  1. Once again, WOULD YOU RECOGNISE IT IF YOU SAW IT..? I'm not convinced you would. But even then you'd go back to whingeing about not have Jack Watt's weight updated on the website after he ate breakfast.
  2. Brad Green is our current best option to play FF, but it is akin to the Doggies playing Brad Johnson at FF. I am sure we will see this in coming years as Green gets older, but for now, due to a lack of sufficient support, he is more valuable around the ground. If he was bigger I'd agree, but a guy his size would drown at FF with the support we can give him.
  3. Surely you are given a reasonable timeframe in which to prove you can perform such duties. I'd say that the timeframe you personally are giving to see these results is far too short. Also, surely some of the responsibility for learning falls upon the student, not merely the teacher.
  4. You say all this... and in the previous breath you have demanded to see instant results! Your comedic talents know no bounds.
  5. Would you recognise it if you saw it..?
  6. I don't think Jetta has been a standout this season, but don't you think he deserves at least a shot at a spot on the interchange? I think he was great at the end of last year and love his attack on the footy. Or is he injured and this somehow got by me..?
  7. That's only par though. I expect Bennell to score an albatross.
  8. Fear of body contact causes him to have great evasive skills? Might want to revise that bit as it sounds a tad ridiculous.

  10. Reading the articles written by Martin Flanagan last year leads me to believe this won't be a major problem.
  11. Daily we are reminded that the team will improve over time and that there will be bad losses along the way... so why the hell does anyone act surprised?? Carrying on with tripe like your posts in this thread is only petty and annoying. It's simply a matter of keeping certain things in perspective. Looking forward to a good development season in 2010, little more.
  12. I'd expect him to. Naitanui was pick 2. He will be a good player and I expect him to put in good performances. The reality of the situation is that Watts is more than a year younger and has a much less developed body than Naitanui. Right now he can't compete and it is unfair to compare the 2. Only the foolish would try. Watts will be good and once he has played senior football against big bodies for multiple seasons (as NicNat has) then I fully expect him to have the same impact or better. It's pretty simple really.
  13. I think they are 1-2 years ahead of us. And as good as Davey is, Cox and Kerr are both a hell of a lot better. Woosha was 100% correct when saying Judd did them a favour by leaving (or Carlton did by coughing up so much in the trade)
  14. Definitely from outside the box. I don't see it working, but I can't see a reason not to try. I really like the drive Frawley gives out of defence so he'd have to dominate to make it worth keeping him up forward.
  15. Unbelievable. Just... shocking. I can't find the words.
  16. Hell, why don't we just have a final 18? The first 10 teams get the first week off and the top 6 teams get a 2nd chance; the top 2 get a 3rd chance and in the 4th round the opportunity to recruit one mature-aged player from an already eliminated club. The finals run for just over 2 months. Brilliant. Oh, and Vlad is the central field umpire for the Grand Final itself. Either that or the umpire has a brain implant that Demetriou can control via a panel on his armchair in his corporate box. If that somehow fails, he gives the thumbs up or down on all decisions gladiator-stylie.
  17. Was surprised when Colby talked Maric up and likened him to Missy Higgins. Can't say I disagree, albeit Addam has a long way to go yet.
  18. He actually missed the majority of 2009 because he tore the meniscus in his knee, but don't let that get in the way of some good hysteria. I'm far from worried. A lot of players coming back from injury get little scares and pull the pin at the smallest inkling of tightness. Wona still has heaps of time up his sleeve. On a positive note, it's good to hear about young Fitzy and Gizza's efforts for Casey.
  19. I'd just like to register my chagrin in regards to this thread. It is great that Rudeboy is in a position to help us out with info from time to time, but pleading for him to "put our minds at ease" is a bit over the top. It's a fine line between that and asking him to abuse his position in Liam's life for our purposes (although I'm sure he's wise enough to not do that). Threads like this that have ensured I keep my connections to those at MFC well & truly under my hat. Also to do that and then question the validity of what he says... Just relax a bit guys. Enough hysteria and second-guessing and the season is still 2 weeks away. Edit: just saw Rudeboy's post. But what I said stands.
  20. Garland may have played in the backline mainly so far in his AFL career, but it doesn't mean how won't or can't play forward going forward. I'll continue to call for him to be put forward. I firmly believe the best apprenticeship for a forwardline player is to begin in the backline.
  21. LJ could do with developing his body a bit more, but I still think he was fine to play senior footy, considering the role he played.
  22. I want Dunn in the team and rotating between FF and a HFF. I think he should claim a spot in the best 22 this year. A career-defining year for this young man.
