  1. No I'd say your timing was pretty good actually.Come on eth!

  3. Half our list seems to be born in June. Maybe cause all there dads were all fired up in September!
  4. First name with 5 letters Members of the 2010 leadership group Numbers in the 20's Both have tattoos A history of groin injuries Nominated for the 2004 rising star
  5. I believe you are now able to pass on a rookie selection and get a group of players training with you over summer to obtain your final rookie spot in the "TRAINING SQUAD DRAFT". I believe only Richmond and Hawthorn have left themselves this option. Not sure who Richmond have. Hawthorn are picking between PJ, Nathan Ahmat-Watkins and Travis Tuck. I'm happy with Tom McNamara, I think he has the talent to be worth our last pick. Really happy with the first 4, especially the 2 guys from WA. Campbell is strange, but I'm happy with it. He should provide some leadership, is a premiership player and is good insurance, and who knows how quickly things can change. Maybe there is a slim chance we will be battling it out in finals with Campbell and Jamar in the side, with the big russian a weapon up forward.
  6. Pick 94: Lachlan Henderson (Carl) Had to take a KPP and Henderson fills a need and covers Carlton. Like most of my picks its a reach. Really hoping more than anything he'll come on but his second half of 2010 was good and he lines up with Franklin well. I've got Sydney, Port, Adel, Bris, Geel, StKilda and Richmond left now. I'll have to make a choice with my next to picks on whether I pick the best from the bad sides or get some more quality in. The Master's Team: FB: Hurn _____ _____ HB: _____ Grima _____ C: D. Swallow _____ Hill HF: _____ Henderson Monfries FF: ______ Franklin ______ R: Jamar Griffen Thomas
  7. Pick 90 for a guy we all think is a legitimate Brownlow chance next year. Steal.
  8. Everyone on that team I respect and wanted, except maybe Priddis but he's pretty good for your WCE pick. Very well done whilst getting WCE, Ess, GC, Port and Sydney knocked off.
  9. Cheers HT, happy with that. It's what I would have done, except if I got out my crystal ball and knew Eth38 was going to pluck Walker! He was high on my list.Anyway I'm just happy to get Essendon done! It's nearly 10pm
  10. Thanks HT. Got the CHB I really wanted as I think he's nearly as good as any in the league, and got me a star midfielder. Tell you what though it was hard picking between Griffen and Montagna. I can't believe both lasted as long as they did.
  11. I think it shows we have a lack of stars but a really nice group of quality players now. Obviously Frawley went early and I jumped at Jamar because I wanted a top 5 ruck. But after that there's a few players in the banner on top of this page that anyone will be happy with!
  12. I think any physiological effects of altitude training are gone within a few months, regardless of use of the 'altitude' chamber. Whether the players get the perfect training is also a query - I mean hiking and just running won't produce the body needed to play AFL.However, I'm very confident in the psychological benefits. To work together as a team and climb a mountain in sub zero conditions pushes you to the edge. You come back from that training and know what is possible in normal training. Also when the season gets toward the pointy end you can be convinced that you had a training advantage. The question is whether the costs (both financial and interruption to normal training) are worth the benefit. Maybe for a young team like us its not.
  13. Pick 54 - David Swallow (GC SUNS) FB: Hurn HB: C: Thomas Hill HF: FF: Franklin R: Jamar Swallow
  14. Round 5: Pick 47 - S. Hill - Fremantle B: Hurn HB: C: Hill Thomas HF: F: Franklin R: Jamar Also option B would be my vote, but I don't mind either way.
  15. Can't believe Bartel is still there and I won't pick him! Pick 34. The Master - Dale Thomas (Coll). I feel dirty. FB: Hurn HB: C: Thomas HF: Franklin FF: R: Jamar
  16. Round 3 Pick 27 - Shannon Hurn (WCE) B: Hurn HB: C: HF: Franklin F: R: Jamar
  17. I think I might, but I don't want everyone else knowing it. Pick 14 - Mark Jamar (Melb) HF: Franklin R: Jamar This big unco Russian man from South Australia is a bit of a bolter! Classic Prendergast 2010 selection!
  18. Sorry for holding this up guys, didn't realise I was in on this. Well in typical fashion someone had to ask for extra time. Pick 7: Player No. 312922 Lance Franklin (Hawthorn) Round 1 1. High Tower - Frawley (Melb) 2. Deez Nutz - Ablett (GC) 3. Roger Mellie - Selwood (Geel) 4. Trengove - Sandilands (Freo) 5. Destroy All - Judd (Carl) 6. Range Rover Realism - Goddard (St Kilda) 7. The Master - Franklin (Haw) 8. Eth38 9. Ox 5 Demons 10. E25
  19. What about sending him back? I know we need a key forward but wondering if key back is a good place to develop him. Certainly if we had a few injuries down back I'd throw him in there.

  21. If it helps move Collingwood into the Olympic park oval and keep them down there end of the precinct it might be good. I'm still holding on to a dream of taking over their current training oval and building our own Westpac centre, containing everything we need at Gosch's paddock. The longer I think about it though the less likely it seems.
  22. This is confusing. Is it as simple as saying the more attendance we get the more money MFC get paid. So by swiping in with 2 cards you are attending twice. Can't see how the MCC make more money on a lesser crowd. I'm sure the bigger crowd, as it comes with a bigger percentage of public would make more coin. As every public person who attends the ground pays admission, compared to every MCC attendee that pays nothing to get in - unless the MCC attendee buys visitors seats and expensive beers to make up the difference.
  23. Good luck to him. His talent is certainly around the mark - it's not like he doesn't have it. But every time he strings together a few games he gets injured. I would think he'd be over the constant injuries, realise that his body might not be designed for AFL and step down a level. But good on him for persevering.
  24. Any ideas - obviously its new player show off time, its also profit/loss reporting time. I don't think there is anything to report in regard to football department signings. Would love a nice juicy sponsorship deal!
  25. I think they were on par for the first half of the year. Not much was between Martin, Trengove and Hannebery. The second half of the year saw Trengove drop off but he wont be the first youngster to do that. Scully was probably the pick of the lot for second half of the year form. If Trenners can get back to his early season form next year then unless Martin is at polling big Brownlow votes level I wont be disappointed with our choice.
