  1. I think the above team is ample reason why AFL sides should have a standalone team. It's not fair on the Casey players who have to be dropped back to the development league, then also at finals time when we send most blokes off for operations. And most importantly, it's also not fair on the MFC having so many of our players playing under a coach that his primary objective is to win playing a style he wants them to play. When we have a coach with his own game plan, with numerous AFL players working on specific areas of their game, somethings going to give. We don't need to wipe the Casey relationship, just the alignment with the Casey Scorpions. It just has to happen.
  2. Will be too soon. He can be Jack's assistant.
  3. I hope Jack Viney is Roos' successor, which would be about 3 years after Jack's playing career has finished. Should give Roos about 15 years to groom him and be ready to take over when it's time for Roos to step aside.
  4. See Matt, I find this totally acceptable. I'm sick of hearing whinging "celebrities" sooking about trolls. Now personally, i don't believe I am what woudl be classed as a "troll", but when they put idiotic comments up on social networking sites, they are voicing their opinion, just as much as you are in your abuse to Fl og Barrett. Now, the sook has blocked you, no doubt becasue he didn't like what he was reading. Ironic considering that's the very reason you feel the need to reply in the first place! They get in the spotlight, they don't care who they bring down as long as they come out on top, then cry when someone puts them down. Just have to watch the Brownlow Red Carpet even from a couple of years ago when Charlotte Dawson, Alex Perry and a couple of othershosted it - they were being nothing but disrespectful, bullying kunts toward some of the WAGs. Then the media want us to feel sorry when one of them gets a bit in return? Not from me. I found some of the replies to Fl og's tweet the other night quite hilarious. Would love to know which one yours was! There are some bloody witty and funny people out there!
  5. A very simplictic, non-expert opinion that I have, and how I have played footy before; - When I chose to bump, I would do so in an upward manner. - When I chose to brace for impact, I would generally do so in a rolling manner where my shoulder would roll forward and downward, where the tricep/back of shoulder would take most of the impact. Rarely would you see someone with the intention to bump do so in that forward/downward style. They were generally thugs, as it mean the area that they were aiming at (ie head) would be lower - generally when I player was on the ground. There is nothing tha tI can see that would suggest Vieny's intentions were to bump.
  6. Are you sure? I don't believe they can. While I hope tonight won't provide it, I need proof sorry! (Not being a smart ass, I'm just very confident that they aren't allowed to!).
  7. BB, can they upgrade a charge during an appeal case? I'm of the view that the penalty can't be more, so apart from the finanical loss, there is nothing to lose by taking it further.
  8. If he does, I might too... Bloody hell, how can a white collar type bloke that I am, compete with an AFL player with the nickname "Pig Dog"? No chance!
  9. Saty - if you speak to Bernie Vince, can you please ask him for his sister's phone number? Either sister will be fine. Here's a fact - they are both smoking hot. Cheers.

  11. Appealing! Good work MFC.
  12. Finally you get one right HH.
  13. Further to this, instead of BBO wearing his miniskirt to the game, I would dearly love to see him in a tutu, "floating" up and down the isles doing some of his best work. I won't be at the game, but would love nothing more than seeing this on TV.
  14. While I understand the frustration, and am feeling it just as much as anyone, this weekend's game is a celebration for the BCNA. This is their moment, and we should totally respect it and not make headlines for the wrong reasons. That said, we could always call in the services of the Melbourne Ballet Company, and have them, dressed in pink, form the guard of honour leading up to the banners for both the MFC and WBFC. They could also have Swan Lake bein gplayed on the big screen during and after the Field of Women.
  15. The unearthing of a grey area in the sub/concussion rule. We need one of our bigger guys to come off with 5 minutes left of the first and second quarters, undergo a concussion test, while we are able to put our sub in to the game. Salem (at this stage until he can play a full game) comes on for a dominant 5 minutes at the end of each quarter, provides those fresh legs that are hard to keep up with at the end of each quarter, runs the opposition in to the ground, sngas a goal or two, then at the start of the next quarter we have our "concussion decoy" come back on. Other than that, I don't know if I've seen a MFC captain's goal as good as what Chunk clunked in the last quarter. Quiet-ish game, stood up when we needed.
  16. The problem how I see it is that there are so many individuals who are involved in AFL. Their role, be it minimal or at a greater level, can have an impact on the way the game is played, and also on how fans react is certain manners. It's getting to the stage where too many of these individuals are using their role to make headlines about themselves, not what the game is about, and it is having a significant impact on AFL as we used to know it. Look at the umpires for example, Razor Ray has 2 hours a week where he gets to have an impact on the game. Umpires in AFL are different to other sports, they are there to officiate, not dictate. The game doesn't need umpires to have so much say. Problem is, the media put bloody microphones on them so we can hear what is said. Sadly, the umpires think it's a way to communicate with the public, when quite frankly, I couldn't give a toss what they have to say. Then we get to all the "journalists". These morons have become celebrities, and think they need to report on anything that could be seen as a negative, then turn it in to a major story. As fans, all we want to know is the basics - who's injured? Who played well at reserve level? Again, these idiots have are getting brought in as "experts", when their job is to report. I honestly taste vomit in my mouth when I see fwits like Ralph, Barrett, and to some degree Robinson on the tv, especially during a game. They use tha topportunity to inflate their own ego and create controversy. They can't impact an actual game, so they look for the next best thing. Then we have those muppets last night on the "jury". How they could honestly say tha tViney intended to bump is an absolute joke. They didn't have to find him guilty. They chose the cowards way out, which in turn, whether it was thier intention or not, has created this media storm, and put their name up in lights for a few days. They have made a significant impact on the game, from a decision that was totally unnecissary. Sadly, we won't go back to the days where we have 40-odd blokes running around an oval, putting their bodies on the line while following the direction of their coach, with a couple of blokes dressed in white there to officate the game and blow their whistle when something happens. Where we buy the paper the day after to read the report of the game, see who the paper picked as their best players, and tell us who kicked all the goals. Where any player that is reported gets a fair hearing and an appropriate outcome is achieved due to common sense working in conjunction with the rules of the game. The game is a shadow of its former self, of which it's not hard to find the culprits for making it this way. Edit - I should say that not "all" umpires, journos and other employees/contractors of the game are to blame. There are great journos - Flanagan, Quayle to name a couple. There are some umpires that do their job well. I think most would know the main people that I am talking about.
  17. Interesting isn't it? If you said that BBO's tackle gave you a man crush, I'd have all sorts of concern for you. The fact that it's Dawesy's tackle that made you feel that way is totally acceptable.
  18. Best part about him being so honest in his appraisals, especially when talking to the media, is that he has to go out there and back it up, which he is clearly doing. We have wanted our actions to speak louder than words for so long, finally it's happening in the way we hoped. Thank/s Chris/t.
  19. They would be exposed to twice as much spending the first quarter next to BBO in the miniskirt.
  20. I'm interested to know your thoughts on why he showed he was more than capable of playing a KPF role against Carlton, but has shown signs of incompetence since (I agree with you that he has been woeful since the Carlton game). Hopefully you don't put it down to him playing a different role - pretty much the entire list are in the same boat and a lot have taken significant steps forward.
  21. I'm happy with my Pendlebury comparison, thanks anyway. But, if he turns out anywhere near as good as Pendlebury or Black, then that's a big win. I'm confident that he has what it takes to achieve this.
  22. Brace yourself Chook - RPFC will want proof of this statistic. And then if he does leave, he'll want to know why you think that his trade wasn't part of the 10% that weren't set up 12 months in advance. He will also correct you by saying that Frawley is a free agent, so it won't be a trade as we know it. That's just how he rolls.
  23. Rjay, I think his strength is that he doesn't rush his handball. Yes, he can be quick, but he seems to get away with holding on to the ball that split second longer, drawing a player to him to free up a teammate. I think his errors by hand have more to do with his teammates not being on the same page as him. That will improve the more they play together.
