Yesterday's game was just laughable. The mistakes in the 3rd quarter were pathetic. I was sitting there at the game wondering how the tigers beat essendon the week before. I admit that game was not worth winning to lose a draft pick. Even my parents who hate me talking about losing walked out of the game saying im not annoyed we lost. It was interesting to see players play in different positions. I liked Warnock up foward. he led well. Paul Johnson has been played in the backline before so thats nothing new. Bate in the middle was a good idea. Anyway we didn't really tank because we were winning in the last minute and that siren had sounded before that mark was taken. The richmond supporter next to me couldn't believe mcmahon was paid the mark. He also said there was no way in hell he'd kick it. On another not I thought the crowd figure was really good. Lastly Jack Grimes is slowly becoming my favourite player. Loved the mark he took in the final quarter and then played on and kicked the goal. He is also a very good kick.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/rfnews/touch...6732475171.html Sorry if the link doesn't work. But it another nice little piece that he has written. He has written some good stuff on our club. It's a shame we can't get him for next season.

The way I see it we lose out either way. If we win people will say how we did it for Jimmy and how come now we can win and it shouldn't take our President to get sick for us to find motivation to win. And its true. It should not take our president to get cancer for us to suddenly find spirit and motivation to win. On the other hand if we lose then my god the media will be all over us. Saying how spiritless we are and not doing it for Jimmy and we are heartless. I really really hope we win but in reality we are not playing good football. But I have pencilled this win in for awhile. And I hope we do.

As explained on the MFC Website you can write a message to show your support to Jim. Everyone should do it.

I had a feeling it wasn't going to be good news and it would be the dreaded C word. When I listened to the press conference on the radio tears just welled up. But he is one of the most positive people and he has great support behind him. Come on Jimmy get rid of the bastard, the whole football community is behind you. As David Schwarz said on radio today he hopes karma exists because of all the good work Jimmy has done not only in the football world but in the community and he said that good karma better come its way. puts our season into perspective really

Lets face it Bailey didn't inherit a great list in his first season and this season isn't much better. If we are in the same situation this time next year then questions will be asked but he deserves to devlop these players so he deserves to stay even beyond next year. We just need to see how good a coach he is when we actually become really good. It would be good to see some success under him. being Melbouren coach would not be a fun job at the moment. these issues never arise when we win. Lets just wipe off this year get the top 2 picks and start winning games next year. By the way do you think i will be the only one ringing the club on monday re newing my memebrship? I haven't done it yet cause I haven't had the money but I sign up every year. i doubt they will be busy

Leigh and Dennis were talking about Watts and Leigh said he has done nothing to show me why he got picked number 1. Then straight away Watts marked and kicked his 2nd. Dennis said a few positives about Watts but I thought it was an interesting comment. There has been so much hype about this kid and this would have been the first time Leigh saw him live. Hodge and Reiwoldt didn't star in the first 2 games did they? Lets be patient with the kid. On a other note should we keep playing him in the seniors or send him back to Casey for a hit out.

That's a very good team. Glad to have Green back, we have been missing his goals. Cheny is very very unlucky. He was great last week and did some courageous stuff but with those 4 coming back someone had to be dropped. Also glad to see Bennell back in the team. Dew must be the hawthorn player dropped for disciplinary reasons. Quarters mentioned it when he said what's coming up in sport. He didn't mention Dew but just said the Hawks drop a star player for disciplinary reasons. Looking foward to sunday to see how we go.

After Freo beat West Coast we are now sitting 16th. I thought we wouldn't be sitting there for awhile yet but Freo and Richmond have actually started winning. Freo 2 wins in a row now.

Dean did say that he likes to get 2 full pre seasons in his draft picks. He said that look at a player in Jack Watts after 2 full pre seasons and basically we should be looking at finals then. It's a shame he wasn't on for longer. He is a funny guy. I thought they may have asked a bit more about the game tomorrow but I guess they didn't have much time.

In the main news they had a story on the team and Dean Bailey visiting the Shrine to learn more about ANZAC Day and learn about Melbourne players who went ot war. James McDonald read out we will remember them reading then they showed them watching soem films then they stood for the last post. Brad Miller said he was moved by it and couldn't imagine having to go to war at age 16. What a great initative by Dean Bailey to get the club together and learn about ANZAC Day.

Did Moloney get injured? They said on the radio he was off and had ice on his calf. Not good news. He was playing well and is aplayer who kicks long and goes hard at the ball. I didn't hear anything on Foxtel.

Can we have our first win next week? I give us a slight chance. Apart from when we play freo at the mcg later on this season this could be our only other chance. If our mid field can get on top and our fowards kick goals hopefully we can win. I'd keep Meesen in for next week. I know he got beaten around the ground but he actually won some taps and hit them down to our midfielders. Just not sure who to put on Riho. Maybe Warnock when he plays foward and Bruce when he runs around the ground. Next week should be interesting.

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...658-661,00.html Just saw on ch10 news then that the 24 year old has been released on bail. Apparently he admitted using ecstasy during the day. He shed a tear as the magistrate put him on strict conditions where he can't attend any sporting events. He said his 5 days in custody had put the fear of god into him. Your not so tough when you don't have your mates there are you. Twit. -
Demons appoint Tim Harrington It's good to see we can afford to put more staff on to help the club improve. I thought he was still at the Roos. Hopefully he cna do some good work.

27,128 is a very good total. It's great they we are a head of some other clubs. If somehow we manage to beat the pies i'm sure it will go up even more. Keep it up
-
27,128 is the total on the MFC Website which is pretty good.

On channel 7 news just then they showed it on the sport segment. Tim Watson found it very amusing. He said its on the club website. It looked funny especially seeing them in th eshower and even jim and bails getting in on the ad

At the end of the breakfast show this morning andy maher said join us tomorrow when we speak to, then he names some guests and one of them was jim stynes. If he isn't on don't blame me blame andy. But why is everyone so interested in us suddenly. Anyway tune in. I'm not sure if he will be in the studio or on the phone

I have never heard a 17 year old speak with so much maturity. He was on fox sports on the draft show and said they asked him if it was true that when he was young he got beaten by a girl in a match and he came off the field and cried. He admitted it was true. He talked about melbourne's history and how they have some good young players in Cale Morton and Nathan Jones and he couldn't wait to get to the club. Can't wait to see him play
-
Who went. Did all the players show up including the former players. I believe Bailey apoligised for melbournes appalling effort. Howe long did it go for? Details please
-
Obviously he is in awesome form at the moment. I doubt junior would be able to take him especially him missing the last 3 with a groin injury. Dunn has been pretty good as a tagger and collected some scalps. So is he the obvious choice and if Harvey gets on top of him then do we look at bruce?
