2012 Draft ... #3 Jack Viney, then pick 4 ??
Dr. Mubutu replied to jurrahcane's topic in Melbourne Demons
If he can get those stats, and keep them up, I wouldn't give a flying rat's clacker if he doesn't improve from there. But I'm not perturbed about taking him with pick 3, so I suppose I'm not your intended audience. -
Wouldn't be surprised to see 1-2 late changes to the side, especially with Spencer named in the 25. Bail's availability would rest on the neurological tests to be run today, I believe.

Is he quick enough to be the lock-down small defender, with Bartram out for the season?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Dr. Mubutu replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
For all those without Foxtel, JV is playing in the Metro v Country clash today. AFL Match Centre: http://t.co/yam6q3q5 Watch me be incredibly unproductive all afternoon. -
I'd wager that there are very, very few who understand the intricacies of the legal system in the NT, hardtack.
-
Wish list? 3 'Melbourne supporters' signed with the club they apparently supported growing up: C. Judd S. Pendlebury L. Franklin Not asking too much, surely?

AFL gets hypocritical over player poaching

When have the AFL not been hypocritical about anything? -
2012 Draft ... #3 Jack Viney, then pick 4 ??

I just hope that if we draft him he grows more than 1cm, being listed at 191cm...... -
2012 Draft ... #3 Jack Viney, then pick 4 ??

Jack Viney says hello. -
Yeah, but the minute things go wrong, they'll crucify him.
-
This exactly. Disposal still shocking. Only holding down a spot at Collingwood due to injuries. Also, questions over his character. (As with Beams)
-
He'll return forward when Neeld tells him to. No sooner, no later.
-
Imagine trying to fit THAT payment under the salary cap.....
-
OUT: Clark (inj.), Blease IN: Martin, Bail IMO Blease hasn't done enough defensively. Was only a late inclusion for Bail on Sunday. If Bail is still out, bring in the Gys. Considering the 'concussion test' is on the Friday, we'll know by then if Bail is in or not. If Gysberts isn't a definite to play, leave him at Casey so he at least gets to play out the match. B: Sellar Frawley Nicholson HB: Watts Garland McDonald C: Trengove Grimes Bail/Gysberts HF: Howe Rivers Sylvia FF: Dunn Martin Magner F: Jamar Moloney Jones S: Bate McKenzie MacDonald (Davey)
-
His 2010 was only rated because he was playing for Collingwood. Massively overrated IMO. Will be in trouble next year when Cloke leaves.
-
Agreed. Didn't help that the AFL was dealing most of those cards from the bottom of the pack........
-
Wouldn't be surprised if we use pick 12, especially if the club can somehow bluff GWS and GC not to bid on Viney. Toumpas Stringer Boak Viney 3rd round pick Magner promoted Draft success.
-
Yep. Good to see the club are stepping right up to the table, poker faces ready. Will be an interesting post season, even if it will be diluted by the trade period, for some reason, stretching over 3 weeks.

From what I've heard: Mason Shaw - Seems a little like a poor man's Clark Kristian Jaksch - apparently has been playing down back, much like a recent much maligned #1 pick......... and a fellow called Joe Daniher All lead-up marking types, not the Darling bash'n'crash that everyone on here seems to think that we need.
-
Jesus. Big call.
-
You have got to be kidding me. Rivers: Port wouldn't want. Pearce, Trengove, Schulz, Salter, I think they're set for third tall types. They'd need a true KPP. Martin: They wouldn't want another developing ruck. They'd want a Jamar. Blease: If he's upset that Scully left, surely he'd be off in that direction, as opposed to farther away? Don't forget, GWS will still play 6-7 games a year in Melbourne, as opposed to 2 at best in Adelaide. Realistically, if we're not to use a high pick, they'd be looking at a player like a Davis, Fitzpatrick, or, dare I say it, Tapscott, plus our 2nd rounder. We wouldn't go for that, so if it's to happen, we WILL lose a first-round pick.
-
Everyone knows: There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.
-
You've said we can pick up Viney with a 3rd round pick. Not a chance in hell.
-
Will Martin get his chance back or will they give Cook a go....

Bring on the SME! -
*facepalm* How many times does the F/S bidding system have to be explained on here?
