Goody Presser (27/6)
Yes, it's bizarre. Most here wouldn't even hire a plumber without being assured that they knew what they were doing. Yet at an elite sports club, with huge $$$ on the line, we're supposed to believe that the highly paid, highly specialised and highly credential medical and fitness staff we work with don't know what they're doing. (Though just to say, it's the doctors who rule on medical conditions and injuries, not the fitness staff.)

Goody Presser (27/6)
"Osteitis Pubis is a common cause of chronic groin pain in the football codes. It is an overuse injury. That is, it is caused by repeated trauma rather than a specific incident. However, it is not uncommon for a specific incident to trigger the symptoms." https://physioworks.com.au/injuries-conditions-1/osteitis-pubis

PREGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane Lions
Only confirms, once again, how out of the loop the average fan is as to what's really happening. Selection is not just based on what's on view to the public. Thankfully. Good for Oscar to be putting his hand up.

Sigh.

Simon Goodwin on SEN (26/6/19)
That's because your understanding of the game is so superficial and one-dimensional. (Though there was no "passionate defence", just a statement, though this is typical of your straw man arguments.)

I've come to the right place then.

Injury List - Season 2019
Yep, because sometimes injuries are like that. And you don't have to look at Smith, the Joe Daniher case is typical. Not all bodies respond to the same treatment in the same way and over the same time frame. If they did, most doctors would be out of business.

Injury List - Season 2019
It could be one week, it could be 3-4 weeks: on the information we have at the moment it's too early to say, and we'll see how it evolves over the next week or so at which time, with more information, we'll be able to make a more definitive prognosis. What's so difficult to understand here? Have none of you ever been to a doctor?

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
"Meanwhile Michael Hibberd is expected to be available to return this week, assuming he is able to get through training. Hibberd had surgery after the Queen’s Birthday game to realign a plate that was inserted when he broke his collarbone against Gold Coast in round eight. Defender Jake Lever will miss another week with bruising suffered to his reconstructed knee. "Lever is probably another week, he is a lot better this week but taking into consideration what his last 4-6 weeks has looked like as well he probably misses another week," Mahoney said."

Oscar McDonald
Aha, all has been revealed: "The Demons pulled McDonald out of all playing for three weeks and put him through an intensive three-week weights and agility program to build his body and confidence. "In the first part of the season Oscar was not able to do what he wanted to do and we had to find a way to help him get back to playing the footy he knows he can play," Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said. McDonald did have an operation after the end of the season and missed a large portion of the pre-season which had set him back, Mahoney said." https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/demon-does-mini-pre-season-to-find-form-20190624-p520tw.html

Jesus H Christ. Talk about long bow. (Also, you don't need the "blatantly". He didn't say it, full stop.)

Coburg v Casey Demons - Round 12
Got nothing on the BS that goes around Demonland. Weideman got injured in the Casey game, was reported at the time. Oscar was injured at the end of the GWS game, also reported at the time, even though he played the following week. He also had hip operations in the off-season, so perhaps a combination of those factors.

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
Nowhere near it. It's the bottom 6/fringe players who are our undoing, especially when it comes to keeping possession (disposal). Wagner, Petty up one end, Hunt, Hannan the other. Throw in ANB, Baker, Frost ... just too many players who can't reliably hit another player by hand or foot. Plus Jetta/Lever/Hibberd/Melksham out really hurting us.

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
Not really - not only is he not even named in the VFL this week, Oscar hasn't played since he was dropped, having missed the last Casey match as well. 4-6 week case of mystery injury syndrome?
-
PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
You could potentially argue anything. But you continually to "potentially argue" that players came back too early.

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
Not including Lewis after doing very well down at Casey is a bit of a statement - though perhaps they need someone who can play tall? Josh Wagner with a get-out-of-jail free card.
