season and for what it's worth if he continues in the same vain he should be ok for another development year, he is still on the list, it's not like we have delisted hime. (If i recall correctly, it is now possible to play rookies in a limited number of games during the year due to senior players being injured etc?) ANY WAY looking forward he could be a proven (if not quite as good) replacement for someone like Junior when holes in the list open up at the end of next year, especially when the draft will be further compromised. This draft in particular is are about getting as much youth and the best talent onto the list as possible, on the current market. Why hamstring our selves in minimizing the best possible pics for someone who we have any way in a year where it is doubtful he will make any impact in the run to the finals? Yes it's only the PSD and rookie drafts and can be something of a raffle, but I still like to be able to have first pick of my lucky numbers even then.
  11. #1 Watts. This one's easy. #17 Swift is worth the punt here #19 Shoenmakers! not Cornelius maybe Lisle (fwiw Cornelius just reminds me of a short 426 great hands but...) Shoenmakers just looks smooth and that he has some time which is good in a big man
  12. with tanking next year and getting pick 1,2,18 we will be basing our self's on hawthorn
  13. Robo for Colman medal next year and the square will be complete.
  14. how does all this fuss compare to when we got Jeff white?
  15. why not tak nic nat this year, then get watts not to nominate and then tank again next year for wats and butcher with pic 1 & 2????
  16. I think people are being a bit narrow sighted in relation to delistings. due to the HUGE list turn over in the last 2 years, when looking ahead to next year but probably more the year after, it becomes difficult assuming the whole list develops and shows a bit to see who we can fit into showing the door. I think a little forward planing and keep carrol up our sleeve as a retirement at the end of next year may take the presure out of having to delist somone simply cos we are required to have something like 3 pics in the draft.
  17. 4th win of the season (all be it i hope not).... if i'm this excited after the year we have had then I hate to think what the players are like... will be jumping out of their skin! interchange for mine... grimes, morton, wheatly, holland
  18. I have seen him a couple of time and just cant get my head around him being a ruckman... he looks like an over sized utility, played back forward and on the wing. amusingly for the amount of times I have seen sandy this year and the pre season game against the dog I can only recall once or twice where I saw him actually in the center square at a ball up so maybe there is a plan outside of rucking for him?
  19. should look to get someone like nintendo on board to go hand in hand with a game like Wii Kick... hell even to promote Wii fit a bit more... ok so i'm dreaming... but hell, they are swimming in the $$, of all the big gaming players they are the ones least targeting core gamers and are mainly interested in casual gamers.
  20. I like the though behind it, while it's obviously not a hard and fast way to tell where people are at ie: Silv has been struggling to stay injury free with the OP and be fully fit and at the other end of the spectrum you have selwood it's still a reasonable way to bring things into perspective.
  21. I remember this game being played on the main oval at scotch back when i was at school... had to rotate around the oval clockwise at the end of each quarter so the 2 schools supporters didn't run into each other... defiantly no love lost between the 2 schools. ill be there as soon as i can get away from work.
